waqāla rajulun mu'minun min āli fir'ʿawna yaktumu īmānahu ataqtulūna rajulan an yaqūla rabbiya l-lahu waqad jāakum bil-bayināti min rabbikum wa-in yaku kādhiban faʿalayhi kadhibuhu wa-in yaku ṣādiqan yuṣib'kum baʿḍu alladhī yaʿidukum inna l-laha lā yahdī man huwa mus'rifun kadhābu
And said a man, believing, from (the) family (of) Firaun who conceal(ed) his faith, "Will you kill a man because he says, "My Lord (is) Allah," and indeed he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he is a liar, then upon him (is) his lie; and if he is truthful, (there) will strike you some (of) (that) which he threatens you. Indeed, Allah (does) not guide (one) who [he] (is) a transgressor, a liar.
At that, a believing man of Pharaoh’s family, who [until then] had concealed his faith, exclaimed: “Would you slay a man because he says, ‘God is my Sustainer’ - seeing, withal, that he has brought you all evidence of this truth from your Sustainer? Now if he be a liar, his lie will fall back on him; but if he is a man of truth, something [of the punishment] whereof he warns you is bound to befall you: for, verily, God would not grace with His guidance one who has wasted his own self by lying [about Him]
And a believing man of Pharaoh's family, who hid his faith, said: Would ye kill a man because he saith: My Lord is Allah, and hath brought you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is lying, then his lie is upon him; and if he is truthful, then some of that wherewith he threateneth you will strike you. Lo! Allah guideth not one who is a prodigal, a liar
A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies
A believing man from Pharaoh’s people, who was hiding his faith, argued, “Will you kill a man ˹only˺ for saying: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ while he has in fact come to you with clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, it will be to his own loss. But if he is truthful, then you will be afflicted with some of what he is threatening you with. Surely Allah does not guide whoever is a transgressor, a total liar.
A believing man from Pharaoh’s family, who concealed his faith, said, "Are you going to kill a man [merely] because he says, 'My Lord is God, 'when he has brought you clear signs from your Lord? If he is lying, then the consequence of his lie will be on him, but if he is truthful, then some of what he promises you will happen to you. God does not guide the blatant liars.
A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said, Would you slay a man merely because he says, My Lord is God. He has brought you clear signs from your Lord, and if he is lying, the sin of his will be on his own head; but if he is truthful, a part of that of which he warns you will surely befall you. Certainly, God does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar
And a believing man of Firon's people who hid his faith said: What! will you slay a man because he says: My Lord is Allah, and indeed he has brought to you clear arguments from your Lord? And if he be a liar, on him will be his lie, and if he be truthful, there will befall you some of that which he threatens you (with); surely Allah does not guide him who is extravagant, a liar
Said a believing man of the family of Pharaoh, who keeps back his belief: Would you kill a man because he says: My Lord is God, and he drew near you with the clear portents from your Lord? And if he be one who lies, then, on him will be his lying. And if he be one who is sincere, then, will light on you some of what he promises. Truly, God guides not him who is one who is excessive, a liar.
A man from Pharaoh´s court who was a believer and had hiding his faith said: "What, will you kill a man for merely saying: ´My Lord is God´? He has brought you explanations about your Lord. If he is a liar, then his lie falls upon himself, while if he is truthful, some of what he threatens you with will afflict you. God does not guide anyone who is a preposterous liar.
And a believer from Pharaoh’s family, who hid his faith, said: “Will you kill a man because he says: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ especially when Moses has come to you with clear signs from your Lord? If he is a liar, his sin will lie upon him; but if he is telling the truth, then some of that (calamity) which he threatens you will befall on you. Surely, Allah does not guide the one who is a polytheist, a liar!
And a believing man from the House of Pharaoh who was concealing his belief said, “Will you kill a man for saying, ‘My Lord is God,’ though he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, then his lying is to his own detriment. But if he is truthful, some of that which he promises you will befall you. Truly God guides not one who is a prodigal liar
A believing man from Pharaoh’s family, who had kept his faith hidden, said, “Would you kill a man because he says, ‘My Lord is God,’ and he brought you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is lying, his lie will be upon him, but if he’s truthful, then some of what he promises you will befall you. Surely, God doesn’t guide the extravagant liar.
