yānisāa l-nabiyi lastunna ka-aḥadin mina l-nisāi ini ittaqaytunna falā takhḍaʿna bil-qawli fayaṭmaʿa alladhī fī qalbihi maraḍun waqul'na qawlan maʿrūfa
O wives (of) the Prophet! You are not like anyone among the women. If you fear (Allah), then (do) not be soft in speech, lest should be moved with desire he who, in his heart (is) a disease, but say a word appropriate.
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any of the [other] women, provided that you remain [truly] conscious of God. Hence, be not over-soft in your speech, lest any whose heart is diseased should be moved to desire [you]: but, withal, speak in a kindly way
O ye wives of the Prophet! Ye are not like any other women. If ye keep your duty (to Allah), then be not soft of speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease aspire (to you), but utter customary speech
O Consorts of the Prophet! Ye are not like any of the (other) women: if ye do fear (Allah), be not too complacent of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire: but speak ye a speech (that is) just
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women: if you are mindful ˹of Allah˺, then do not be overly effeminate in speech ˹with men˺ or those with sickness in their hearts may be tempted, but speak in a moderate tone.
Wives of the Prophet, you are not like any of the other women, provided that you remain mindful of God. Do not, then, be soft-spoken, as you do not want the sick at heart to lust after you, but speak appropriately.

O wives of the prophet! You are not like any other women. If you fear Allah, then don’t be soft in speech (to men not related), lest the one in whose heart there is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire) may be moved with desire in his heart, but speak good words.
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like other women. If you are reverent, then be not overly soft in speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease be moved to desire; and speak in an honorable way
O wives of the Prophet, you are unlike any other women if you uphold righteousness. Therefore, don’t be soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease should desire, but speak with appropriate speech.
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women, if you observe piety. So do not speak too softly, lest the sick at heart lusts after you, but speak in an appropriate manner
O Nisa-An-Nabi (women of the Prophet)! You are not just like one of the (ordinary) women. If you keep your duty (to Allah), then be not soft in speech, lest one gets excited with desire — one in whose heart is a disease; and you should utter statement in an honourable and guarded style
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like the other women: if you fear Allah, then you should not be complaisant while talking to the men who are not closely related to you, lest the one in whose heart is a disease may thereby be encouraged, and speak using suitable good words
O wives of the Prophet, you are not as any other women. In case you act piously, then do not be too subdued of speech, so that he in whose heart is sickness may long for (too much expectation of you); and speak beneficent words
Wives of the Prophet, you are not like other women. If you have fear of God, do not be tender in your speech lest people whose hearts are sick may lust after you

Oh wives of the prophet! You are not like other women. If you fear Allah, do not speak in a soft and pleasant voice, lest someone harboring evil desires in his heart entertains evil thoughts. Be straightforward and say the right thing
O Wives of the Prophet! You are not like any (other) women: If you fear (Allah), do not be soft in (your) speech (about what is said while you teach Islam), in case a person in whose heart is a sickness should be moved with desire: But you speak honorably (in what is to be said)

So (even more than other believing women) do not be complaisant in your speech (when addressing men), lest he in whose heart is a disease should be moved to desire, but speak in an honorable way
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women: if you are wary [of Allah], then do not be complaisant in your speech, lest he in whose heart is a sickness should aspire, and speak honourable words
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women; If you will be on your guard, then be not soft in your speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease yearn for you; and utter goodly (just, polite) speech
Wives of the prophet, you are not like any of the women. If you are cautious (of God), then do not be soft in speech so the one who has disease in his heart does not desire (you), and speak in proper word (and manner).
O wives of the Prophet, you are not like any of the other women. If you realize it, do not speak intuitively, lest one in whose heart is sickness should be moved with expectations, but speak as you should

Wives of the Prophet, you are not like ordinary women [you are the role model and have a social responsibility]. If you are God fearing, do not speak too softly; this may cause some men, with a disease in their hearts, to entertain the wrong ideas. Instead, speak business like. Stay at home [settle down, stick firmly, live peacefully, sit with dignity and take control of the internal affair of your household]; ….
O the wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women - if you really fear Allah, do not speak softly lest the one in whose heart is a disease have any inclination, and speak fairly
O wives of the Prophet ! you are not like any other women if you are righteous. So be not soft in speech, lest he, in whose heart is a disease, should feel tempted; and speak decent words
O wives of the Messenger! You are not the like of any of the womenfolk. If you want to remain pious and Godfearing, then be not soft in your speech (whilst talking to men as and when required) lest someone whose heart is diseased (with hypocrisy) should feel inclined with desire. And (always) say words that are pure of any taint of doubt and flexibility
O wives of the Prophet! you are like no other women, if you would guard against evil, so be not soft in speech lest he who carries a disease in his heart should feel tempted, and you should speak decent words in a dignified tone
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allah), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery, etc.) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner
Wives of the Prophet, you are not as other women. If you are godfearing, be not abject in your speech, so that he in whose heart is sickness may be lustful; but speak honourable words
O wives of the prophet, ye are not as other women: If ye fear God, be not too complaisant in speech, lest he should covet, in whose heart is a disease of incontinence; but speak the speech which is convenient

O wives of the prophet! You are not like any other women. If you revere Allah, then be not submissive in your speech lest the one in whose heart is a sickness will aspire but speak a word that is excellent.
O’ Wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other women. If you (intend to be a model of) Pious behavior, then do not speak softly (to men), lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak in decent and respectable way.
Oh women of the prophet, you are not like any other woman, if you beware (of Allah), then be not too accommodating in speech so that he in whose heart there is a disease takes hope, and speak appropriately.
O Wives of the Prophet, you are not like other women. If you fear, do not speak with a sultry voice. Otherwise, one in whose heart is a disease [of lust] may be tempted with desire. Speak with a dignified voice.
O wives of the Prophet, you are not like any of the other women. If you are truly mindful (of God), then do not speak submissively, lest the sick at heart lust after you, but speak forthright words.
O wives of the Prophet, you are not like any other women! If you do your duty, then do not act too deferential while talking [to others] lest someone whose heart contains malice may thereby be encouraged. Employ suitable speech.
O the Prophet’s women! You are not like anyone among the women, if you show piety. So do not undergo, by the saying, so the one is in his core a disease might covet and you should say a well-known saying.
Wives of the Prophet! You are unlike any other women: if you truly fear God, do not speak too soft, lest any who is sick at heart should be moved with desire; but speak in an appropriate manner.
O wives of the Nabi... You are not like any other women! If you want to be protected, do not talk flirtatiously (with men)! Lest the inconsiderate one in whose heart there is sickness should become hopeful! Speak with appropriate speech to avoid misunderstandings!
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any of the (other) women if you are in awe of Allah, then be not soft in speech lest he in whose heart is disease aspire (at you) and speak honourable words
O you the wives of the Prophet: You must realize that you are not like any of the other women in privileges, dignity, state and all other aspects. If indeed you do entertain the profound reverence dutiful to Allah then you must not be disposed in your discourse, to accommodate yourselves to the rest nor care to please so that you guard yourselves from being supposed by the one whose heart reflects the morbidity inherent in his innermost being. Show discernment in the guidance of your discourse* and let it reflect equity and justice
O wives of the prophet! you are not like any other of the women. If you (wish to) guard (against evil), then do not be soft in your speech (when you talk to other men), lest he in whose heart is a disease, (misunderstandingly) hope, but speak (in) words recognized (as good). heart is a disease, (misunderstandingly) hope, but speak (in) words recognized (as good).
O women of the prophet! You are not like any one among the women; if you fear then do not be soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is sickness yearn; but speak a good speech.
