They said, "Its recompense (is that one) who, it is found in his bag, then he (will be) his recompense. Thus (do) we recompense the wrongdoers."
[The brothers] replied: "Its requital? He in whose camel-pack [the cup] is found-he shall be [enslaved as] a requital thereof! Thus do we [ourselves] requite the doers of [such] wrong
They said: The penalty for it! He in whose bag (the cup) is found, he is the penalty for it. Thus we requite wrong-doers
They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it is found, should be held (as bondman) to atone for the (crime). Thus it is we punish the wrong-doers!"
Joseph’s brothers responded, “The price will be ˹the enslavement of˺ the one in whose bag the cup is found. That is how we punish the wrongdoers.”
[The brothers] replied, “The penalty will be [the enslavement of] the person in whose bag the cup is found: this is how we punish wrongdoers.”
They replied, The penalty should be that he in whose saddlebag it is found, should be held [as bondman] to atone for the crime. That is how we punish the wrongdoers
They said: The requital of this is that the person in whose bag it is found shall himself be (held for) the satisfaction thereof; thus do we punish the wrongdoers
They said: The recompense for it will be that he in whose saddlebag it was located will be the recompense. Thus, we give recompense to the ones who are unjust.
They said: "Its penalty? Whoever´s saddlebag it is found in will [act as] his own penalty. Thus we penalize wrongdoers."
They (Joseph’s brothers) replied: “His penalty should be he, in whose bag it is found, and then it is his punishment. Thus we punish the wrongdoers!”
They said, “Its recompense will be that he in whose saddlebag it is found—he himself shall be its recompense. Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers.
They replied, “His penalty—if it’s found in his bag—will be that he will become yours. This is how we penalize the wrongdoers.”
They said, 'His punishment, if it is found in his bag: he will belong to you. Thus we penalize the guilty.'
They (the brethren) said: “The punishment for it — he in whose shopping bag it is found, so he is (the) ransome for it . Thus we punish the wrong-doers.”
They replied: "The punishment of he in whose pack you find the royal cup will be to make him your bondsman, that’s how we punish wrongdoers."
They said, "The recompense for this (is that) he in whomever?s saddlebag (the tumbler) is found, then he shall be its recompense. Thus we recompense the unjust."
Joseph's brothers replied, "In whosoever baggage it is found, that person will be your bondsman. Thus is the punishment of the unjust."
They said, .Its punishment? The one in whose saddlebag it is found shall himself be the punishment. This is how we punish the wrongdoers
The brothers replied, "The penalty for it! He in whose bag the cup is found he shall be the penalty for it. (The thief belongs to you). Thus we requite the doers of such wrong (in our land)."
They said, "He, in whose baggage the stolen goods is found, should be arrested and kept along with the goods. That is how we punish the transgressors!"
They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it (the drinking cup) is found, should be held to make up for the (crime). It is like this that we punish the wrongdoers!"
[The brothers] said, "Its recompense is that he in whose bag it is found - he [himself] will be its recompense. Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers."
They said: "The punishment is that whomever it is found in his bags, then to compensate is his punishment. It is such that we punish the wicked."
and they answered, ‘The penalty will be [the enslavement of] the person in whose bag the cup is found: this is how we punish wrongdoers.’
They said: his meed shall be that he, in whose pack it is found, shall himself be recompense thereof. Thus we reccmpense the wrong- doers
"The punishment for that (should be)," they said, "that he in whose luggage it is found should be held as punishment. This is how we repay the wrong-doers."
They said, ´Its reparation shall be him in the saddlebags of whom it is discovered. With us that is how wrongdoers are repaid.´
They said: "The penalty for it is: the (freedom of the) one in whose saddlebag it is found is the penalty for it. That is how we recompense the wrongdoers (who steal)."
They said, ‘The requital for it shall be that he in whose saddlebag it is found shall give himself over as its requital. Thus do we requite the wrongdoers.’
They said, "The recompense thereof is he in whose pack it is found - he shall be the recompense (atonement) thereof (as a bondsman); thus do we recompense the unjust."
They said: “Its punishment, for whomever that it is found in his saddlebag, is himself (becoming a slave) as punishment, that is how we punish the wrongdoers.”
They said, “The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it is found should be held to pay for the crime. This is how we punish criminals.
“In whoever’s saddlebag the measuring bowl is found will have to give himself up and become a slave,” the brothers said, “that is how we punish wrongdoers.”
