| Arabic | | وَإِذَا تَوَلَّىٰ سَعَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ الْحَرْثَ وَالنَّسْلَ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَسَاد |  |

| And when | | wa-idhā | | وَإِذَا | | ا ذ ا | |
| he turns away | | tawallā | | تَوَلَّى | | و ل ى | |
| the earth | | l-arḍi | | الْأَرْضِ | | ا ر ض | |
| to spread corruption | | liyuf'sida | | لِيُفْسِدَ | | ف س د | |
| and destroys | | wayuh'lika | | وَيُهْلِكَ | | ه ل ك | |
| the crops | | l-ḥartha | | الْحَرْثَ | | ح ر ث | |
| and progeny. | | wal-nasla | | وَالنَّسْلَ | | ن س ل | |
| And Allah | | wal-lahu | | وَاللَّهُ | | ا ل ه | |
| [the] corruption. | | l-fasāda | | الْفَسَادَ | | ف س د | |