A believing man from Pharaoh's family, who had concealed his faith, said, 'Are you going to kill a man for saying, `My Lord is God,' and he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, his lying will rebound upon him; but if he is truthful, then some of what he promises you will befall you. God does not guide the extravagant imposter
And a Believing male-adult out of the people of Firaun who conceals his Faith, said: “Would you people kill a male-adult just because he says: ‘my Nourisher-Sustainer is Allah'? And surely he (i.e., Musa) has approached you with Al-Bayyinat proceeding from your Nourisher-Sustainer. And if he happens to be a liar then against him is his falsehood. And if he happens to be a truthful person, then some of that (punishment) which he promises you, will reach you. Surely, Allah does not guide that who is one who breaks the limits (and is) a liar.
At this, a believer from among the relatives of Pharoah, who had kept his faith hidden, said: "Will you kill a man merely because he says: `My Lord is Allah, especially when he has brought you clear signs from your Lord? If he is lying, may his lie be on his head; but if he is speaking the truth, then some of the dreadful things he is threatening you with may very well fall on you. Surely Allah does not guide the one who is a lying transgressor
And a believing man of Firaawn's (Pharaoh) house who kept back his belief said, "Will you kill a man for that he says, ‘My Lord is Allah,&rsquo and he has come to you with the supreme evidence (s) from your Lord? And in case he is a liar, then his lying is upon himself, and in case he is sincere, some of that which he promises you will alight on you. Surely Allah does not guide him who is extravagant, a constant liar
A believing person from the people of the Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Would you kill a man just because he says God is my Lord? He has brought you illustrious miracles from your Lord. If he speaks lies, it will only harm him, but if he speaks the Truth, some of his warnings may affect you. God does not guide a transgressing liar
And said a believing man from the House of Pharaoh who had kept his faith secret, .Would you kill a man because he says – ‘Allah is my Lord‘ – while he has come to you with clear signs from your Lord? If he is a liar, his lie will fall back on himself, and if he is truthful, some of that (punishment) of which he warns you will afflict you. Indeed, Allah does not give guidance to anyone who is transgressor, a liar
Now a believing man among Pharaoh's folk who had thus far concealed his Faith, exclaimed, "Would you kill a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah', and brought you all evidence of the Truth from your Lord? If he is a liar, then his lie will fall back upon him (he will soon be exposed). But if he is a man of truth, then some of the punishment he warns you against, will certainly befall you. Verily, Allah does not guide to success any who wastes his 'Self' being a persistent liar
A man from the nation of pharaoh, who was a believer and was hiding his faith, said, "Would you kill a man just because he asserts that Allah is his Lord? He has brought you clear proofs from your Lord! Should he be a liar, let his lie be upon his conscience. But if he happens to be truthful, then you might suffer from some of the things with which he has threatened you! Indeed, Allah does not guide a liar and a transgressor!"
And a believing man from the people of Firon (Pharaoh), who had hidden his faith, said: "Will you kill a man because he says, ‘My Lord is Allah?’— When he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? And if he is a liar, (the sin of) his lie is on him: But, if he is telling the Truth, then something of the (great misfortune) about which he warns you, will fall upon you: Truly, Allah does not guide the one who sins against (Him) and lies
And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who concealed his faith said, "Do you kill a man [merely] because he says, 'My Lord is Allah ' while he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he should be lying, then upon him is [the consequence of] his lie; but if he should be truthful, there will strike you some of what he promises you. Indeed, Allah does not guide one who is a transgressor and a liar
And a believing man from among Pharaoh's people, who had concealed his belief, said: "Will you kill a man simply for saying: 'My Lord is God', and he has come to you with proofs from your Lord And if he is a liar, then his lie will be upon him, and if he is truthful, then some of what he is promising you will afflict you. Surely, God does not guide any transgressor, liar."
