| Arabic | | وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُون |  |

| And surely you will find them | | walatajidannahum | | وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ | | و ج د | |
| (the) most greedy | | aḥraṣa | | أَحْرَصَ | | ح ر ص | |
| (of) [the] mankind | | l-nāsi | | النَّاسِ | | ن و س | |
| and (greedier) than | | wamina | | وَمِنَ | | م ن | |
| those who | | alladhīna | | الَّذِينَ | | ا ل ل ذ ى | |
| associate[d] partners (with Allah). | | ashrakū | | أَشْرَكُوا | | ش ر ك | |
| (each) one of them | | aḥaduhum | | أَحَدُهُمْ | | ا ح د | |
| he could be granted a life | | yuʿammaru | | يُعَمَّرُ | | ع م ر | |
| (of) a thousand | | alfa | | أَلْفَ | | ا ل ف | |
| year(s). | | sanatin | | سَنَةٍ | | س ن و | |
| (will) remove him | | bimuzaḥziḥihi | | بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ | | ز ح ز ح | |
| the punishment | | l-ʿadhābi | | الْعَذَابِ | | ع ذ ب | |
| he should be granted life. | | yuʿammara | | يُعَمَّرَ | | ع م ر | |
| And Allah | | wal-lahu | | وَاللَّهُ | | ا ل ه | |
| (is) All-Seer | | baṣīrun | | بَصِيرٌ | | ب ص ر | |
| they do. | | yaʿmalūna | | يَعْمَلُونَ | | ع م ل | |
