Arabic		وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُون
Transliteration		Walaqad akhathnahum bialAAathabi fama istakanoo lirabbihim wama yatadarraAAoona
Transliteration-2		walaqad akhadhnāhum bil-ʿadhābi famā is'takānū lirabbihim wamā yataḍarraʿūn

Muhammad Asad		And, indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselve
