Then not was their plea when came to them Our punishment except that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
And when Our punishment came upon them, they had nothing to say for themselves, and could only cry, "Verily, we were wrongdoers!"
No plea had they, when Our terror came unto them, save that they said: Lo! We were wrong-doers
When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: "Indeed we did wrong."
Their only cry—when overwhelmed by Our torment—was, “We have indeed been wrongdoers.”
Their only cry when Our punishment came to them was, “How unjust we were!”
and when Our scourge fell upon them, their only cry was, We were indeed wrongdoers
Yet their cry, when Our punishment came to them, was nothing but that they said: Surely we were unjust
Then, there had been no calling out when Our might drew near to them, but that they said: Truly, we had been ones who are unjust.
Once Our might came to them, their appeal was merely to say: "We have been such wrongdoers!"
their plea was not uttered when Our punishment came to them but they said: “Surely, we were wrongdoers.”
Their plea, when Our Might came upon them, was but to say, “Truly we were wrongdoers.
When Our wrath befell them, their only plea was, “Indeed, we were wrongdoers.”
When Our might came upon them, their only cry was, 'We were indeed wrongdoers.'
Then their cry was not — when Our punishment came to them — except that they said: “Definitely, we had been transgressors.”
and when our scourge fell upon them, their only cry was: "We have indeed been wrongdoers."
So, in no way did they have a plea as Our violence came to them, except that they said, "Surely we were unjust."
When Our wrath struck them, they could do nothing but confess to their sins
So, when Our punishment came upon them, they could say nothing but cry, .We were wrongdoers indeed
They had no plea when Our Requital came to them, but they said, "We were indeed unjust, and used to oppress the vulnerable."
Then, when Our punishment landed on them, what rang on their lips was nothing but (a confession of guilt); "We really were the wrongdoers!"
When Our punishment got them, they did not say anything except this: Truly, we did wrong
And their declaration when Our punishment came to them was only that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers!"
Then their only saying when Our punishment came to them was: "We were wicked!"
their only cry when Our punishment came to them was, ‘How wrong we were!’
Then naught was their cry a when Our violence came upon them save that they said: verily we have been the wrong-doers
And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners."
And their only utterance, when Our violent force came down upon them, was the cry: ´Truly we have been wrongdoers!´
And there was no appeal from them when Our scourge fell upon them, except for their saying: "Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."
Then their cry, when Our punishment overtook them, was only that they said, ‘We have indeed been wrongdoers!’
7:5.And their cry, when Our wrath came upon them, was only to say, "Verily, we were unjust (wrongdoers)!"
When Our punishment came to them, their call was only to say: “Indeed we were wrongdoers.”
When Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this, “Indeed we did wrong.
and when Our scourge struck, they pleaded, “We were wrongdoers.
And when Our scourge fell upon them their only cry was: ´We are indeed transgressors.´
Then their only saying when Our punishment came to them was: "We were wicked!"
They could say nothing — when Our punishment came to them — but that, "We were indeed in the wrong!"
Then nothing came out from their mouths when Our torment came upon them but they said, 'we were unjust people.'
Their utterance when our retribution came to them was: "Indeed, we have been transgressors."
And when Our Might fell upon them they only said: 'We have indeed been harmdoers.
Yet their cry, when Our punishment came to them, was nothing but that they said: Surely we were wrongdoers
So their call/prayer when/if Our might/power came to them was not except that they said: "We were unjust/oppressive ."
The punishment came so fast upon them that they had only time to say: "How unjust we were."
Therefore they uttered nothing when Our punishment came to them, except that they said, "Indeed we were the unjust."
So when our punishment came upon them, their cry was nothing but they said, `We were indeed wrongdoers !
And when Our torment came upon them, their cry was nothing (else) but they began to say: ‘No doubt we were the wrongdoers.
So that their cry meant nothing when Our punishment came upon them except that they (apologisingly) said, `Truly we were wrong-doing people.
No cry did they utter when Our Torment came upon them but this: "Verily, we were Zalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.)"
and they but cried, when Our might came upon there, 'We were evildoers.'
And their supplication, when our punishment came upon them, was no other than that they said, verily we have been unjust
was only to say, 'Verily, we were unjust!
And what was their cry when our wrath reached them, but to say, "Verily, we have been impious."
And when Our scourge fell upon them, their only cry was: ‘We have indeed been wrongdoers.‘
They had no supplication, when Our fury came upon them, other than that they said, “We indeed were those who wronged their own souls.”
Their exclamation, when Our retribution came upon them, was nothing but that they said: "Surely, we have voluntarily and consciously abandoned the Full Knowledge of the Truth in favour of our whims.”
Then their only call, when Our adversity reached them, was to say: we were wrongdoers.
But their only cry when Our chastisement came upon them was, “We were indeed unjust.”
When Our punishment overtook them, they only said, “We were certainly sinners.”
Once Our might came to them, their appeal was merely to say: "We have been such wrongdoers!"
So, their call when Our adversity came to them was only that they said, " Surely we were oppressors!"
And when Our punishment fell upon them, all they could say was: “We have indeed been wrongdoers.â€
And never was their cry, when Our vengeance came to them, anything but "We were wrong!"
When Our torment came to them, their exclamation was no other than, “We were indeed wrongdoers.”
So their cry, when Our punishment came unto them, was not save that theysaid: ' Verily we were unjust'
When our anger was displayed in action, nothing did they say with pining regrets and vain repentance but: "we were wrongful of actions"
And when Our punishment came to them, their cry was nothing except that they said, "We were certainly unjust."
And their cry, when Our violence came upon them, was only that they said, 'Indeed, we were wrongdoers.'
When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: "Indeed we did wrong."
Then not was their plea when came to them Our punishment except that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers.
