| Arabic | | وَرَاوَدَتْهُ الَّتِي هُوَ فِي بَيْتِهَا عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَغَلَّقَتِ الْأَبْوَابَ وَقَالَتْ هَيْتَ لَكَ قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ رَبِّي أَحْسَنَ مَثْوَايَ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُون | |

And sought to seduce him | warāwadathu | وَرَاوَدَتْهُ | ر و د | |
she who, | allatī | الَّتِي | ا ل ل ت ى | |
her house | baytihā | بَيْتِهَا | ب ى ت | |
his self. | nafsihi | نَفْسِهِ | ن ف س | |
And she closed | waghallaqati | وَغَلَّقَتِ | غ ل ق | |
the doors | l-abwāba | الْأَبْوَابَ | ب و ب | |
and she said, | waqālat | وَقَالَتْ | ق و ل | |
"I seek refuge in | maʿādha | مَعَاذَ | ع و ذ | |
Indeed, he | innahu | إِنَّهُ | ا ن ن | |
(is) my lord | rabbī | رَبِّي | ر ب ب | |
(who has) made good | aḥsana | أَحْسَنَ | ح س ن | |
my stay. | mathwāya | مَثْوَايَ | ث و ى | |
Indeed, | innahu | إِنَّهُ | ا ن ن | |
will succeed | yuf'liḥu | يُفْلِحُ | ف ل ح | |
the wrongdoers." | l-ẓālimūna | الظَّالِمُونَ | ظ ل م | |