A secret believer from Pharaoh’s family said, ‘How can you kill a man just for saying, “My Lord is God”? He has brought you clear signs from your Lord- if he is a liar, on his own head be it- and if he is truthful, then at least some of what he has threatened will happen to you. God does not guide any rebellious, outrageous liar
And a believing man of Fir'awn 's household, hiding his belief, said: would ye slay a man because he saith: my Lord is God, and hath come upto you with evidences from your Lord? If he is a liar, then upon him will be his lie, and if he is a truth-teller, then there will befall you some of that wherewith he threateneth you; verily God guideth not one who is an extravagant and a liar
A believer from the House of Pharaoh who had kept his faith to himself, said: "Will you kill a man because he says: 'My Lord is God,' when he has brought clear signs from his Lord to you? If he is a liar his lie will recoil back on him; but in case he speaks the truth, then what he predicts will befall you. Surely God does not show the way to the shameful liar
A man among Pharaoh´s people who had iman, but kept his iman concealed, said, ´Are you going to kill a man for saying "My Lord is Allah" when he has brought you Clear Signs from your Lord? If he is telling a lie, be it on his own head. But if he is telling the truth, then some of what he is promising you will certainly happen to you. Allah does not guide any unbridled inveterate liar.
(At just that moment) a believing man from among the household of the Pharaoh, who until then had concealed his faith, (came forward and) said: "Would you kill a man only because he declares, ‘My Lord is God!’, when he has indeed come to you with clear proofs from your Lord? If he be a liar, then his lie will be (reckoned) against him; but if he is true (in his proclamations), then something of what he threatens you with will befall you. Surely God does not guide (either to truth or to any achievement) one who (transgressing all bounds) is wasteful (of his God-given faculties), and a liar
Said a man of faith from Pharaoh’s clan, who concealed his faith, ‘Will you kill a man for saying, ‘‘My Lord is Allah,’’ while he has already brought you manifest proofs from your Lord? Should he be lying, his falsehood will be to his own detriment; but if he is truthful, there shall visit you some of what he promises you. A believing man from Pharaoh’s family, who had kept his faith secret, said: “Are you going to kill a man because he says Allah is my Lord, and has come with clear signs from your Lord? If he is a liar then let it fall on his head, and if he is truthful then some of what he threatens you with will fall on you.” Allah does not guide the one who is a lying rebel.
Then a man endowed with faith, from Pharaoh´s folk, who had kept his faith hidden, said: "Do you kill a person simply because he says: ´My Lord is Allah´ even though he brought to you clear Signs from your Lord? If he is a liar, his lying will recoil upon him; but if he is truthful, you will be smitten with some of the awesome consequences of which he warns you. Allah does not guide to the Right Way any who exceeds the limits and is an utter liar
And a believing man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his belief, said: "Will you kill a man simply for saying: 'My Lord is God', and he has come to you with proofs from your Lord? And if he is a liar, then his lie will be upon him, and if he is truthful, then some of what he is promising you will afflict you. For God does not guide any transgressor, liar.
And a believing man of Pharaoh's family, who concealed his faith, said, "Would you kill a man because he says, `My Lord is Allah,' and has brought you clear evidences from your Lord? If he is lying, he will himself suffer therefor; and if he is truthful, then something of what he warns you of will strike you. Allah does indeed guide not one who is a lying transgressor."
And a Muslim from amongst the people of Firawn who used to hide his faith said, 'Do you slay a man because he says, 'my Lord is Allah', and undoubtedly he has brought to you bright signs from your Lord?' And if he says wrong then the curse of his lie is upon him; but if he is truthful then some of that which he promises you with shall befall you. Undoubtedly Allah gives not the way to him who is transgressor and a big liar.
A believing man among Pharaoh's people, who was concealing his belief, said, "How can you kill a man just for saying, `My Lord is GOD,' and he has shown you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, that is his problem, and if he is truthful, you benefit from his promises. Surely, GOD does not guide any transgressor, liar.
