But when she had given birth to the child, she said: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I have given birth to a female" - the while God had been fully aware of what she would give birth to, and [fully aware] that no male child [she might have hoped for] could ever have been like this female - "and I have named her Mary. And, verily, I seek Thy protection for her and her offspring against Satan, the accursed."

When she delivered, she said, “My Lord! I have given birth to a girl,”—and Allah fully knew what she had delivered—“and the male is not like the female. I have named her Mary, and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring from Satan, the accursed.”

When she gave birth, she said, "Lord, I have delivered a female." God knows well what she delivered--that a male is not like a female. "I have named her Mary. I seek your protection for her and her children, from the accursed Satan."

falammā waḍaʿathā qālat rabbi innī waḍaʿtuhā unthā wal-lahu aʿlamu bimā waḍaʿat walaysa l-dhakaru kal-unthā wa-innī sammaytuhā maryama wa-innī uʿīdhuhā bika wadhurriyyatahā mina l-shayṭāni l-rajīm

Then when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, indeed I [I] (have) delivered [her] a female." And Allah knows better [of] what she delivered, and is not the male like the female. "And that I [I] (have) named her Maryam and that I [I] seek refuge for her in You and her offspring from the Shaitaan the rejected."

But when she had given birth to the child, she said: "O my Sustainer! When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and Allah knew best what she brought forth- "And no wise is the male Like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected."

When she delivered, she said, “My Lord! I have given birth to a girl,”—and Allah fully knew what she had delivered—“and the male is not like the female. I have named her Mary, and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring from Satan, the accursed.”

When she gave birth, she said, "Lord, I have delivered a female." God knows well what she delivered--that a male is not like a female. "I have named her Mary. I seek your protection for her and her children, from the accursed Satan."

When she gave birth, she said, My Lord, I have given birth to a girlGod knew very well what she had given birth to: a male is not like a femaleI have named her Mary and placed her and her children in Your protection from the rejected Satan

So when she brought forth, she said: My Lord! Surely I have brought it forth a female-- and Allah knew best what she brought forth-- and the male is not like the female, and I have named it Marium, and I commend her and her offspring into Thy protection from the accursed Shaitan

Then, when she brought forth she said: My Lord! Truly, I brought her forth, a female. And God is greater in knowledge of what she brought forth. And the male is not like the female. And, truly, I named her Mary. And, truly, I commend her to Thy protection and her offspring from the accursed Satan.

When she gave birth, she said: "My Lord, I have given birth to a daughter."-(God was quite Aware of what she had given birth to, for a male is not like a female)-"I have named her Mary, and ask You to protect her and her offspring ´from Satan the Outcast."

When she delivered her (Mary), she said: “My Lord! I have delivered a female (instead of male).” Allah knew better what she delivered: “The male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her with You and her offspring from Satan, the rejected.”

And when she bore her, she said, “My Lord, I have borne a female,” and God knows best what she bore, and the male is not like the female, “and I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in Thee, and for her progeny, from Satan the outcast.

When she delivered her, she said, “My Lord, I have delivered a female.” And God knew what she had delivered, “And the male isn’t like the female. I have named her Mary, and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring from Satan, the outcast.”

And when she delivered her, she said, 'My Lord, I have delivered a female,' and God was well aware of what she has delivered, 'and the male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and have commended her and her descendants to Your protection, from Satan the outcast.'

Then when she delivered that (what was in her womb) she said: “My Nourisher-Sustainer! Certainly I delivered that (as) a female (child),” — and Allah (is always) a Better Knower about what she delivered, and the male (child she had in her mind) would not have (fulfilled the role) the way the female (fulfilled); “and certainly I, I have given her the name, Maryam, and certainly I put her to protection, to You (O Allah,) and (also) her offspring against (the evil effects of) Satan, the outcast.”

