| Arabic | | قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِيَ إِنَّ الْبَقَرَ تَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّا إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُون |  |

| [the] cows | l-baqara | الْبَقَرَ | ب ق ر | |
| look alike | tashābaha | تَشَابَهَ | ش ب ه | |
| to us. | ʿalaynā | عَلَيْنَا | ع ل ى | |
| And indeed we, | wa-innā | وَإِنَّا | ا ن ن | |
| (will) surely be those who are guided." | lamuh'tadūna | لَمُهْتَدُونَ | ه د ى | |