But one of Pharaoh's people, who was in secret a believer, asked: 'Would you kill a man because he says: "My Lord is Allah?" He has brought you clear signs from your Lord. If he is lying, let his lie be on his head, but, if he is speaking the truth then at least a part of what he promises will befall you. Allah does not guide the lying sinner
And a believing man of Pharaoh’s people, who hid his faith, said: Will you slay a man because he says, My Lord is Allah, and indeed he has brought you clear arguments from your Lord? And if he be a liar, on him will be his lie, and if he be truthful, there will befall you some of that which he threatens you with. Surely Allah guides not one who is a prodigal, a liar
And a man believing from Pharaoh's family, he hides/conceals his faith/belief said: "Do you kill a man that (E) he says, my Lord is God? And he had come to you with the evidences from your Lord, and if he be a liar/falsifier so on him his lies/defiance/falsification, and if he be truthful, some of which he promises you strikes you ,that truly God does not guide who he is (a) waster/extravagator , liar/denier/falsifier."
At this time a believing man among Pharaoh’s people (who had kept his faith hidden) spoke out and said: “How can you kill a man just for saying that there is only One God? If in spite of all his outstanding miracles you regard him as a liar, then leave him alone [you do not kill someone in account of his belief]. If, on the other hand, he is truthful, then take advantage of his guidance. Know that if you go beyond the boundaries of justice [and kill Moses], God will never guide you kind of people
And said a Muslim man from the people of Firaun, who used to hide his faith, “What! You want to kill a man just because he says, ‘Allah is my Lord’ whereas he has indeed brought clear signs to you from your Lord? And supposedly if he is speaking wrongly, then the calamity of wrongful speech is upon him; and if he is truthful, then part of what he promises you will reach you; indeed Allah does not guide any transgressor, excessive liar.”
And a believing man from among the people of Pharaoh, who kept hidden his faith, said, `Will you slay a man because he says, `My Lord is ALLAH,' while he has also brought you clear proofs from your Lord? And if he be a liar, on him will be the sin of his lie; but if he is truthful, then some of that which he threatens you with will, surely, befall you. Certainly, ALLAH guides not one who exceeds the bounds and is a great liar;
And a believing man amongst the people of Pharaoh who had kept his faith secret said, ‘Do you kill a man (just) because he says: Allah is my Lord? And he has brought you clear signs from your Lord. And (suppose) if he is a liar, then the burden of his lie will fall back on him alone, but if he is truthful, then as much torment is bound to seize you as he has promised you. Surely, Allah does not give guidance to someone who exceeds limits and is a downright liar
And a man who was a believer and belonged to the people of Pharaoh (and) kept his faith hidden said, `Are you bent upon killing a man simply because he says, "Allah alone is my Lord," while he has already brought you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar he will suffer (the sad consequences of) his lie, and if he is truthful then some of the things he threatens you with are sure to befall you. Indeed, Allah does not guide (to success) the person who exceeds the bounds and is a great liar
And a believing man of Firauns (Pharaoh) family, who hid his faith said: "Would you kill a man because he says: My Lord is Allah, and he has come to you with clear signs (proofs) from your Lord? And if he is a liar, upon him will be (the sin of) his lie; but if he is telling the truth, then some of that (calamity) wherewith he threatens you will befall on you." Verily, Allah guides not one who is a Musrif (a polytheist, or a murderer who shed blood without a right, or those who commit great sins, oppressor, transgressor), a liar
Then said a certain man, a believer 'of Pharaoh's folk that kept hidden his belief, 'What, will you slay a man because he says, "My Lord is God," yet he has brought you the clear signs from your Lord? If he is a liar, his lying is upon his own head; but if he is truthful, somewhat of that he promises you will smite you. Surely God guides not him who is prodigal and a liar
And a man who was a true believer, of the family of Pharaoh, and concealed in his faith, said, will ye put a man to death, because he saith, God is my Lord; seeing he is come unto you with evident signs from your Lord? If he be a liar, on him will the punishment of his falsehood light; but if he speaketh the truth, some of those judgments with which he threateneth you, will fall upon you: Verily God directeth not him who is a transgressor, or a liar
And a believing man of Pharaoh's people, who concealed his faith, said, 'Will ye kill a man for saying, My Lord is God, when he has come to you with manifest signs from your Lord? and if he be a liar, against him is his lie; and if he be truthful, there will befall you somewhat of that which he threatens you; verily, God guides not him who is an extravagant liar
And a man of the family of Pharaoh, who was a BELIEVER, but hid his faith, said, "Will ye slay a man because he saith my Lord is God, when he hath already come to you with proofs of his mission from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him will be his lie: but if he be a man of truth, part at least of what he threateneth will fall upon you. Truly God guideth not him who is a transgressor, a liar
And one of Pharaoh‘s kin, who in secret was a true believer, said: ‘Would you kill a man merely because he says: "My Lord is God"? He has brought you veritable signs from your Lord. If he is lying, may his lie be on his head; but if he is speaking the truth, some of what he threatens you with will smite you. God does not guide a lying transgressor
And a man from family of Pharaoh who was a believer and hid his belief said, “Are you going to kill a person because he says my Lord is Allah and he has come to you with clear signs from your Lord? And if he is a liar, his lie is only against him but if he is truthful some of the things which he has promised you will come upon you, for truly Allah guides not anyone who is wasteful, full of lies.
