General Root Meaning
to return, turn away, come back, repeat, restore. aidun - one who returns. ma'adun - place where one returns, another name of Makkah. a'ada (vb. 4) - to cause to return, restore. The verb a'ada is transitive to mean to get some one return or cause to return or bring back (what has passed away).

'Udnaa (prf. 1st. plu.): We returned.

Yu'iidu (imp. 3rd. m. sing. IV): They shall repeat, return.
Yu'iiduu (final Nun dropped): They restore, make (you) revert to.
Nu'iidu (imp. 1st. plu.): We restore; We will make you return.
'Uiiduu (pip. 3rd. m. plu. IV): They will be hurled back.
A'iiduuna (act. pic. m. plu.): Those who return.
Ma'aadun (n.): Place of return; Home.

32:20
But as for those who are defiantly disobedient then their refuge (is) the Fire. Every time they wish to come out from it, they (will) be returned in it, and it (will) be said to them, "Taste (the) punishment (of) the Fire which you used (to) [in it] deny."

22:22
Every time they want to come out from it from anguish, they will be returned therein, "Taste (the) punishment (of) the Burning Fire!"

If you ask for victory then certainly has come to you the victory. And if you desist, then it (is) good for you, but if you return, We will return (too). And never will avail you your forces anything, even if (they are) numerous. And that Allah (is) with the believers.

O you who believe! (Do) not kill the game while you (are in) Ihram. And whoever killed it among you intentionally, then penalty (is) similar (to) what he killed of the cattle, judging it two men, just, among you (as) an offering reaching the Kabah or an expiation - feeding needy people or equivalent (of) that (in) fasting, that he may taste (the) consequence (of) his deed. pardoned Allah what (has) passed, but whoever returned, then will take retribution Allah from him. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, Owner (of) Retribution.

Allah originates the creation, then He repeats it, then to Him you will be returned.
