yaʿmalūna lahu mā yashāu min maḥārība watamāthīla wajifānin kal-jawābi waqudūrin rāsiyātin iʿ'malū āla dāwūda shuk'ran waqalīlun min ʿibādiya l-shakūr
They worked for him what he willed of elevated chambers and statues and bowls like reservoirs and cooking-pots fixed. "Work, O family (of) Dawood! (in) gratitude." But few of My slaves (are) grateful.
they made for him whatever he wished of sanctuaries, and statues, and basins as [large as] great watering - troughs, and cauldrons firmly anchored. [And We said:] “Labour, O David’s people, in gratitude [towards Me] and [remember that] few are the truly grateful [even] among My servants!”

They produce for him what he desires out of fortified places for defence in war, and camouflages (to contain the enemy), and huge moveable storage tanks like (the size of natural) reservoirs (of water and oil), and built to measure storage-devices firmly fixed and anchored (on the surface of the dry earth, or on the ground under water). (Continue to) act, (O) followers of Daud, gratefully. But, very few of Ibad (human subjects) are truly grateful

Offer thanks, oh you the descendants of Da´ood! Very few of My servants express gratitude
They (the jinns') worked for him as he wished (making) arches, images, basins (to hold liquids) as large as ponds (of water) and (large cooking vats or) kettles held (firmly in places): "Family of Dawood (David), you work with thanks! But only a few of My servants are thankful!"

They made for him whatever he wanted, arches, statues, bowls as basins, and fixed cauldrons. (We said:) 'Give thanks, House of David and work. ' Yet only a few of My worshipers are thankful

The Extra-terrestrials would build for him anything he wanted: buildings with statues and paintings, deep pools, heavy cooking instruments, etc. O’ people of David (the Jews) be grateful [for what God endowed your culture with], in fact only a few of My servants are grateful

Those (jinns -handy craftsmen) made for him (- Solomon) whatever he desired, places for worship and plans and basins (as large) as the tanks and large and heavy cooking pots well-set (on their trivets due to their large size). (And We said,) `Act gratefully, O people of David.' Yet few are My people who are (really) grateful

They -the Jinn- were assigned to work for him and do as they were told and produce, build and construct for him what he willed of sanctuaries and places of worship in the form of curved structures of firm material; some bearing weight and others merely ornamental. Also to make for him images and statue and all kinds of pots and vessels of rounded form, broad and deep serving various purposes, some being large enough to be reservoirs and others as fixed huge copper vessels. And We said: "Work righteousness O you the sons of Dawud and let your deeds reflect gratitude and gratefulness to Me". But it is only a few of My servants who do this and impel themselves to the feeling of gratitude and gratefulness
They made for him what he willed, of the fortresses and images and bowls like reservoirs and fixed cooking pots. Work! family of Dawood, being grateful and few of My servants are grateful.
They made for him what he willed of chambers and images, and dishes like troughs, and firm pots; work, O family of David! Thankfully; and few is it of My servants who are thankful.
