Ra-Siin-Waw
General Root Meaning
to be firm, stable, immoveable, still, lat at anchor, moor (ship), come to pass.
rawasiya (pl. of rasiyatun, f. of rasin for rasiyin) - things which are firmly and immovably fixed, mountains.
arsa (vb. 4) - to fix firmly.
mursan - that which is fixed with regard to time or place.

And the mountains, He made them firm,

They worked for him what he willed of elevated chambers and statues and bowls like reservoirs and cooking-pots fixed. "Work, O family (of) Dawood! (in) gratitude." But few of My slaves (are) grateful.

13:3
And He (is) the One Who spread the earth, and placed in it firm mountains and rivers, and from all (of) the fruits He made in it pairs two. He covers the night (with) the day. Indeed, in that surely (are) Signs for a people who ponder.

And the earth, We have spread it and [We] cast therein firm mountains and [We] caused to grow therein of every thing well-balanced.

And He has cast in the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads so that you may be guided,

They ask you about the Hour, when (is) its arrival?

7:187
They ask you about the Hour, when will be its appointed time? Say, "Only its knowledge (is) with my Lord, no (one) can reveal [it] its time except Him. It lays heavily in the heavens and the earth. Not will it come to you but suddenly." They ask you as if you (were) well informed about it. Say, "Only its knowledge (is) with Allah, but most (of) the people (do) not know."

11:41
And he said, "Embark in it, in the name of Allah (is) its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord (is) certainly Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
