General Root Meaning
To be changed, come in between, pass by. To be altered or transmuted or changed, to shift or turn from one thing to another, to be shifted or transferred, to move or remove, to become crooked or uneven, shift from one's way or direction or manner, shift or move from one's place, to be shifted or moved to another place, to withdraw or recede from a covenant/compact/agreement/engagement, leap and seat oneself firmly on the back of his beast or horse, to pass, to revolve and pass, become complete, intervene as a seperation/partition/fence/barrier/obstacle/obstruction, to intervene and prevent conjunction or communication, to pour out or forth, make or pronounce a thing to be absurd/inconsistent/self-contradictory/unreal/impossible, to desire or seek a thing using skill/management/blandishment/artifice, seek or endevour a person to do a thing, almost congealed or freezing, look sharply or intently or cast ones eyes on a person, to strike or desire to strike a person with a whip, reckon a person, esteem a person weak, practice evasion or elusion, practice artifice or artful contrivance or device against a person, to trick or plot, practice strategem.

2:240
And those who die among you and leave behind (their) wives (should make) a will for their wives, provision for the year without driving (them) out. But if they leave then no blame upon you in what they do concerning themselves [of] honorably. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

17:56
Say, "Call those whom you claimed from besides Him, [then] not they have power (to) remove the misfortunes from you and not (to) transfer (it)."

17:77
(Such is Our) Way (for) whom [verily] We sent before you of Our Messengers. And not you will find (in) Our way any alteration.

35:43
(Due to) arrogance in the land and plotting (of) the evil; but not encompasses the plot (of) the evil except its own people. Then do they wait except (the) way (of) the former (people)? But never you will find in (the) way (of) Allah any change, and never you will find in (the) way (of) Allah any alteration.

ḥawlakum   (2)

9:101
And among those around you of the bedouins (are) hypocrites and (also) from people (of) the Madinah. They persist in the hypocrisy, not you know them, We [We] know them. We will punish them twice then they will be returned to a punishment great.

46:27
And certainly We destroyed what surrounds you of the towns, and We have diversified the Signs, that they may return.

Those who bear the Throne and who (are) around it glorify (the) praises (of) their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who believe, "Our Lord! You encompass all things (by Your) Mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Way and save them (the) punishment (of) the Hellfire.

2:17
Their example (is) like (the) example (of) the one who kindled a fire, then, when it illuminated what (was) around him took away Allah their light and left them in darkness[es], (so) not (do) they see.

26:25
He said to those around him, "Do not you hear?"

26:34
He said to the chiefs around him, "Indeed, this (is) surely a magician learned.

17:1
Exalted (is) the One Who took His servant (by) night from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam, to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa which We blessed its surroundings, that We may show him of Our Signs. Indeed He, He (is) the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

And this (is) a Book, We have revealed it, blessed, confirming which (from) between his hands, so that you may warn (the) mother (of) the cities and who (are) around it. And those who believe in the Hereafter, they believe in it, and they, over their prayers (are) guarding.

27:8
But when he came to it, he was called [that] "Blessed is who (is) at the fire and whoever (is) around it. And glory be (to) Allah (the) Lord (of) the worlds.

42:7
And thus We have revealed to you a Quran (in) Arabic, that you may warn (the) mother (of) the towns, and whoever (is) around it, and warn (of the) Day (of) Assembly, (there is) no doubt in it. A party (will be) in Paradise and a party in the Blazing Fire.

9:120
Not it was (for) the people of the Madinah and who were around them of the bedouins, that they remain behind after the Messenger of Allah, and not they prefer their lives to his life. That is because [they] (does) not afflict them thirst and not fatigue and not hunger in (the) way (of) Allah, and not they step any step that angers the disbelievers and not they inflict on an enemy an infliction except is recorded for them in it (as) a deed righteous. Indeed, Allah (does) not allow to be lost the reward (of) the good-doers.

Do not they see that We have made a Sanctuary secure while are being taken away the people from around them? Then do in (the) falsehood they believe and in (the) Favor (of) Allah they disbelieve?

2:233
And the mothers shall suckle their children (for) two years complete, for whoever wishes to complete the suckling. And upon the father (on) him (is) their provision and their clothing in a fair manner. Not is burdened any soul except its capacity. Not made to suffer (the) mother because of her child and not (the) father (be) because of his child. And on the heirs (is a duty) like that. Then if they both desire weaning through mutual consent of both of them and consultation, then no blame on both of them. And if you want to ask another women to suckle your child then (there is) no blame on you, when you pay what you give in a fair manner. And fear Allah and know that Allah of what you do (is) All-Seer.

Except the oppressed among the men and the women and the children not who are able to plan and not they are directed (to) a way.

He said, "I will betake myself to a mountain, (that) will save me from the water." He said, "(There is) no protector today from the Command (of) Allah except, (on) whom He has mercy." And came (in) between them the waves, so he was among the drowned.

And a barrier will be placed between them and between what they desire, as was done with their kind from before. Indeed, they were in doubt disquieting.

O you who believe! Respond to Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to what gives you life. And know that Allah comes (in) between a man and his heart, and that to Him you will be gathered.
