Those are the signs of the wise Book,
31:3
Guidance and mercy for the good-doers,
31:4
Those who are steadfast in the prayer and give the alms and they, they are sure of the hereafter;
31:5
Those are on guidance from their Lord, and those, they are the prosperous.
31:6
And among mankind is he who buys the diversion of narration, to cause to go astray from the way of God without knowledge, and to take it in mockery; those, for them is shameful punishment.
31:7
And when Our signs are recited to him, he turns away proudly, as if he did not hear them, as if in his two ears is dulness; so give him glad tidings of painful punishment.
31:8
Indeed, those who believed and did good works, for them are the gardens of pleasure,

To dwell forever in it; the promise of God is true, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
31:10
He created the heavens without columns which you see; and He threw in the earth firm mountains lest it moves with you; and He dispersed in it of every creature; and We sent down water from the heaven, then We made to grow in it of every noble kind.
31:11
This is the creation of God. So show Me what those who are besides Him created. Nay, the wrongdoers are in clear error.

And surely, certainly We gave Luqman wisdom, saying, 'Be Thankful to God.’ And whoever is thankful, then he is only thankful for his soul; and whoever disbelieves, then indeed, God is free of need, praiseworthy.
31:13
And when Luqman said to his son while admonishing him, 'O my son! Do not associate partners with God, indeed, idolatry is surely a great injustice.'
31:14
And We have instructed man with his parents, his mother bore him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years, saying, 'Be thankful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the destination.
31:15
And if they strive against you on that you associate with Me that which you have no knowledge of, then do not obey them. And accompany them in the world with kindness, and follow the way of he who repents to Me; then to Me is your return, then I will inform you of what you used to do.
31:16
'O my son! Indeed it, if it is the weight of a grain of mustard, and it is in a rock or in the heavens or in the earth, God will come with it; indeed God is subtle, aware.
31:17
O my son! Be steadfast in the prayer; and bid the good and forbid from the bad; and be patient over what befell you; indeed, that is of the determination of affairs.
31:18
And do not put on a contemptuous mien to mankind; and do not walk in the earth exultantly; indeed, God does not love every arrogant boaster.
31:19
And be moderate in your walk; and lower your voice; indeed, the most terrible of voices is surely the voice of the asses.'
31:20
Did you not see that God has subjected to you what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and He amply bestowed on you His favours, apparent and hidden? And among mankind is he who disputes concerning God without knowledge nor guidance nor an illuminating Book.
31:21
And when it is said to them, 'Follow what God has sent down,' they say, 'Nay, we will follow what we found our fathers upon.' Even though the devil calls them to the punishment of the blaze?
31:22
And whoever submits his face to God, while he is a good-doer, then indeed, he has grasped the firm grip; and to God is the end of the affairs.
31:23
And whoever disbelieves, then let not his disbelief grieve you; to Us is their return, then We will inform them of what they did; indeed, God knows what the breasts own.

We will give them enjoyment, a little; then We will force them to harsh punishment.
31:25
And surely, if you ask them, ‘Who created the heavens and the earth?’ They will surely, definitely say, 'God.' Say, 'Praise be to God.' Nay, most of them do not know.

Your creation nor your resurrection is not except like one soul; indeed God is hearing, seeing.
31:29
Did you not see that God makes the night enter into the day and He makes the day enter into the night? And He subjected the sun and the moon, all running to a named term; and that God is aware of what you do.
31:30
That is because God, He is the Truth, and that what they call on besides Him is the falsehood, and that God, He is the High, the Great.
31:31
Did you not see that the ships sail in the sea by the favours of God, that He may show you of His signs? Indeed, in that surely are signs for every patient, grateful one.
31:32

31:33
O mankind! Fear your Lord and fear a day a father will not pay for his son, and a newborn baby, he will not pay anything for his father. Indeed, the promise of God is true. So definitely do not let not the worldly life deceive you, and definitely do not let not the deceiver deceive you about God.
31:34
Indeed, God, with Him is the knowledge of the Hour; and He sends down the rain; and He knows what is in the wombs; and no soul knows what it will earn tomorrow; and no soul knows in what land it will die; indeed, God is knowing, aware.
