| Arabic | | وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَّا تَبِعُوا قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِين |  |

| (of) their direction of prayer. | qib'latahum | قِبْلَتَهُمْ | ق ب ل | |
| some of them | baʿḍuhum | بَعْضُهُمْ | ب ع ض | |
| (are) followers | bitābiʿin | بِتَابِعٍ | ت ب ع | |
| (of the) direction of prayer | qib'lata | قِبْلَةَ | ق ب ل | |
| (of each) other. | baʿḍin | بَعْضٍ | ب ع ض | |
| And if | wala-ini | وَلَئِنِ | ل ا ن | |
| you followed | ittabaʿta | اتَّبَعْتَ | ت ب ع | |

| came to you | jāaka | جَاءَكَ | ج ى ا | |
| the knowledge, | l-ʿil'mi | الْعِلْمِ | ع ل م | |
| indeed, you | innaka | إِنَّكَ | ا ن ن | |
| (would) then | idhan | إِذًا | ا ذ ا | |
| (be) surely among | lamina | لَمِنَ | م ن | |
| the wrongdoers. | l-ẓālimīna | الظَّالِمِينَ | ظ ل م | |
