General Root Meaning
To decline or deviate, act wrongfully or unjustly, to live near or close (to another), to protect, save or rescue, grant refuge.
  
is'tajāraka   (1)

9:6
And if anyone of the polytheists seek your protection then grant him protection until he hears (the) Words (of) Allah. Then escort him (to) his place of safety. That (is) because they (are) a people not (who) do know.

And upon Allah (is) the direction (of) the way, and among them (are) crooked. And if He willed, surely He would have guided yo all.

And when made fair-seeming to them the Shaitaan their deeds and he said, "No (one) (can) overcome [to] you today from the people and indeed, I am a neighbor for you." But when came in sight the two forces he turned away on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am free of you. Indeed, I see what not (do) you see, indeed, I [I] fear Allah. And Allah (is) severe (in) the penalty."

Indeed, in that surely (are) Signs for a people who use reason.

And worship Allah And (do) not associate with Him anything, and to the parents (do) good, and with the relatives, and the orphans, and the needy and the neighbor (who is) near, and the neighbor (who is) farther away, and the companion by your side and the traveler and what possess[ed] your right hands. Indeed, Allah (does) not love (the one) who is [a] proud (and) [a] boastful.

4:36

O our people! Respond (to the) caller (of) Allah and believe in him. He will forgive for you of your sins and will protect you from a punishment painful.
