62:1  Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth is reverent to Allah, the Sovereign, the Holy, the Almighty, the All-Wise.

62:2  HE is Who has sent to the people without a revealed text, a messenger from amongst them. He recites unto them HIS verses, and he purifies them, and teaches them the timeless Book, and the wisdom [therefrom], whereas before this, they categorically were in brazen error.

62:3  And [HE has sent him to] others of them, who have not yet joined with them. HE is the Almighty, All-Wise.

62:4  That is the bounty of Allah. HE gives it to whoever HE wills. Allah is the possessor of the transcendent bounty.

62:5  The example of the ones who were given to uphold the Torah and then upheld it not, is like the example of the donkey loaded with voluminous tomes. Vile is the example of the people who have persistently denied the signs of Allah. And Allah does not guide the people who persist in doing wrong.

62:6  Say, “O you who follow the Jewish faith, if you claim that you are allies of Allah, to the exclusion of other people— then long for death, if you are truthful.”

62:7  They will never ever long for it because of what their hands have sent ahead. Allah is fully knowing of the wrongdoers.

62:8  Say, “For certain, the death which you are fleeing from—it most certainly, will meet up with you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the unseeable and the evident. Thereupon, HE will inform you of what you were doing.

62:9  O you who have embraced Faith, when you are called to the prayer of the day of Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah, and set the [worldly] business aside. That is best for you, if you truly knew.

62:10  Then when the prayer is concluded, disperse in the land, and seek of the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah much and often, so you may prosper.

62:11  Yet when they see a bargain on offer, or an amusement, they break away toward it and leave you standing in your place. Say, “That which is with Allah is better than the amusement and the bargain [they chase]. And Allah is the best of the sustainers.
