55:1 | | The Beneficent. |
55:2 | | He taught the Quran, |
55:3 | | He created man, |
55:4 | | He taught him to express (by action, speech, writing etc). |
55:5 | | The sun and the moon (function) according to a calculation. |
55:6 | | And the herbs and the trees bow down (to Him). |
55:7 | | And the sky, He has raised it, and He has set the balance |
55:8 | | (by ordering) that: Do not exceed (the limits) in the balance |
55:9 | | and establish the balance in a just manner and do not reduce the balance. |
55:10 | | And the earth He has layed down for the cattle (living beings). |
55:11 | | Therein are fruits and palm trees (with) sheathed (dates) |
55:12 | | and grains with husk and the scented herb. |
55:13 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:14 | | He created man from mud, like (that used in) pottery. |
55:15 | | And He created the jinn from (the heat wave) let free from fire. |
55:16 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:17 | | Fosterer of the two places/times of sun rise and Fosterer of the two places/times of sun set (at the summer and winter solstice). |
55:18 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:19 | | He let free the two seas (which) meet |
55:20 | | (but) between them is a barrier which they do not pass. |
55:21 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:22 | | There come out from both of them pearls and corals. |
55:23 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:24 | | And His are the ships, with elevated sails, (sailing) in the sea, like mountains. |
55:25 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:26 | | All who are on it will perish |
55:27 | | and there will remain the Face (Person) of your Fosterer, Possessor of glory and honour. |
55:28 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:29 | | Whoever is in the skies and the earth asks from Him, everyday (each moment) He is in a state (of intending something or implementing some affair). |
55:30 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:31 | | We will free (Ourselves) for you, O you two weighty (things). |
55:32 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:33 | | O assembly of jinn and mankind! if you are able to pass through the boundaries (or spheres) of the skies and the earth, then pass through, you will not pass through except with authority. |
55:34 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:35 | | Flames of fire (without smoke) and hot smoke (without flames) will be sent on you both, then you will not be able to defend. |
55:36 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:37 | | So when the sky splits and becomes red like red hide. |
55:38 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:39 | | So on that day neither man nor jinn will be questioned about his sin. |
55:40 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:41 | | The criminals will be recognised by their marks, so they will be caught by the forelocks and feet. |
55:42 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:43 | | This is hell which the criminals denied, |
55:44 | | they will go round between it and between hot boiling water. |
55:45 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:46 | | And for him who feared to stand before his Fosterer are two gardens. |
55:47 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:48 | | Having in them various kinds. |
55:49 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:50 | | In both of them are flowing springs. |
55:51 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:52 | | In both of them every (kind) of fruit will be in two pairs. |
55:53 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:54 | | Reclining on spreadings (like bed sheets, carpets etc.) the inner linings of which will be of silk brocade, and the fruits of the two gardens will be near. |
55:55 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:56 | | In both of them will be females who restrain their gaze, whom neither man nor jinn touched before them. |
55:57 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:58 | | As if they were rubies and corals. |
55:59 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:60 | | Is the reward of good (something) other than good? |
55:61 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:62 | | And besides these two, are two more gardens. |
55:63 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:64 | | Both, dark green in colour. |
55:65 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny. |
55:66 | | In both of them are two springs gushing forth. |
55:67 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:68 | | In both of them are fruits and date palms and pomegranates. |
55:69 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:70 | | In both of them are good and beautiful ones. |
55:71 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:72 | | Fair ones, confined in pavilions. |
55:73 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:74 | | Whom neither man nor jinn touched before them. |
55:75 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:76 | | Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. |
55:77 | | So which of the bounties of your Fosterer will you both deny? |
55:78 | | Blessed is the name of your Fosterer, Possessor of glory and honour. |