When she gave birth to a girl instead of a boy, she said: "My Lord! I have given birth to a girl," - Allah knew very well what she had delivered - "and that the male is not like the female, I have named her Mary and I seek Your protection for her and her children from the mischief of Satan, the accursed."

So, as soon as she brought her forth, (i.e. gave birth to her) she said, "Lord! Surely I have brought her forth, a female." And Allah knows best what she brought forth, and the male is not as the female. "And surely I have named her Maryam. (Mary) And surely I take refuge with You for her and her offspring from the outcast Ash- shaytan." (The all vicious, i.e., the Devil

When the baby was born she said, "Lord, it is a female." God knew this. Male and female are not alike. "I have named her Mary. I pray that You will keep her and her offspring safe from Satan, the condemned one."

So, when she delivered her, she said: .O my Lord, I have delivered her, a female child.__And Allah knew better what she had delivered, and the male was not like the female ___. I have named her Maryam, and I place her and her progeny under Your shelter against Satan, the rejected

When she was delivered she said, "My Lord! I am delivered of a female." Allah knew best what she delivered; the male is not the same as the female. (The male she had prayed for could have not been like the outstanding daughter she was granted). "I have named her Mary, I request Your protection for her and for her descendants from the rejected Satan." (Allah knew that this female would have a role, which no male could have, in breaking the shackles of asceticism. As a custom, nuns were allowed to marry only monks during those times)

When she delivered, she said, "My Lord, I gave birth to a female." Allah was well aware of what she had delivered. The male is not like a female; and (Mary said), "I have named her Mary. I seek Your protection for her and her progeny from the (evil of the) accursed Shaitan."

When she (the wife of Imran) was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! I have delivered a female child— And Allah knew best what she brought forth— And in no way is the male like the female. I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I bring her and her offspring to Your protection from the Satan, the Rejected."

But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah ]."

So when she delivered she said: "My Lord, I have delivered a female," and God is fully aware of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her and her progeny with You from the outcast devil."

but when she gave birth, she said, ‘My Lord! I have given birth to a girl’- God knew best what she had given birth to: the male is not like the female- ‘ I name her Mary and I commend her and her offspring to Your protection from the rejected Satan.’

Then when she brought her forth, she said: my Lord verily have brought forth a female - and Allah knew best that which she had brought forth, - and the male is not as the female, and verily have named her Maryam, and verily seek refuge for her and her progeny with Thee from the Satan the accursed

And when she had given birth to the child, she said: "O Lord, I have delivered but a girl." -- But God knew better what she had delivered: A boy could not be as that girl was. "I have named her Mary," (she said), "and I give her into Your keeping. Preserve her and her children from Satan the ostracized."

When she gave birth, she said, ´My Lord! I have given birth to a girl´ — and Allah knew very well what she had given birth to, male and female are not the same — ´and I have named her Maryam and placed her and her children in Your safekeeping from the accursed Shaytan.´

When she was delivered of it she said: "My Lord, I have given birth to a female." – God knew best of what she was delivered, (so she did not need to be sorry, because) the male child (she expected) could not be the same as (the) female child (whom We bestowed on her and would honor with a great favor). – I have named her Mary and commend her and her offspring to You for protection from Satan eternally rejected from God’s Mercy."

And when she bore her, she said, ‘My Lord, I have borne a female [child]’ —and Allah knew better what she had borne— ‘and the female is not like the male. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Your care against [the evil of] the outcast Satan.’

And when she brought it forth she said, "Verily, I have brought forth a female" - Allah knew best what she brought forth; and a male is not like a female - "I have called her Mary, and I seek a refuge in Thee  for her and for her seed from

So, when she gave birth to it, she said: “God I gave birth to a girl,” while God knew better what she gave birth to, and a boy is not like a girl, “and I named her Mary and I seek Your protection for her and her children from the expelled Satan.”

Once she delivered she said, “O my Lord, behold, I have delivered a female child.” But God knew even more about what she delivered. And the male is not the same as the female. “I have named her Mary, and I commit her and her offspring to Your protection from Satan, the Rejected.

