and the ear
wal-udhuna

for the ear
bil-udhuni
ا ذ ن
and the tooth
wal-sina
س ن ن
for the tooth
bil-sini

and (for) wounds
wal-jurūḥa

(is) retribution
qiṣāṣun

But whoever
faman
م ن
gives charity
taṣaddaqa
ص د ق
with it
bihi

then it is
fahuwa

an expiation
kaffāratun
ك ف ر
for him
lahu
ل
And whoever
waman
م ن
(does) not
lam
ل م
judge
yaḥkum
ح ك م
by what
bimā
ب م ا
has revealed
anzala
ن ز ل
Allah
l-lahu
ا ل ه
then those
fa-ulāika
ا و ل ا
[they]
humu
ه م
(are) the wrongdoers
l-ẓālimūna
ظ ل م
