to pour forth, hit the mark, come down. asaaba - to overtake, happen to, befall, fall upon, will, affect injuriously, meet with, send down, pour down upon, afflict or punish, intend, desire.
sawaabun - that which is right, straight forward course, rightness.
musiibun - that which happens.
musiibatun - calamity.Lane: "...it poured forth (said of rain), it descended, a calamity that falls upon or becomes settled/fixed..."

Allah (is) the One Who sends the winds, so they raise (the) clouds, then He spreads them in the sky, how He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain coming forth from their midst. Then when He causes it to fall on whom He wills of His slaves, behold! They rejoice.

Then We subjected to him the wind to flow by his command, gently, wherever he directed,

Indeed, Allah (will) not fail (in) the Promise.

Detain both of them from after the prayer and let them both swear by Allah if you doubt, "Not we will exchange it for a price even if he is (of) a near relative, and not we will conceal testimony (of) Allah. Indeed, we then (will) surely (be) of the sinners."

(Do) not render in vain your charities with reminders (of it) or [the] hurt, like the one who spends his wealth (to) be seen (by) the people, and (does) not believe in Allah and the Day [the] Last. Then his example (is) like (that of a) smooth rock upon it (is) dust, then fell on it heavy rain, then left it bare. Not they have control on anything of what they (have) earned. And Allah (does) not guide the people [the] disbelieving.

Would like any of you that it be for him a garden, of date-palms and grapevines flowing [from] underneath it the rivers, for him in it of all (kinds) (of) [the] fruits, and strikes him [the] old age and [for] his children (are) weak then falls on it whirlwind, in it (is) fire then it is burnt. Thus makes clear Allah for you (His) Signs so that you may ponder.

Then struck them (the) evil (results) (of) what they did, and surrounded them what they used (to) [of it] mock.

Then struck them (the) evils (of) what they earned. And those who have wronged of these, will strike them (the) evils (of) what they earned; and not they will be able to escape.

And He sends down from (the) sky, [from] mountains within it [of] (is) hail and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. And glorifies the thunder with his praise - and the Angels for fear of Him. And He sends the thunderbolts and strikes with it whom He wills, yet they dispute about Allah. And He (is) Mighty (in) Strength.

Not it was (for) the people of the Madinah and who were around them of the bedouins, that they remain behind after the Messenger of Allah, and not they prefer their lives to his life. That is because [they] (does) not afflict them thirst and not fatigue and not hunger in (the) way (of) Allah, and not they step any step that angers the disbelievers and not they inflict on an enemy an infliction except is recorded for them in it (as) a deed righteous. Indeed, Allah (does) not allow to be lost the reward (of) the good-doers.