A monotheistic believer from the clan of Pharaoh who hid his faith said: "Do you kill a man just because he says Allâh is my Lord? He has come to you with Irrefutable Signs from your Lord. However, if it happens that he is a liar, upon him will be his lie, and if he is truthful, there will befall you some of that which he threatens you with. Most surely Allâh holds back the light of His inspiration from the one who is a prodigal and liar.
And a believing man from the family of Pharaoh who had hidden his belief said: are you going to kill a man for saying ´my Lord is Allah´ whilst he has already brought you clear proofs from his Lord? And if he is a liar, then his lie is upon him, and if he is truthful, some of what he has promised you will afflict you, for Allah does not guide whoever is an exaggerating liar.
A believing man from among the family of Pharaoh had concealed his faith. He said, “Will you kill a man because he says, ‘My Lord is Allah,’ when he had come to you with evidence from your Lord? If he is a liar, he is accountable for his lie. If he is telling the truth, then you will get something of that about which he warns you. Truly, Allah does not guide a sinner who lies.
And a believing man from Pharaoh's folk who had concealed his faith said, “Do youpl kill a man for saying, ‘My Lord is Allah,’ and he has come to you with evident proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, then his lying is upon him. But if he is truthful, then some of what he promises you will befall you; indeed, Allah does not guide anyone who is an extremist, a sheer liar.
A man from Pharaoh's court who was a believer and had hiding his faith said: "What, will you kill a man for merely saying: 'My Lord is Allah (God)'? He has brought you explanations about your Lord. A man from among the family of Pharaoh who had believed, but not revealed it until that time, said, “Are you killing a man simply because he says ‘My Rabb is Allah’ when he has come to you with clear proofs from your Rabb? If he is lying, his lies are against him... But if he is telling the truth, the suffering of which he warns you will afflict you! Indeed, Allah does not guide those who squander (their resources within their essence) and who lie.”
And a believing man from among Firawn’s people who had kept his belief a secret, said, “Do you kill a man ( just ) because he says: My Fosterer is Allah and he has come to you with clear proofs from your Fosterer? And if he is a liar then on him will be ( the responsibility of ) his lie, but if he is truthful, then something of that which he is threatening you ( with ), will afflict you. Allah certainly does not guide him who is extravagant, a liar.
And there said a man of pharaonic parents, whose heart had been impressed with the image of religious and spiritual virtues but had hidden his faith: Will you slay a man just because he says "The One object of supreme adoration and the end and the purpose for which I am destined is Allah, my Creator. And he has already bought you clear evidence demonstrating Allah's Omnipotence and Authority and brings you to your senses! And if he happens to be lying and conveying a false impression he will only much hurt himself and his interest and the fault will be at his own door But if what he says is in conformity with truth and in agreement with reality then you shall be wed to some of the calamities he has promised you anal you will have brought suffering upon yourselves". Allah certainly does not guide to His path of righteousness any one who goes beyond just and prescribed limits and lies in his teeth
And a believing man of Pharaoh's people, who concealed his faith, said, 'Will you kill a man for saying, "My Lord is God," and indeed he has come to you with the clear proofs from your Lord? And if he is a liar, then upon him is his lie; and if he is truthful, there will befall you some of that which he threatens you; indeed, God does not guide him who is an extravagant liar.
A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is God'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (th e sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly God guides not one who transgresses and lies
