73:12
Indeed, with Us (are) shackles and burning fire,

4:84
So fight in (the) way (of) Allah; not you are responsible except (for) yourself. And encourage the believers, perhaps Allah will restrain (the) might (of) those who disbelieved. And Allah (is) Stronger (in) Might and Stronger (in) punishment.

79:25
So seized him Allah (with) an exemplary punishment (for) the last and the first.

5:38
And (for) the male thief and the female thief - [then] cut off their hands (as) a recompense for what they earned (as) an exemplary (punishment) from Allah. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

So We made it a deterrent punishment for those between (in front) Hands (of them) and those after them and an admonition for those who fear (Allah).
