| 55:1 | | Rahman (the possessor of all of the qualities referenced by the Beautiful Names), |
| 55:2 | | Taught the Quran (formed the qualities pertaining to the dimension of Names). |
| 55:3 | | Created man, |
| 55:4 | | And taught him eloquence (manifested the Names on man) (as Hadhrat Ali says, “Man became a talking Quran.”); |
| 55:5 | | The Sun (comprehension) and the Moon (emotion – feeling) are with a measure (in levels). |
| 55:6 | | The star (ideas) and the tree (the body) are in prostration (in a state of nonexistence in the sight of the Names). |
| 55:7 | | He has raised the heaven (consciousness; from the level of the self-accusing self [nafs-i lawwama] to the level of the pleasing self [nafs-i mardhiya]) and established a balance (the ability to live in balance of unity and multiplicity). |
| 55:8 | | That you do not do injustice to that balance (so that you do not go to extreme in one and thus be deprived of the other). |
| 55:9 | | Evaluate justly (according to the laws of Uluhiyyah) and do not become losers by failing to live by that balance! |
| 55:10 | | And upon the earth (the body) He formed the creatures (the microuniverse)! |
| 55:11 | | Therein (on earth) is a fruit (man), like palm trees (brain) full of sheathed clusters (ready and receptive)! |
| 55:12 | | And sprouted grains (blossoming observations of the reality) and pleasantly scented plants (behaviors pertaining to the reality of man). |
| 55:13 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:14 | | He created man (the body) from processed dry clay (the formation of the cellular structure). |
| 55:15 | | And He created the jann (the invisible beings; the jinn) from a smokeless flame of fire (radiation, radiant energy, electromagnetic wave body). |
| 55:16 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:17 | | He is the Rabb of the two easts (the world and the eternal life after death) and the Rabb of the two wests (the world and the dimension of the grave). |
| 55:18 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:19 | | He let loose the two seas (angelic and animalistic tendencies; the universal consciousness and the individual consciousness); they meet together. |
| 55:20 | | Yet between them is a barrier; which they do not transgress (both fulfill their own functions within their own field). |
| 55:21 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:22 | | From them comes forth the pearl and the coral (various qualities). |
| 55:23 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:24 | | To Him belong the constructed ships (bodies) that sail like mountains (constructed identities – ego) in the sea (the knowledge of the reality)! |
| 55:25 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:26 | | Everyone on the earth (corporeal life) is transitory (every sense of self - identity or individual consciousness will taste death). |
| 55:27 | | Baqi (eternal, without being subject to the concept of time) is the face (the absolute reality) of your Rabb (the meanings of the Names comprising your essence), the Dhul-Jalali Wal-Ikram |
| 55:28 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:29 | | Everything in the heavens and the earth asks from Him; at every instance HU (the Absolute Essence of Existence) manifests Himself in yet another way! |
| 55:30 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:31 | | Soon We shall attend to you (for account), O guilt laden community of man and jinn! |
| 55:32 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:33 | | O communities of jinn and man, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass (live without a body)! But you cannot pass unless you possess the power (the manifestation of Allah’s attribute of Power [Qadir] on you). |
| 55:34 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:35 | | There will be sent upon (both of) you a flame of fire and smoke (ambiguity and confusion in your consciousness), and you will not be successful! |
| 55:36 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:37 | | And when (during death) the heaven (the identity; ego) is split asunder and (the reality) becomes (undeniably clear and the ego-self disappears) burnt oil colored, like a rose (the reality is observed)! |
| 55:38 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:39 | | At that time none among men or jinn will be asked about his offences (they will begin to live the natural consequences of their deeds)! |
| 55:40 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:41 | | The guilty will be recognized by their faces (the reflection of their disposition) and seized by their foreheads and feet. |
| 55:42 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:43 | | This is the Hell the guilty ones denied! |
| 55:44 | | They will go around between it and boiling water (the burning value judgments brought by their conditionings). |
| 55:45 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:46 | | There are two Paradises for the one who fears the position of His Rabb (action and sensation – Paradises of meaning). |
| 55:47 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:48 | | With various branches (life qualities) spread out (in both Paradises). |
| 55:49 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:50 | | In both of them are two springs, flowing! |
| 55:51 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:52 | | In both (of those Paradises) are fruits (gnosis) of both kinds (extrinsic and intrinsic)! |
| 55:53 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:54 | | They will rest upon beds whose linings are of silk brocade... The fruits of both Paradises will be so easy to pick! |
| 55:55 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:56 | | There are those whose glances are directed only to their partners, untouched by any man or jinn before them (no impurities caused by identity/ego-based ideas and emotions)! |
| 55:57 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:58 | | As if they are rubies or coral. |
| 55:59 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:60 | | Is not good the reward for good (servitude done through the observation of the Truth)? |
| 55:61 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:62 | | And besides these two Paradises are two more Paradises. |
| 55:63 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:64 | | Both of them ever green! |
| 55:65 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:66 | | In both of them are two springs (reflections of the Rahman), constantly spouting! |
| 55:67 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:68 | | In both of them are fruits and palm trees (symbolic of consciousness manifesting the attributes of the Truth) and pomegranates (symbolic of the single consciousness administering the life of multiple forms)! |
| 55:69 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:70 | | In (those Paradises) are the most magnificent, the most beautiful. |
| 55:71 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:72 | | Houris reserved only for their partners (partners – bodies that are equipped and capacitated to fulfill all of the desires of the forms of consciousness that manifest the attributes of the Truth. Please see 13:35, 47:15)! |
| 55:73 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:74 | | Untouched by no man or jinn before them (no impurities caused by identity/ego-based ideas and emotions)! |
| 55:75 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
| 55:76 | | They rest upon green cushions and beautifully embroidered fine carpets. |
| 55:77 | | So, which of the favors of your Rabb (the Names comprising your essence – your consciousness and body) will you deny? |
