mighty/strong, distress/misfortune/calamity, state of poverty, evil/bad, very evil, feigned lowliness/submissiveness, punishment, state of trial/affliction, courage/valour/prowess.
bi'sa vb. (1) A unique type of verb which is not conjugated, belonging to a family of verbs known as the ""verbs of praise and blame"". Note the vocalisation is also changed from fa'ala to fi'la.

Those (are) the ones who are true and those, [they] (are) the righteous.

Or (do) you think that you will enter Paradise while not (has) come to you like (came to) those who passed away from before you? Touched them [the] adversity and [the] hardship, and they were shaken until said the Messenger and those who believed with him, "When [will] (the) help (of) Allah (come) Unquestionably, [Indeed] help (of) Allah (is) near.

Say to those who remained behind of the Bedouins, "You will be called to a people, possessors of military might great; you will fight them, or they will submit. Then if you obey, will give you Allah a reward good; but if you turn away as you turned away from before, He will punish you (with) a punishment painful."

So when came (the) promise (for) the first of the two, We raised against you servants of Ours Possessor those of military might great and they entered the inner most part (of) the homes, and (it) was a promise fulfilled.

So fight in (the) way (of) Allah; not you are responsible except (for) yourself. And encourage the believers, perhaps Allah will restrain (the) might (of) those who disbelieved. And Allah (is) Stronger (in) Might and Stronger (in) punishment.

Say, "He (is) All-Capable [on] to send upon you punishment from above you or from beneath your feet or (to) confuse you (into) sects and make (you) taste - some of you violence (of) others." See how We explain the Signs so that they may understand.

O my people! For you (is) the kingdom today, dominant in the land, but who will help us from (the) punishment (of) Allah, if it came to us." Said Firaun, "Not I show you except what I see and not I guide you except (to the) path the right."

And they were followed in this (by) a curse and (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection. Wretched (is) the gift which (will) be given.

18:29
And say, "The truth (is) from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a Fire, will surround them its walls. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like molten brass, (which) scalds the faces. Wretched (is) the drink, and evil (is) the resting place.

18:50
And when We said to the Angels, "Prostrate to Adam," so they prostrated except Iblis. (He) was of the jinn, and he rebelled against the Command (of) his Lord. Will you then take him and his offspring (as) protectors from other than Me, while they (are) to you enemies? Wretched for the wrongdoers (is) the exchange.

49:11
O you who believe! (Let) not ridicule a people [of] (another) people, perhaps that they maybe better than them; and (let) not women [of] (other) women perhaps that they maybe better than them. And (do) not insult yourselves and (do) not call each other by nicknames. Wretched is the name (of) disobedience after the faith. And whoever (does) not repent, then those - they (are) the wrongdoers.

62:5
(The) likeness (of) those who were entrusted (with) the Taurat then not they bore it, (is) like the donkey who carries books. Wretched is (the) example (of) the people who deny (the) Signs (of) Allah. And Allah (does) not guide the people, the wrongdoers.

Evil (is) that (for) which they have sold with themselves, that they disbelieve in what has revealed Allah, grudging that sends down Allah of His Grace on whom He wills from His servants. So they have drawn (on themsel wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers (is) a punishment humiliating.

And when We took your covenant and We raised over you the mount, "Hold what We gave you, with firmness and listen." They said, "We heard and we disobeyed." And they were made to drink in their hearts (love of) the calf because of their disbelief. Say, "Evil (is) that orders you (to do) it with your faith, if you are believers."

7:150
And when returned Musa to his people - angry, and grieved, he said, "Evil is what you have done in my place from after me. Were you impatient (over the) matter (of) your Lord?" And he cast down the tablets and seized by head, his brother dragging him to himself. He said, "O son (of) my mother! Indeed, the people considered me weak and were about to kill me. So (let) not rejoice over me the enemies, and (do) not place me with the people the wrongdoing."

So when they saw Our punishment they said, "We believe in Allah Alone and we disbelieve in what we used to with Him associate."

40:85
But not did benefit them their faith when they saw Our punishment. (Such is the) Way (of) Allah which (has) indeed preceded among His slaves. And are lost there the disbelievers.

21:12
Then when they perceived Our torment, behold, they from it were fleeing.

Will say those who associate partners (with Allah "If had willed Allah, not we (would) have associated par and not our forefathers and not we (would) have forbidden [of] anything." Likewise denied those who from (were) before them until they tasted Our wrath. Say, "Is with you [of] any knowledge then produce it for us? Not you follow except the assumption, and not you (do) but guess."

And how many of a city We destroyed it, and came to it Our punishment (at) night or (while) they were sleeping at noon.

Then not was their plea when came to them Our punishment except that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers."

Then did feel secure (the) people (of) the cities that comes to them Our punishment (at) night while they (were) asleep?

Or felt secure (the) people (of) the cities that comes to them Our punishment (in) daylight while they (were) playing?

