General Root Meaning
He (God) created him with an adaptation/disposition by nature. He compelled him against his will. He (or they) came/went/betook himself to the mountain. He (a digger) reached a hard place or stone in his digging. Big/thick/coarse/rough (human or a thing). Much/numerous. The lord/chief of a company of men. Any of the mountains of the earth that is big and long (also applied to a rocky tract. Any rocky evelation however little) A man who doesn't remove from his place/niggard. The serpent. The echo. A vice/fault/defect/blemish. Hardness of the earth/ground. A camel's hump. The origin of any created thing. A garment/piece of cloth good in respect of the thread and the weaving. Company of men/nation. Nature/natural/native/innate/original. Relating to mountain/mountains. Having a bad/ugly face. Applied to a man: Great/large/big in make like a mountain.
jabala - to form/create, to mix (e.g. clay with water).
jabillun/jibillat - crowd/multitude, number of people, generation.

7:74
And remember when He made you successors from after Aad, and settled you in the earth. You take from its plains palaces and you carve out the mountains (as) homes. So remember (the) Bounties (of) Allah and (do) not act wickedly in (the) earth spreading corruption.

17:37
And (do) not walk in the earth (with) insolence. Indeed, you will never tear the earth and will never reach the mountains (in) height.

18:47
And the Day We will cause (to) move the mountains and you will see the earth (as) a leveled plain and We will gather them and not We will leave behind from them anyone.

21:79
And We gave understanding of i (to) Sulaiman, and (to) each We gave judgment and knowledge. And We subjected with Dawud the mountains (to) glorify Our praises and the birds. And We were the Doers.

27:88
And you see the mountains, thinking them firmly fixed, while they will pass (as the) passing (of) the clouds. (The) Work (of) Allah Who perfected all things. Indeed, He (is) All-Aware of what you do.

Indeed, We subjected the mountains with him glorifying in the evening and [the] sunrise.

Almost the heavens get torn therefrom, and splits asunder the earth and collapse the mountain (in) devastation

And if that was any Quran, could be moved by it the mountains, or could be cloven asunder by it the earth, or could be made to speak by it the dead. Nay, with Allah (is) the command all. Then do not know those who believe that if had willed Allah surely, He would have guided (of) the mankind all? And not will cease those who disbelieve to strike them for what they did a disaster, or it settles close from their homes until comes (the) Promise (of) Allah. Indeed, Allah (will) not fail (in) the Promise.

And indeed they planned their plan, but with Allah (was) their plan, even if was their plan that should be moved by it the mountains.

And will move away, the mountains (with an awful) movement

He said, "Never you (can) see Me, but look at the mountain [then] if it remains in its place then you see Me." But when revealed (His) Glory his Lord to the mountain, He made it crumbled to dust and fell down Musa unconscious. And when he recovered he said, "Glory be to You! I turn (in repentance) to you, and I am (the) first (of) the believers."

Do not you see that Allah drives clouds then joins between them then makes them (into) a mass, then you see the rain come forth from their midst? And He sends down from (the) sky, [from] mountains within it [of] (is) hail and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. Nearly (the) flash (of) its lighting takes away the sight.

He said, "I will betake myself to a mountain, (that) will save me from the water." He said, "(There is) no protector today from the Command (of) Allah except, (on) whom He has mercy." And came (in) between them the waves, so he was among the drowned.

If We (had) sent down this Quran on a mountain, surely you (would) have seen i humbled, breaking asunder from (the) fear (of) Allah. And these (are) the examples, We present them to the people so that they may give thought.

2:260
And when said Ibrahim, "My Lord show me how You give life (to) the dead." He said, "Have not you believed?" He said, "Yes [and] but to satisfy my heart." He said "Then take four of the birds and incline them towards you, then put on each hill of them a portion; then call them, they will come to you (in) haste. And know that Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

69:14
And are lifted the earth and the mountains and crushed (with) a crushing single.
