| | Musharraf Hussain rendition of Surah The Beneficent, The Mercy Giving, The Merciful(ar-Rahman) --- |
---|
55:1 | | The Most Kind |
55:2 | | taught the beloved Messenger the Majestic Quran. |
55:3 | | He created human beings |
55:4 | | and taught them the art of communication. |
55:5 | | The sun and the moon orbit in set paths, |
55:6 | | plants and trees bow before Him. |
55:7 | | He raised the sky and finely balanced everything, |
55:8 | | so don’t disturb the fine balance. |
55:9 | | Give due weight and measure, don’t short change one another |
55:10 | | He created the Earth for living creatures, |
55:11 | | fruits and date trees with sheathed bunches, |
55:12 | | husked grains and fragrant flowers. |
55:13 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:14 | | He created human beings from oven-baked clay, |
55:15 | | and created jinn from smokeless flame. |
55:16 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:17 | | He is the Lord of two risings and settings. |
55:18 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny |
55:19 | | He combined the seawater and the freshwater, |
55:20 | | there’s an invisible barrier between them which stops them mixing. |
55:21 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:22 | | Pearls large and small come from there. |
55:23 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:24 | | The ships sail on the seas looming high like mountains. |
55:25 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny |
55:26 | | All things on Earth will perish; |
55:27 | | all that will remain is your Lord, the Majestic and the Giver of honour. |
55:28 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:29 | | All those in the Heavens and the Earth depend on Him; every day He appears in wondrous ways |
55:30 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:31 | | We’ll give you attention, humans and jinn |
55:32 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny |
55:33 | | Humans and jinn! If you have the capability of passing beyond the regions of Heaven and the Earth then do so; but, you won’t be able to pass without authority. |
55:34 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:35 | | Flames of fire will lash at you, cover you with smoke, and leave you defenceless. |
55:36 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny |
55:37 | | When the sky splits up it will be bright red, like red leather. |
55:38 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:39 | | That Day neither human nor jinn will be asked about their sins. |
55:40 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:41 | | The sinners will be recognised by the marks on their faces, and they shall be grabbed by their forelocks and feet. |
55:42 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:43 | | This is Hell that the sinners denied. |
55:44 | | Here they will wander aimlessly between Hell and cauldrons of boiling water. |
55:45 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny |
55:46 | | The person who feared standing before his Lord will have two gardens. |
55:47 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:48 | | Both with thick foliage. |
55:49 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:50 | | Both with two flowing fountains. |
55:51 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:52 | | Both with fruits of two kinds. |
55:53 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:54 | | Sitting relaxed on sofas lined with brocade, with their low-hanging fruit gardens. |
55:55 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:56 | | In them will be ladies with lowered gazes who no man or jinn would have touched. |
55:57 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:58 | | Like glamorous rubies and pearls. |
55:59 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:60 | | What’s the reward for kindness except kindness? |
55:61 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny |
55:62 | | Beside these there are two other gardens. |
55:63 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:64 | | Both with deep green foliage. |
55:65 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:66 | | Both have two gushing fountains. |
55:67 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:68 | | Both gardens will have plenty of fruit dates and pomegranates. |
55:69 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:70 | | In them will be ladies with charming character and beauty. |
55:71 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:72 | | With beautiful eyes living in tall tents. |
55:73 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:74 | | Never touched before by a human or a jinn. |
55:75 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:76 | | Sitting relaxed on soft cushions and fine carpets. |
55:77 | | So which favours of your Lord will you deny? |
55:78 | | Blessed is the name of your Lord, Most Majestic and Giver of Honours |
