Dearth, scarcity, drought or sterility.
An iron instrument with which the bottom of a camel's foot is marked, or a camel with such a mark.
A generous quality/action (e.g. passed down from generation to generation).
athar means after, footstep/trace/mark/track/remnant/tradition/teaching, impression/influence, stamp/scar, remains, relics of knowledge transmitted, sunnah, vestige, print, memorial of antiquity. (i.e. that which is left behind from something)

30:50
So look at (the) effects (of the) Mercy (of) Allah, how He gives life (to) the earth after its death. Indeed, that surely He (will) give life (to) the dead. And He (is) on every thing All-Powerful.

And We sent on their footsteps Isa, son (of) Maryam, confirming what (was) between his hands of the Taurat, and We gave him the Injeel, in it (was) Guidance and light and confirming what (was) between his hands of the Taurat and a Guidance and an admonition for the God conscious.

Then perhaps you would (be) the one who kills yourself over their footsteps, if not they believe in this [the] narration, (in) grief.

So they on their footsteps they hastened.

Then We sent on their footsteps Our Messengers and We followed with Isa, son (of) Maryam, and We gave him the Injeel. And We placed in (the) hearts (of) those who followed him compassion and mercy. But monasticism they innovated - not We prescribed it for them - only seeking (the) pleasure (of) Allah, but not they observed it (with) right observance. So We gave those who believed among them their reward, but most of them (are) defiantly disobediently.

Muhammad (is the) Messenger (of) Allah. and those who (are) with him (are) firm against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, seeking Bounty from Allah and pleasure. Their mark (is) on their faces from (the) trace (of) the prostration. That (is) their similitude in the Taurat And their similitude in the Injeel (is) like a seed (which) sends forth its shoot then strengthens it, then it becomes thick and it stands upon its stem delighting the sowers that He (may) enrage by them the disbelievers. has promised Allah those who believe and do righteous deeds among them, forgiveness and a reward great.

20:96
He said, "I perceived what not they perceive, in it, so I took a handful from (the) track (of) the Messenger then threw it, and thus suggested to me my soul."

Do they not travel through the land and see how was (the) end (of) those who (were) from before them? They were more numerous than them and mightier (in) strength and impressions in the land, but not availed them what they used to earn.

Indeed, We [We] give life (to) the dead and We record what they have sent before and their footprints, and every thing We have enumerated it in a Register clear.
