Has there reached you the narration of the Overwhelming [event]?
[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,
Worked hard, fatigued,
Scorched by burning fire,
Drinking from a boiling spring.
There will be no food for them except of a bitter thorny plant
Which neither fattens nor avails from hunger.
[Other] faces, that Day, will be blissful
For their effort, they will be satisfied
In a lofty Paradise,
Wherein they will not hear therein foolish talk.
Therein is a running spring.
Therein are raised beds
And cups put in place
And cushions lined up
And carpets spread out.
So, do they not look towards the camels, how they are created?
And towards the sky, how it is lifted up?
And towards the mountains, how they are set firm?
And towards the earth, how it is surfaced?
So remind [them, O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.
You are not over them a controller,
Except whoever turned away and disbelieved [i.e., keep reminding].
So Allah may punish him with the greatest punishment.
Indeed, to Us is their return.
Then indeed, upon Us is their reckoning.
