13:1  Alif.Lam.Mim.Ra. Those are the signs of the Book, and that which is sent down to you from your Lord is the truth; but most of mankind do not believe.
13:2  God is the one who raised the heavens without columns which you see; then He settled on the throne, and He subjected the sun and the moon; each running for a named term; He governs the affair, He explains the signs in detail, perhaps you will be sure of the meeting of your Lord.
13:3  And He is the one who stretched out the earth and placed in it firm mountains and rivers, and of all the fruits He made in it pairs. He covers the night with the day; indeed, in that surely are signs for people who think.
13:4  And in the earth are neighbouring tracts, and gardens of grapes and corn and palms growing together and not growing together; they are watered with one water, and We gave preference to some of them over some in the fruit; indeed, in that surely are signs for people who are intelligent.
13:5  And if you wonder, then wondrous is their speech: 'When we become dust? Will we indeed, surely be in a new creation?' Those are the ones who disbelieve in their Lord, and those, on their necks are the fetters, and those are the fellows of the fire; they will dwell in it forever.
13:6  And they ask you to hasten the evil before the good; and verily examples have passed away before them. And indeed, your Lord is surely a possessor of forgiveness for mankind upon their wrongdoing; and indeed, your Lord is surely severe in punishment.
13:7  And those who disbelieve say, ‘If only a sign is sent down to him from his Lord.' You are only a warner, and for every people a guide.
13:8  God knows what each female bears, and what the wombs decrease and what they increase; and everything with Him is in measure.
13:9  The knower of the unseen and the seen, the Great, the Exalted.
13:10  Equal among you is one who concealed the speech and one who publicized it, and one who he is hidden in the night and is conspicuous during the day.
13:11  For him are successive angels before him and behind him, they guard him of the command of God; indeed God does not change what is for people until they change what is in their souls. And when God desires evil for people, then there is no averting it, and there is no patron for them besides Him.
13:12  He is the one who shows you the lightning, fear and hope; and He makes the heavy cloud rise.
13:13  And the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels for fear of Him. And He sends the thunderbolts and strikes with it whom He wills; and they dispute about God, and He is strong in plot.
13:14  To Him is the call of truth, and those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with a thing, except as one who stretches out his hand to the water to reach his mouth, and it will not reach it. And the call of the disbelievers is only in error.
13:15  And to God prostrates whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and their shadows in the early morning and the evening.
13:16  Say, 'Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?' Say, 'God;' Say, 'Have you then taken patrons besides Him? They do not have power for themselves to profit nor to harm.' Say, 'Is the blind and the seeing equal? Or are the darknesses and the light equal? Or have they made for God partners who created like His creation, so the creation was similar to them?' Say, 'God is the creator of everything, and He is the One, the Subduer.'
13:17  He sent down water from the heaven, and the valleys flowed according to their measure, then the torrent carried the increasing foam; and of that which they kindle in the fire seeking ornaments or utensils, a foam like it; thus God strikes the truth and the falsehood; then as for the foam it is goes away, and as for what profits mankind, then it stays in the earth. Thus God strikes the similitudes.
13:18  For those who respond to their Lord is good; but those who do not respond to Him, if they had all that is in the earth and the like of it with it, surely they would give it for a ransom; those shall have an evil reckoning, and their refuge is Hell, and evil is the bed.
13:19  Then is He who knows that what has been sent down to you from your Lord is the truth like one who is blind? Only possessors of understanding remember.
13:20  Those who fulfil God's covenant and do not break the covenant,
13:21  And those who join what God has commanded to be joined, and fear their Lord and fear the evil reckoning;
13:22  And those who are patient, seeking the face of their Lord, and are steadfast in the prayer, and spend of what We have provided them in secret and in public, and avert the evil with the good, those, for them is the consequence of the home.
13:23  Gardens of Eden, they shall enter them and whoever was righteous among their fathers, and their spouses and their offspring; and the angels shall enter unto them from every gate.
13:24  'Peace be on you, because you were patient; and excellent is the consequence of the home.'
13:25  And those who break God's covenant after his covenant, and cut what God has commanded to be joined, and do evil in the earth, those, for them is the curse, and for them is an evil home.
13:26  God extends the provision to whom He wills and He straitens; and they rejoice in the worldly life, and the worldly life, concerning the hereafter, is not except a provision.
13:27  Those who disbelieve say, 'If only a sign is sent down to him from his Lord.' Say, 'Indeed, God causes whom He wills to go astray, and He guides to Him whoever has repented.'
13:28  Those who believed and their hearts are at ease with the remembrance of God. Lo, with the remembrance of God are the hearts at ease.
13:29  Those who believed and did good works, goodness for them and a good place of return.
13:30  Thus We have sent you to a nation before which nations have passed away, to recite to them that which We have inspired you with; and they disbelieve in the Merciful. Say, 'He is my Lord; there is no god but He; on Him I rely, and unto Him is my repentance.'
13:31  And though that was a Quran by which the mountains are made to pass away, or by which the earth were cut up, or by which the dead were made to speak. Nay, for God is the command altogether. So did those who believe not despair saying, ‘Had God willed surely He would have guided mankind altogether.’? And those who disbelieved, a sudden calamity will not cease to befall them for what they did, or it will alight close by their homes until the promise of God comes; indeed, God will not break the promise.
13:32  And certainly messengers were mocked before you, then I gave respite to those who disbelieved; then I seized them and how was My punishment?
13:33  Is then He who stands over every soul for what it has earned? And they made partners for God. Say, 'Name them. Or will you inform Him of what He does not know in the earth? Or of the apparent of the speech?' Nay, their plot is beautified to those who disbelieve, and they are hindered from the way; and whomever God causes to go astray, then there is no guide for him.
13:34  For them is punishment in the worldly life; and surely the punishment of the hereafter is more difficult, and there is no guardian for them against God.
13:35  The similitude of the Garden which those who fear God are promised, beneath it rivers flow, its fruit is enduring, and its shade. That is the consequence of those who fear; and the consequence of the disbelievers is the fire.
13:36  And those to whom We gave the Book rejoice in that which We have sent down to you; and among the parties is he who denies some of it. Say, 'I have only been commanded to serve God and to not associate partners with Him; to Him I call and to Him is my place of return.'
13:37  And thus We have sent it down, an Arabic judgment, and surely if you follow their lusts after what came to you of the knowledge, there is no patron nor guardian for you against God.
13:38  And surely, certainly We sent messengers before you, and We made for them wives and offspring; and it was not for a messenger to come with a sign except with the permission of God; for every term a book.
13:39  God blots out, and He confirms what He wills; and with Him is the mother of the Book.
13:40  And whether We show you some of what We threaten them with, or We cause you to die, so only upon you is the communication, and upon Us is the reckoning.
13:41  And did they not see that We, We come to the earth reducing it of its borders? And God judges, there is no reviser for His judgment; and He is swift in the reckoning.
13:42  And certainly those who were before them plotted; so for God is the plot altogether. He knows what every soul earns; and soon the disbelievers will know for whom the consequence of the home is.
13:43  And those who disbelieve say, 'You are not a messenger.' Say, 'God sufficed for a witness between me and you; and whoever has knowledge of the Book.'
