To pass in or pass along a place, leave it (a place) behind, pass through a place, traverse or cross, pass beyond a place, exceed or transgress the proper bound/limit/measure, excessive/extravagant/immoderate, allowable (pass as right or sound or valid or lawful), effect a judgement or opinion, give, clear away, relax or remit, overlook.

Said those who were certain that they (would) meet Allah, "How many of a company small overcame a company large by (the) permission (of) Allah. And Allah (is) with the patient ones."

And We led across (the) Children (of) Israel the sea. Then they came upon a people devoted to idols of theirs. They said, "O Musa! Make for us a god like what they have gods. He said, "Indeed, you (are) a people ignorant.

And We took across (the) Children (of) Israel - the sea, and followed them Firaun and his hosts (in) rebellion and enmity, until when overtook him the drowning, he said, "I believe that (there is) no god except the One, Whom believe in the Children (of) Israel, and I am of the Muslims."

Those (are) the ones We will accept from them (the) best (of) what they did and We will overlook [from] their evil deeds, among (the) companions (of) Paradise. A promise true which they were promised.
