He said: "What! shall I seek a deity for you other than God, when He has exalted you above all other people (through faith and the true religion with which He has favored you)?"
He (Musa) said: "Shall I find a god for you other than the (True and Only) Allah, when He has given you the gift above the creations (of men and jinns)?"
He further said: "Should I seek for you a god for worship other than Allah: when it is He who has exalted you above all the world

He (further) said, "Shall I seek other gods for you besides Allah? Although it is He, Who has favored you and preferred you over the entire world."

(Musa further) said: “Shall I seek for you an ilah other than Allah while He made you superior over the worlds (as Muslims)?”
Then he added: "Should I look for another god for you while it was God who showered you, more than any other nation in the world, with His blessing?"

“When he has chosen you (by informing you of the reality of vicegerency) over the worlds (mankind), shall I assume a god for you besides Allah?”

Al-muntakhab fi tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim
"Would I", he added, "induce you to pay reverence and veneration to a deity other than Allah, the Creator, and adore him (or it) with appropriate acts and rites, when it was He Who confined to you such prerogative as to be the chosen for His mercy and blessings out of all people?* "
