General Root Meaning
To restrain from, exercise authority, command, give judgment, judge, be wise. To restrain/prevent/withhold a person from acting in an evil or corrupt manner, to judge or give judgement, pass sentence, decide judicially, exercise judicial authority/jurisdiction/rule/dominion/government, order or ordain or decree a thing, to be wise, to be sound in judgement, possess knowledge or science and wisdom, render a thing firm/stable/sound/free from defect or imperfection by the exercise of skill.

And that you judge between them by what (has) revealed Allah and (do) not follow their vain desires and beware of them lest they tempt you away from some (of) what has revealed Allah to you. And if they turn away then know that only intends Allah to afflict them for some (of) their sins. And indeed, many of the people (are) defiantly disobedient.

And if (there) is a group among you (who has) believed in that which I have been sent with [it], and a group not they believe, then be patient until judges Allah between us. And He (is the) Best (of) [the] Judges."

And follow what is revealed to you and be patient until gives judgment Allah. And He (is) the Best (of) the Judges.

And called Nuh (to) his Lord and said, "O my Lord! Indeed, my son (is) of my family, and indeed, Your promise (is) true, and You (are) the Most Just (of) the judges."

So when they despaired of him, they secluded themselves (in) private consultation. Said the eldest among them, "Do not you know that your father, indeed has taken upon you a promise by Allah, and from before that you failed concerning Yusuf? Say, "Indeed, I (am) on clear proof from my Lord, while you deny [with] it. Not I have what you seek to hasten of it. Not (is) the decision except for Allah. He relates the truth, and He (is the) best (of) the Deciders."

12:67
And he said, "O my sons! (Do) not enter from gate one, but enter from gates different. And not I can avail you against Allah any thing. Not (is) the decision except with Allah, upon Him I put my trust and upon Him, let put (their) trust the ones who put trust."

And He (is) Allah; (there is) no god but He. To Him (are due) all praises in the first and the last. And for Him (is) the Decision, and to Him you will be returned.

And (do) not invoke with Allah god other. (There is) no god except Him. Every thing (will be) destroyed except His Face. To Him (is) the Decision, and to Him you will be returned.

And he raised his parents upon the throne and they fell down to him prostrate. And he said, "O my father! This (is the) interpretation (of) my dream, from before. Verily, has made it my Lord true. And indeed, He was good to me when He took me out of the prison, and brought you from the bedouin life from after [that] had caused discord the Shaitaan between me and between my brothers. And not We sent any Messenger except with the language (of) his people so that he might make clear for them. Then lets go astray Allah whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And He (is) the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Our Lord! And admit them (to) Gardens (of) Eden which You have promised them and whoever (was) righteous among their fathers and their spouses and their offspring. Indeed You, You (are) the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

And if you know them (to be) believers, then (do) not return them to the disbelievers. Not they (are) lawful for them and not they are lawful for them. But give them what they have spent. And not any blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their (bridal) dues. And (do) not hold to marriage bonds (with) disbelieving women, but ask (for) what you have spent, and let them ask what they have spent. That (is the) Judgment (of) Allah. He judges between you. "Then is (it) other than Allah I seek (as) judge, while He (is) the One Who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?" And those (to) whom We gave them the Book, they know that it (is) sent down from your Lord in truth, so (do) not be among the ones who doubt.

And if you fear a dissension between (the) two of them, then send an arbitrator from his family and an arbitrator from her family. If they both wish reconciliation, will cause reconciliation Allah between both of them. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware.

And thus We have revealed it (to be) a judgment of authorit (in) Arabic. And if you follow their desires after what came to you of the knowledge, not for you against Allah any protector and not defender.

And (to) Lut We gave him judgment and knowledge, and We saved him from the town which was doing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people evil, defiantly disobedient.

And will say their friends among the men, "Our Lord profited some of us by others, and we have reached our term which You appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire (is) your abode, will abide forever in it, except (for) what wills Allah Indeed, your Lord (is) All-Wise, All-Knowing.

And they say, "What (is) in (the) wombs (of) these cattle (is) exclusively for our males and forbidden on our spouses. But if is (born) dead, then they (all) in it (are) partners." He will recompense them (for) their attribution. Indeed, He (is) All-Wise, All-Knowing.

And indeed, your Lord, He will gather them. Indeed, He (is) All-Wise, All-Knowing.

Then if you slip from after [what] came to you (from) the clear proofs, then know that Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Concerning the world and the Hereafter. They ask you about the orphans. Say, "Setting right (their affairs) for them (is) best. And if you associate with them then they (are) your brothers. And Allah knows the corrupter from the amender. And if (had) willed Allah surely He (could have) put you Indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise."

And the women who are divorced shall wait concerning themselves (for) three monthly periods. And (it is) not lawful for them that they conceal what (has been) created (by) Allah in their wombs, if they believe in Allah and the Day [the] Last. And their husbands (have) better right to take them back in that (period) if they wish (for) reconciliation. And for them (is the) like (of) that which (is) on them in a reasonable manner, and for the men over them (is) a degree. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

And those who die among you and leave behind (their) wives (should make) a will for their wives, provision for the year without driving (them) out. But if they leave then no blame upon you in what they do concerning themselves [of] honorably. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

And when said Ibrahim, "My Lord show me how You give life (to) the dead." He said, "Have not you believed?" He said, "Yes [and] but to satisfy my heart." He said "Then take four of the birds and incline them towards you, then put on each hill of them a portion; then call them, they will come to you (in) haste. And know that Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

wishes Allah to make clear to you and to guide you (to) ways (of) those from before you and (to) accept repentance from you. And Allah (is) All-Knowing, All-Wise.

