Haa-Siin-Ra
General Root Meaning
To get tired/fatigued/jaded, fall short. To remove/put off/take off/strip off something, to peel, to sweep, to sink and disappear, to be low or retired, to be weary, to be dim or dull, express grief or sorrow or regret, to despise someone, to annoy or vex someone, drive someone away, cause someone to experience or fall into grief or regret, to moult or shed feathers (birds), to fall or fall off due to fatigue, to uncover something, to be removed or cleared away.

19:39
And warn them (of the) Day (of) the Regret, when has been decided the matter. And they (are) in heedlessness, and they (do) not believe.

2:167
And said those who followed, "(Only) if [that] for us a return, then we will disown [from] them as they disown [from] us." Thus will show them Allah their deeds (as) regrets for them. And not they will come out from the Fire.

35:8
Then is (he) who - is made fair-seeming to him (the) evil (of) his deed - so that he sees it (as) good? For indeed, Allah lets go astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So (let) not go out your soul for them (in) regrets. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Knower of what they do.

  
ḥasratan   (1)

3:156
O you who believe[d]! (Do) not be like those who disbelieved and they said about their brothers when they traveled in the earth or they were fighting, "If they had been with us, not they (would have) died and not they would have been killed." So makes Allah that a regret in their hearts. And Allah gives life and causes death, and Allah of what you do (is) All-Seer.

8:36
Indeed, those who disbelieve, they spend their wealth to hinder (people) from (the) way (of) Allah. So they will spend it, then it will be for them a regret, then they will be overcome. And those who disbelieve, to Hell they will be gathered.

Then return the vision twice (again). Will return to you the vision humbled while it (is) fatigued.

Lest should say a soul, "Oh! My regret over what I neglected in regard (to) Allah and that I was surely, among the mockers."

  
yastaḥsirūna   (1)

21:19
And to Him (belongs) whoever (is) in the heavens and the earth. And (those) who (are) near Him not they are arrogant to worship Him and not they tire.
