awa-amina ahlu l-qurā an yatiyahum basunā ḍuḥan wahum yalʿabūn
Or felt secure (the) people (of) the cities that comes to them Our punishment (in) daylight while they (were) playing?
Why, can the people of any community ever feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them in broad daylight, while they are engaged in (worldly] play
Or are the people of the townships then secure from the coming of Our wrath upon them in the daytime while they play
Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about (care-free)
Or did they feel secure that Our punishment would not come upon them by day while they were at play?
Can the people of any community ever feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them in broad daylight while they are at play?
Or, do they feel secure against the coming of Our punishment upon them in the forenoon while they are at play
What! do the people of the towns feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they play
Or were the people of the towns safe when Our might approaches them in the forenoon while they play?
Or do the people of the towns feel safe from Our might´s striking them in broad daylight while they are playing around?
Or, did the people of the towns feel secure from Our punishment coming to them by daylight while they play?
Or did the people of the towns feel secure from Our Might coming upon them in broad daylight, while they were playing
Are the townsfolk carefree that Our punishment won’t come to them in the daytime while they play?
Do the people of the towns feel secure that Our might will not come upon them by day, while they play
And, or did, feel secure, the people of the towns, that comes to them Our Punishment in the forenoon while they play
Or do the people of these towns feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in broad daylight while they are playing around
Or do the population of the towns feel secure that Our violence will not come up to them in the forenoon while they are playing
or that which could seize them during their busy hours of the day
Or do the people of the towns feel themselves immune from Our punishment that may befall them in broad daylight while they are at play
Or do the people of townships feel secure from the coming of Our Requital upon them in the daytime while they play
Or did the people of the town feel so secure that Our wrath would not land on them in broad daylight while they were engaged in their pastimes
Or else did they feel safe against the coming of Our Punishment, in open (broad) daylight while they played about
Or did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they were at play
Or are the people of the towns sure that Our punishment will not come to them during the late morning while they are playin
Do the people of these towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come upon them by day, while they are at play
Or, are the people of the township secure that Our wrath would not come upon them by daylight while they are disporting themselves
Or, are the people of the towns so unafraid that (even when) Our retribution comes upon them in the hours of the morning they remain engrossed in sport and play
Or do the people of the cities feel secure against Our violent force coming down on them in the day while they are playing games?
Or did the peoples of the townships feel secure that Our mighty punishment would not come upon them in the daytime while they have indulged in worldly play
Do the people of the towns feel secure from Our punishment overtaking them at midday while they are playing around
Were the people of these cities secure that Our Wrath would not come on them in the morning whilst they played carefree
Or do people of the towns feel safe that Our punishment will not come to them during daytime while they play?
Or did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played
Or were they confident that Our punishment wouldn’t come as they played at mid-morning
Or, do the people of those towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come to them by daylight while they are at play
Or are the people of the towns sure that Our punishment will not come to them during the late morning while they are playing?
Or, did they feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they played
Or do the people of the towns not fear that Our torment might come upon them in daylight while they are playing?
Did the people of today's communities guarantee that our retribution will not come to them in the daytime while they play?
Or do the inhabitants of the villages feel secure from Our Might coming to them in the midmorning while they play
Or, are the people of the towns secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they play
Or did the villages'/urban cities' people trust that Our might/power comes to them at sunrise/daybreak/forenoon and (while) they are playing/amusing
How can they be sure that My punishment will not be sent upon them during the day while they are engaged in their daily activities
Or do the people of the dwellings not fear that Our wrath may come upon them during the day, while they are playing
And are the people of these towns secure from the coming of Our punishment upon them in the early part of the forenoon while they play
Or are the residents of the towns free of this fear that Our torment may seize them (again) in the forenoon when they are at play (completely lost in the worldly pleasures)
And do the people of these townships feel secure against the coming of Our punishment upon them in the early part of the forenoon while they are engaged in futile and frivolous (worldly) pursuits
Or, did the people of the towns then feel secure against the coming of Our Punishment in the forenoon while they play
Do the people of the cities feel secure Our might shall not come upon them in daylight while they are playing
And are the people of these towns secure from the coming of Our punishment upon them in the early part of the forenoon while they play
were the people of these cities secure that our violence would not come on them in the morning whilst they played
Were the people of those cities secure that our wrath would not light on them in broad day, while they were disporting themselves
Or were the people of those cities secure from Our power when it overtook them in the morning at their play
Or do the people of the townships feel safe that Our fury might come upon them at daytime while they are playing?
Or did the people of those towns then feel secure against the coming of Our retribution in the forenoon while they play?
Or are then the inhabitants of the towns safe from Our distress reaching them in the morning whilst they play?
Did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they entertained themselves?
And do the fellows of the towns really feel secure that Our chastisement will not come upon them by day while they are playing?
Or do the people of the towns feel safe from Our night's striking them in broad daylight while they are playing around?
Or did the inhabitants of the villages secure that Our adversity would be coming upon them at forenoon, while they were playing?
Or do the people of these cities feel secure that Our might would not strike them in broad daylight when they are playing around?
Or did the people of those cities feel secure from Our wrath coming to them in the morning while they were at play?
What! do the people of the towns feel secure from Our punishment coming upon them in daylight while they are playing ?
Or are the town's folk certain in their minds they are secure against Our wrath which may speak thunder and be displayed in action in broad day light while conducting themselves in an unprofitable or an evil way
Or are the people of the cities secure from the distress that could come from Us on them in the day time while they are playing?
Or are the people of the towns secure from Our violence coming upon them in the forenoon (Mid-morning to noon) while they play?
Or else did they feel secure against its coming in broad daylight while they played about (care-free)
Or felt secure (the) people (of) the cities that comes to them Our punishment (in) daylight while they (were) playing
