Miim-Ya-Dal
To be shaken, moved, agitated, spread, give food. It was/became in a state of motion or commotion. Was/Became agitated: in a state or violent motion or commotion; or violently agitated. Turn/Twist about. Become contorted and convulsed. Quivered, trembled. Confound, perplex, amazed. Inclining from side to side. Confer bestow benefit/s or favor/s.
Ma-idatan
A table with food upon it. From m-y-d "it was in a state of motion" as the table moved about from what was on it. Or m-y-d "he brought wheat or food" since food is brought on it. Or m-y-d "he gave" because what is this called given by the owner to the people [who are to eat]. Table spread, table with food upon it, food. Knowledge, because knowledge is the spiritual food.

16:15
وَأَلْقَى فِي الأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَارا ً وَسُبُلا ً لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
Wa 'Alqá Fī Al-'ArĐi Rawāsiya 'An Tamīda Bikum Wa 'Anhārāan Wa Subulāan Lla`allakum Tahtadūna
And He has cast onto the earth stabilizers so that it would not tumble with you, and rivers, and paths, perhaps you will be guided.
21:31
وَجَعَلْنَا فِي الأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجا ً سُبُلا ً لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ
Wa Ja`alnā Fī Al-'ArĐi Rawāsiya 'An Tamīda Bihim Wa Ja`alnā Fīhā Fijājāan Subulāan La`allahum Yahtadūna
And We made on the earth stabilizers so that it would not tumble with you, and We made in it wide paths that they may be guided.
31:10
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَد ٍ تَرَوْنَهَا وَأَلْقَى فِي الأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّة ٍ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْج ٍ كَرِيم ٍ
Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Bighayri `Amadin Tarawnahā Wa 'Alqá Fī Al-'ArĐi Rawāsiya 'An Tamīda Bikum Wa Baththa Fīhā Min Kulli Dābbatin Wa 'Anzalnā Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fa'anbatnā Fīhā Min Kulli Zawjin Karīmin
He created the sky without pillars that you can see. And He cast onto the earth stabilizers so that it would not tumble with you, and He spread on it all kinds of creatures. And We sent down water from the sky, thus We caused to grow all kinds of good plants.

إِذْ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَنْ يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَة ً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنْ كُنتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
'Idh Qāla Al-Ĥawārīyūna Yā `Īsá Abna Maryama Hal Yastaţī`u Rabbuka 'An Yunazzila `Alaynā Mā'idatan Mina As-Samā'i Qāla Attaqū Allāha 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna
And the disciples said: "O Jesus, son of Mary, can your Lord send down for us a feast from the heaven?" He said: "Be aware of God if you are believers."
5:114
قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَة ً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدا ً لِأوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَة ً مِنْكَ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيرُ الرَّازِقِينَ
Qāla `Īsá Abnu Maryama Al-Lahumma Rabbanā 'Anzil `Alaynā Mā'idatan Mina As-Samā'i Takūnu Lanā `Īdāan Li'wwalinā Wa 'Ākhirinā Wa 'Āyatan Minka Wa Arzuqnā Wa 'Anta Khayru Ar-Rāziqīna
Jesus, son of Mary, said: "Our god, our Lord, send down to us a feast from the heaven, that it becomes a joy to us from the first to the last, and a sign from You, and provide for us, you are the best provider."