Once she had given birth to her, she complained, “Lord, I gave birth to a girl” – Allah knew well what she had given birth to, the male is not like the female – then she added, “I have named her Maryam, and I place her and her offspring in Your protection from the accursed Satan.

But when she gave birth to a female child, she said: ´O Lord! I have given birth to a female´ - and Allah knew full well what she had given birth to - ´and a female is not the same as a male. I have named her Mary and commit her and her offspring to You for protection from Satan, the accursed.´

So when she had delivered she said: "My Lord, I have delivered a female," and God is fully aware of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her and her progeny with You from the outcast devil."

And when she delivered a female child, she exclaimed, "It's a female that I have delivered, my Lord!" — And Allah knew what she had delivered and the male is not like the femaleh— "And I do name her Mary and I entrust her protection, and her children's, to You against Satan, the accursed."

Then when she gave birth to her, she said, 'O my Lord I have given Birth to a female. And Allah knows well whatever she had given birth to and that male whom she demanded was not like this female and I have named her Mary, and I give her and her off-spring under Your protection from Satan the rejected.

When she gave birth to her, she said, "My Lord, I have given birth to a girl" - GOD was fully aware of what she bore - "The male is not the same as the female. I have named her Mary, and I invoke Your protection for her and her descendants from the rejected devil."

And when she was delivered of her, she said: 'Lord, I have given birth to her, a female' Allah knew of what she had given birth the male is not like the female 'and I have called her Mary. Protect her and all her descendants from satan, the stoned one.

So when she brought it forth, she said: My Lord, I have brought it forth a female -- and Allah knew best what she brought forth -- and the male is not like the female, and I have named it Mary, and I commend her and her offspring into Thy protection from the accursed devil

So when she gave birth to her, she said: "My Lord, that I gave birth to her, a female." And God (is) more knowing with what she gave birth to. "And the male is not as/like the female and that I named her Mary ,and that I seek protection for her with (in) You, and her descendants, from the devil the cursed/expelled."

When she gave birth to the child she [in a disappointed tone] said: “I delivered a girl.” Of course God knew that she gave birth to a girl. The lady continued: “The male is not [socially/ physically handicapped] like a female [and a male would have served the purpose for which I had dedicated my child better.] I am going to name Her Mary and trust you to protect her and her offspring from the rejected devil.”

So when she gave birth to it, she said, “My Lord! I have indeed given birth to a girl!” And Allah well knows what she gave birth to; and the boy she had prayed for is not like this girl; “And I have named her Maryam and I give her and her offspring in Your protection, against Satan the outcast.”

But when she was delivered of it, she said, `My Lord, I am delivered of a female,' - and ALLAH knew best of what she was delivered and the male she desired to have was not like the female she was delivered of - `and I have named her Mary, and I commit her and her offspring to Thy protection from Satan, the rejected

So when she delivered a baby girl, she submitted: ‘Lord, I have given birth but to a female child.’ But Allah knew best what she had given birth to. (She said:) ‘And the boy (that I prayed for) could never (be) like the girl (that Allah has blessed me with); and I have named her Maryam (Mary, the worshipper); and, surely, I commit her and her children to Your protection against (the mischief of) Satan, the outcast.

But when she gave birth to it she said, `My Lord! I have given birth to a female.' Allah knew best what she had given birth to, and the male (she was thinking of) was not like this female (she had brought forth). `I have named her Mary and I do commend her to Your protection and (also) her offspring (to be saved) from satan, the accursed.

Then when she delivered her (child Maryam (Mary)), she said: "O my Lord! I have delivered a female child," - and Allah knew better what she delivered, - "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I seek refuge with You (Allah) for her and for her offspring from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast."

And when she gave birth to her she said, 'Lord, I have given birth to her, a female.' (And God knew very well what she had given birth to; the male is not as the female.) 'And I have named her Mary, and commend her to Thee with her seed, to protect them from the accursed Satan.