They replied: "He in whose saddlebag the cup is found, he himself shall be its recompense." Thus do we punish the wrong-doers
They said: "The punishment is that he in whose saddlebag it is found will himself serve as the punishment. It is so that we punish the wicked."
The brothers said, "The punishment for this is that the person in whose bag it is found shall himself suffer it. Thus we do punish the wrongdoers."
They said, 'its penalty is, that he in whose baggage it is found, be himself the servant in recompense. Thus is the punishment of the unjust at our place.
They said, "The punishment, if it is found in his bag, is that the thief belongs to you. We thus punish the guilty."
They replied: 'Its recompense in whosoever's saddle bag it is found, he shall be its recompense. As such we punish the harmdoers.
They said: The penalty for this -- the person in whose bag it is found, he himself is the penalty for it. Thus do we punish the wrongdoers
They said: "His reward whom (it) is found in his packsaddle, so it is his reward ." As/like that We reimburse the unjust/oppressive
The brothers replied: “If the cup is found in anybody’s bag, he would be yours as a slave. This is the way that we punish the thief.”
They said, "The punishment for it is that he in whose bag it shall be found, shall himself become a slave for it; this is how we punish the unjust."
They replied, `The punishment for it - he in whose saddle-bag it is found shall himself be the penalty for it. Thus do we punish the wrongdoers.
They said: ‘Its penalty will be that the one from whose sack (the goblet) is found, he himself will be its penalty (i.e., he should be held in retribution). That is how we punish the wrongdoers.
They replied, `The punishment for this is that he in whose saddle-bag this (vessel) is found shall himself be the penalty for it (and so he himself shall be confiscated as its forfeit). This is how we punish the wrong doers.
They (Yoosufs (Joseph) brothers) said: "The penalty should be that he, in whose bag it is found, should be held for the punishment (of the crime). Thus we punish the Zalimoon (wrong-doers, etc.)!"
They said, 'This shall be its recompense -- in whoever's saddlebag the goblet is found, he shall be its recompense. So we recompense the evildoers.
Joseph's brethren answered, as to the reward of him, in whose sack it shall be found, let him become a bondman in satisfaction for the same: Thus do we reward the unjust, who are guilty of theft
They said, 'The recompense thereof is he in whose pack it is found - he shall be the recompense thereof; thus do we recompense the unjust.
They said, "That he in whose camel-pack it shall be found be given up to you in satisfaction for it. Thus recompense we the unjust."
They said: ‘He in whose pack the cup is found shall penalize himself for what he did. Thus do we punish the wrongdoers.‘
They said, “The requital for it is that whoever in whose luggage it is found, he himself will be the price for it. Thus do we requite those who do wrong.”
They said: ‘The penalty is that he in whose saddlebag the chalice is found, he will be held (as bondsman). This is how we chastise those who indulge in wrongdoing.”
They said: the punishment is that whoever it is found in his luggage, he will be the punishment, this is how we punish the wrongdoers.
They said, “The punishment should be for the one in whose saddlebag (the goblet) is found. He should be its recompense. Thus we punish criminals.”
They said, “The repayment should be that he in whose saddlebag it is found, he himself is the repayment. Thus we repay the unjust ones.”
They said: "Its penalty? Whoever's saddlebag it is found in will [act as] his own penalty. Thus we penalize wrongdoers."
They said, “His penalty, whoever was found in his saddlebag: so, it will be his penalty. And thus, we penalize the oppressors.”
They replied: 'He in whose camel-pack it is found shall be enslaved in punishment for it. Thus do we punish the wrongdoers.'
(The brothers) said, “Its recompense will be that in whose bag the water cup is found (the owner of the bag) shall be arrested... Thus do we recompense the wrongdoers!”
They said: 'The penalty thereof is that he in whose bag it is found shall himself be(held as bondsman)in penalty for it. Thus do we punish the unjust'.
-Being sure of their innocence-, the brothers said: "He who is found guilty of theft shall have to pay for it or else be the property of the state, and it serves him right; for thus do we treat (in Jewish Can'an) the wrongful of actions."
They said, “The penalty for it (is that), he in whose bag it is found, he (himself will receive) the penalty for it, thus do we penalize the unjust.”
They said, 'Its recompense is he in whose pack it is found, then he shall be its recompense; thus we recompense the wrongdoers.'
They said: "The penalty should be that he in whose saddle-bag it is found, should be held (as bondman) to atone for the (crime). Thus it is we punish the wrong- doers!"
They said, "Its recompense (is that one) who, it is found in his bag, then he (will be) his recompense. Thus (do) we recompense the wrongdoers.