Until when gave up hope the Messengers, and thought that they certainly were denied, then came to them Our help, and was saved whom We willed. And not (can) be repelled Our punishment from the people (who are) criminals.

Do not you see [to] those who were forbidden from secret counsels, then they return to what they were forbidden from [it], and they hold secret counsels for sin and aggression and disobedience (to) the Messenger? And when they come to you, they greet you with what not greets you therewith Allah, and they say among themselves, "Why (does) not punish us Allah for what we say?" Sufficient (for) them (is) Hell, they will burn in it and worst is the destination.

3:187
And when took Allah a Covenant (from) those who were given the Book, "You certainly make it clear to the mankind and (do) not conceal it. Then they threw it behind their backs and they exchanged [with] it (for) a price little. And wretched (is) what they purchase.

38:56
Hell; they will burn therein and wretched (is) the resting place.

39:72
It will be said, "Enter (the) gates (of) Hell (to) abide eternally therein, and wretched is (the) abode (of) the arrogant."

Enter (the) gates (of) Hell (to) abide forever in it, and wretched is (the) abode (of) the arrogant."

Until when he comes to Us he says, "O would that between me and between you (were the) distance (of) the East and the West." How wretched is the companion!

Why (do) not forbid them, the Rabbis and the religious scholars from their saying the sinful and their eating (of) the forbidden? Surely, evil (is) what they used to do.

They had been not forbidding each other from wrongdoing they did [it]. Surely, evil (was) what they were doing.

5:80
You see many of them taking as allies those who disbelieved. Surely evil (is) what sent forth for them their souls, that became angry Allah with them and in the punishment they (will) abide forever.

An enjoyment little, then their abode (is) hell - [and] a wretched [the] resting place.

3:12
Say to those who disbelieve[d], "You will be overcome and you will be gathered to Hell, [and] an evil [the] resting place.

And whoever turns to them that day his back except (as) a strategy of war or (to) join to a group, certainly (he has) incurred wrath of Allah and his abode (is) Hell, a wretched destination.

14:29
Hell, (in) it they will burn and a wretched place to settle.

2:126
And when said Ibrahim, "My Lord make this a city secure and provide its people with fruits, (to) whoever believed from them in Allah and the Day the Last," He said, "And whoever disbelieved, [then] I will grant him enjoym a little; then I will force him to (the) punishment (of) the Fire, and evil (is) the destination.

3:151
We will cast in (the) hearts (of) those who disbelieve [the] terror because they associated partners with Allah, what not He sent down about it any authority, and their refuge (will be) the Fire and wretched (is the) abode [of] the wrongdoers.

3:162
So is (the one) who pursues (the) pleasure (of) Allah like (the one) who draws on (himself) wrath of Allah and his abode (is) hell, and wretched (is) the destination?

9:73
O Prophet! Strive (against) the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be stern with them. And their abode (is) Hell, and wretched (is) the destination.

11:98
He will precede his people (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection and lead them (into) the Fire. And wretched (is) the place to which (they are) led.

13:18
For those who responded to their Lord (is) the bliss. And for those who (did) not respond to Him, if that they had whatever (is) in the earth all and like of it with it, surely they would offer ransom with it. Those for them (is) a terrible reckoning, and their abode (is) Hell, and wretched (is) the resting place.

22:72
And when are recited to them Our Verses clear, you will recognize on (the) faces (of) those who disbelieve the denial. They almost attack those who recite to them Our Verses. Say, "Then shall I inform you of worse than that? The Fire, (has) promised it Allah (for) those who disbelieve, and wretched (is) the destination."

57:15
So today not will be accepted from you any ransom and not from those who disbelieved. Your abode (is) the Fire; it (is) your protector and wretched is the destination.

64:10
But those who disbelieved and denied [in] Our Verses, those (are the) companions (of) the Fire, abiding forever therein. And wretched is the destination.

66:9
O Prophet! Strive (against) the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. And their abode (is) Hell, and wretched is the destination.

And when it is said to him "Fear Allah," takes him (his) pride to [the] sins. Then enough for him (is) Hell - [and] surely an evil [the] resting-place.

And they followed what recite(d) the devils over (the) kingdom (of) Sulaiman. And not disbelieved Sulaiman [and] but the devils disbelieved, they teach the people [the] magic and what was sent down to the two angels in Babylon, Harut and Marut. And not they both teach any one unless they [both] say, "Only we (are) a trial, so (do) not disbelieve." But they learn from those what [they] causes separation with it between the man and his spouse. And not they (could) at all [be those who] harm with it any one except by permission (of) Allah. And they learn what harms them and not profits them. And indeed they knew that whoever buys it, not for him in the Hereafter any share. And surely evil (is) what they sold with it themselves, if they were (to) know.

24:57
(Do) not think those who disbelieve (can) escape in the earth. And their abode (will be) the Fire and wretched is the destination.
