General Root Meaning
to travel during the night, to depart/pass.
asra - to make anyone to travel by night, repair to an upland.
sarat - highest point, summit.
sariyyan - rivulet, fountain, stream, chief of the nation.

20:77
And verily, We inspired to Musa that, "Travel by night with My slaves and strike for them a path in the sea dry; not fearing to be overtaken and not being afraid."

26:52
And We inspired to Musa, [that] "Travel by night with My slaves, indeed, you (will be) followed."

Not is for a Prophet that (there) should be for him prisoners of war until he has battled strenuously in the land. You desire (the) commodities (of) the world, but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

17:1
Exalted (is) the One Who took His servant (by) night from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam, to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa which We blessed its surroundings, that We may show him of Our Signs. Indeed He, He (is) the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

They said, "O Lut! Indeed, we (are) messengers (of) your Lord, never they will reach you. So travel with your family in a part of the night and (let) not look back anyone of you, except your wife. Indeed, it will strike her what will strike them. Indeed, their appointed time (is) morning. Is not the morning near?"

So travel with your family in a portion of the night and follow their backs, and not let look back among you anyone, and go on where you are ordered."

Then "Set out with My slaves (by) night. Indeed, you (will be) followed.
