| Arabic | | وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُون |  |

| the good | l-khayri | الْخَيْرِ | خ ى ر | |
| [and] enjoining | wayamurūna | وَيَأْمُرُونَ | ا م ر | |
| the right, | bil-maʿrūfi | بِالْمَعْرُوفِ | ع ر ف | |
| and forbidding | wayanhawna | وَيَنْهَوْنَ | ن ه ى | |
| the wrong, | l-munkari | الْمُنْكَرِ | ن ك ر | |
| and those - | wa-ulāika | وَأُولَئِكَ | ا و ل ا ء | |
| (are) the successful ones. | l-muf'liḥūna | الْمُفْلِحُونَ | ف ل ح | |
