General Root Meaning
returned, went/came back, he bore or took upon himself, became ladened/burdened, became the abiding-place thereof, became answerable/accountable/responsible, equal/alike, a match, rested/remained, lodged him in an abode, mubawwa: a dwelling, place of lodging, settlement, tabawwa: to take or make as one's dwelling.

8:16
And whoever turns to them that day his back except (as) a strategy of war or (to) join to a group, certainly (he has) incurred wrath of Allah and his abode (is) Hell, a wretched destination.

3:162
So is (the one) who pursues (the) pleasure (of) Allah like (the one) who draws on (himself) wrath of Allah and his abode (is) hell, and wretched (is) the destination?

22:26
And when We assigned to Ibrahim (the) site (of) the House, "That (do) not associate with Me anything and purify My House for those who circumambulate and those who stand and those who bow, (and) those who prostrate.

10:93
And verily, We settled (the) Children (of) Israel (in) a settlement honorable, and We provided them with the good things, and not they differ until came to them the knowledge. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them (on) the Day (of) the Resurrection, concerning what they used (to) [in it] differ.

29:58
And those who believe and do [the] righteous deeds, surely We will give them a pla in Paradise lofty dwellings, flow from underneath it the rivers, will abide forever in it. Excellent is (the) reward (of) the workers

16:41
And those who emigrated in (the way) (of) Allah from after [what] they were wronged, surely We will give them posit in the world good, but surely the reward (of) the Hereafter (is) greater, if they know.

And when you said, "O Musa! Never (will) we endure [on] food (of) one (kind), so pray for us (to) your Lord to bring forth for us out of what grows the earth, of its herbs, [and] its cucumbers, [and] its garlic, [and] its lentils, and its onions." He said, "Would you exchange that which [it] (is) inferior for that which [it] (is) better? Go down (to) a city, so indeed for you (is) what you have asked (for)." And were struck on them the humiliation and the misery and they drew on themselves wrath of Allah That (was) because they used to disbelieve in (the) Signs (of) Allah and kill the Prophets without (any) [the] right. That (was) because they disobeyed and they were transgressing.

3:112
Struck on them the humiliation wherever that they are found except with a rope from Allah and a rope from the people. And they incurred wrath from Allah and struck on them the poverty. That (is) because they used to disbelieve in (the) Verses (of) Allah and they killed the Prophets without right. That (is) because they disobeyed and they used to transgress.

7:74
And remember when He made you successors from after Aad, and settled you in the earth. You take from its plains palaces and you carve out the mountains (as) homes. So remember (the) Bounties (of) Allah and (do) not act wickedly in (the) earth spreading corruption.

  
yatabawwa-u   (1)

12:56
And thus We established [to] Yusuf in the land to settle therein where ever he willed. We bestow Our Mercy (on) whom We will. And not We let go waste (the) reward (of) the good-doers.
