| And they say, | | waqālū | | وَقَالُوا | | ق و ل | |
| "Is (it) when | | a-idhā | | أَءِذَا | | ا ذ ا | |
| we are lost | | ḍalalnā | | ضَلَلْنَا | | ض ل ل | |
| the earth, | | l-arḍi | | الْأَرْضِ | | ا ر ض | |
| will we | | a-innā | | أَءِنَّا | | ا ن ن | |
| certainly be in | | lafī | | لَفِي | | ف ى | |
| a creation | | khalqin | | خَلْقٍ | | خ ل ق | |
| in (the) meeting | | biliqāi | | بِلِقَاءِ | | ل ق ى | |
| (of) their Lord | | rabbihim | | رَبِّهِمْ | | ر ب ب | |
| (are) disbelievers. | | kāfirūna | | كَافِرُونَ | | ك ف ر | |
