| Arabic | | زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ الْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْخَيْلِ الْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ وَالْحَرْثِ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَاللَّهُ عِندَهُ حُسْنُ الْمَآب |  |

| [the] stored up | l-muqanṭarati | الْمُقَنْطَرَةِ | ق ط ر | |
| [the] gold | l-dhahabi | الذَّهَبِ | ذ ه ب | |
| and [the] silver, | wal-fiḍati | وَالْفِضَّةِ | ف ض ض | |
| and [the] horses | wal-khayli | وَالْخَيْلِ | خ ى ل | |
| [the] branded, | l-musawamati | الْمُسَوَّمَةِ | س و م | |
| and [the] cattle | wal-anʿāmi | وَالْأَنْعَامِ | ن ع م | |
| and [the] tilled land. | wal-ḥarthi | وَالْحَرْثِ | ح ر ث | |
| (is) provision | matāʿu | مَتَاعُ | م ت ع | |
| (of) life | l-ḥayati | الْحَيَوةِ | ح ى ى | |
| (of) the world | l-dun'yā | الدُّنْيَا | د ن و | |
| but Allah - | wal-lahu | وَاللَّهُ | ا ل ه | |
| with Him | ʿindahu | عِنْدَهُ | ع ن د | |
| (is an) excellent | ḥus'nu | حُسْنُ | ح س ن | |
| [the] abode to return. | l-maābi | الْمَءَابِ | ا و ب | |