And when she was delivered of it, she said, Lord, verily I have brought forth a female, -- and God well knew what she had brought forth -- and a male is not as a female: I have called her Mary; and I commend her to thy protection, and also her issue, against Satan driven away with stones

And when she brought it forth she said, 'Verily, I have brought it forth a female' - but God knew best what she brought forth; and a male is not like a female - 'I have called her Mary, and I seek a refuge in Thee for her and for her seed from Satan the pelted.

And when she had given birth to it, she said, "O my Lord! Verily I have brought forth a female," - God knew what she had brought forth; a male is not as a female - "and I have named her Mary, and I take refuge with thee for her and for her offspring, from Satan the stoned."

And when she was delivered of the child, she said: ‘Lord, I have given birth to a daughter‘ ― God knew better of what she was delivered: the male is not like the female ― ‘and have called her Mary. I beseech you to protect her and all her descendants from Satan, the Accursed One.‘

Once she delivered it she said, “O my Lord! I have indeed delivered it a female” - but Allah knows best what she had delivered and the male is not like the female - “and I indeed have named her Mary and I indeed seek refuge in You for her and her descendants from Satan the pelted one.”

And when she gave birth to her she said: "Lord, I have given birth to a baby girl - Allâh has full knowledge of what she had given birth to - ‘and the male is not like the female. I have named her Mary, and I earnestly seek Your protection for her and for her offspring from Satan- the accursed one".

So when she delivered it she said: My Lord, I have delivered a female � and Allah knew best what she had delivered, and the male and the female are not alike � and I have named her Maryam (Mary) and I seek refuge in You for her and her descendants from the cursed devil.

When she had given birth, she said, “My Lord, I have given birth to a female.” Allah knows best what should be born. “The male is not like the female. I have named her Mary. I seek Your protection for her and her children against Satan the reject.”

So when she gave birth to her, she said, “My Lord, I have indeed given birth to her, a female,” and Allah knows better what she has delivered, “and the male is not like the female, and I have indeed named her Mary, and I do seek refuge with You for her and her offspring from Satan, the outcast.”

When she gave birth, she said: "My Lord, I have given birth to a daughter."-(Allah (God) was quite Aware of what she had given birth to, for a male is not like a female)-"I have named her Mary, and ask You to protect her and her offspring 'from Satan the Outcast."

So, when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was knowledgeable by what she was delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I was incanting her with you, and her offspring from the outcast Satan.

When she had given birth she said: “My Lord, I have given birth to a female.” — God well knew to what she would give birth. — “The male is not like the female. I have named her Mary and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring against Satan, the accursed.”

And when she delivered (the child who she thought would be a boy) she said, “My Rabb, I have delivered a girl.” Allah knew the female was not like the male (that a female could not perform in the same way as a male). “I have named her Mary. I seek protection from You for her and her lineage against the Satan, the expelled.”

So, when she delivered her, she said: ' My Lord! I have delivered a female (child) ? and Allah knew best what she delivered ? and the male is not like the female; and I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring into Your protection from the accursed Satan'

When she gave birth to the child, she was astonished, even though Allah already knew well what she had brought forth, she said: "O Allah, my Creator, I am delivered of a female. I have called her Maryam and here do I commit her and her progeny to You to protect them from AL-Shaytan and those with characteristics befitting him, the accursed and the outcast"

Then when she delivered it, she said, "My Fosterer! I have delivered it a female." And Allah knew best what she had delivered, and the male is not like the female. "And I have named her Maryam and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring, from the devil, the outcast."

When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and God knew best what she brought forth- "And no wise is the male Like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy pro tection from the Evil One, the Rejected."

Then when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, indeed I [I] (have) delivered [her] a female." And Allah knows better [of] what she delivered, and is not the male like the female. "And that I [I] (have) named her Maryam and that I [I] seek refuge for her in You and her offspring from the Shaitaan the rejected.