5:38
And (for) the male thief and the female thief - [then] cut off their hands (as) a recompense for what they earned (as) an exemplary (punishment) from Allah. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8:10
And not made it Allah but good tidings and so that might be at rest with it your hearts. And (there is) no [the] victory except from (of) Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8:49
When said the hypocrites and those who - in their hearts (was) a disease, "(Had) deluded these (people) their religion." But whoever puts (his) trust in Allah then indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise."

8:63
And He (has) put affection between their hearts. If you (had) spent whatever (is) in the earth all not you could (have) put affection between their hearts, but Allah (has) put affection between them. Indeed, He (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8:67
Not is for a Prophet that (there) should be for him prisoners of war until he has battled strenuously in the land. You desire (the) commodities (of) the world, but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8:71
But if they intend (to) betray you certainly they have betrayed Allah from before. So He gave (you) power over them. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

9:15
And remove (the) anger (of) their hearts. And accepts repentance Allah of whom He wills. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

9:28
O you who believe! Indeed, the polytheists (are) unclean, so not let them come near Al-Masjid Al-Haraam after their year (final) this And if you fear poverty, then soon will enrich you Allah from His Bounty, if He wills. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

9:40
If not you help him, certainly, helped him Allah when drove him out those who disbelieved, the second (of) the two, when they both (were) in the cave, when he said to his companion, "(Do) not grieve, indeed, Allah (is) with us." Then sent down Allah His tranquility upon him, and supported him with forces not which you did see, and made (the) word (of) those who disbelieved the lowest, while (the) Word (of) Allah it (is) the highest. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

9:60
Only the charities (are) for the poor, and the needy and those who collect them, and the ones inclined their hearts, and in the (freeing of) the necks, and for those in debt and in (the) way (of) Allah, and the wayfarer - an obligation from Allah. And Allah (is) All-Knowing, All-Wise.

9:71
And the believing men and the believing women, some of them (are) allies (of) others. They enjoin the right, and forbid from the wrong, and they establish the prayer and give the zakah, and they obey Allah and His Messenger. Those, will have mercy on them. Allah Indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

9:97
The bedouins (are) stronger (in) disbelief and hypocrisy, and more likely that not they know (the) limits (of) what (has) revealed Allah to His Messenger. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

9:106
And others deferred for the Command (of) Allah- whether He will punish them or He will turn (in mercy) to them. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

9:110
Not (will) cease their building which they built a (cause of) doubt in their hearts except that (are) cut into pieces their hearts. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

12:6
And thus will choose you your Lord and will teach you of (the) interpretation (of) the narratives and complete His Favor on you and on (the) family (of) Yaqub as He completed it on your two forefathers from before - Ibrahim and Ishaq. Indeed, your Lord (is) All-Knower, All-Wise."

And not We sent from before you any Messenger and not a Prophet but when he recited, threw the Shaitaan in his recitation. But abolishes Allah what throws the Shaitaan, then will establish Allah His Verses. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

And if not (for) the Grace (of) Allah upon you and His Mercy - and that, Allah (is) Oft-Returning (to Mercy), All-Wise.

Thus makes clear Allah for you the Verses, and Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

And when reach the children among you the puberty then let them ask permission as asked permission those who (were) from (were) before them. Thus makes clear Allah for you His Verses. And Allah (is) All-Knower All-Wise.

31:27
And if whatever (is) in the earth of (the) trees (were) pens and the sea, (to) add to it from after it seven seas, not would be exhausted (the) Words (of) Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

49:8
A Bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

60:10

But if not is for him any child and inherit[ed] him his parents, then for his mother (is) one third. And if are for him brothers and sisters, then for his mother (is) the sixth from after any will he has made [of which] or any debt. Your parents and your children - not you know which of them (is) nearer to you (in) benefit. An obligation from Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

4:17
Only the acceptance of repentance by Allah (is) for those who do the evil in ignorance, then they repent from soon after. Then those will have forgiveness (from) Allah upon them, and is Allah All-Knowing, All-Wise.

4:24
And (prohibited are) the ones of the women except whom you possess rightfully. Decree (of) Allah upon you. And are lawful to you what (is) beyond that; that you seek with your wealth desiring to be chaste not (to be) lustful. So what you benefit[ed] of it from them, so you give them their bridal due (as) an obligation. And (there is) no sin on you concerning what you mutually agree of it from beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

4:56
Indeed, those who disbelieved in Our Signs, soon We will burn them (in) a Fire. Every time are roasted their skins We will change their skins for other (than) that, so that they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

4:92
And not is for a believer that he kills a believer except (by) mistake. And whoever killed a believer (by) mistake, then freeing (of) a slave believing and blood money (is to be) paid to his family unless that they remit (as) charity. But if (he) was from a people hostile to you and he was a believer then freeing (of) a slave believing. And if (he) was from a people between you and between them, (is) a treaty, then blood money (is to be) paid to his family, and freeing (of) a slave believing. And whoever (does) not find, then fasting (for) two months consecutively, (seeking) repentance from Allah, and is Allah All-Knowing, All-Wise.

4:104
And (do) not be weak in pursuit (of) the people. If you are suffering, then indeed, they are (also) suffering like what you are suffering, while you (have) hope from Allah what not they hope. And is Allah All-Knowing, All-Wise.

4:111
And whoever earns sin, then only he earns it against his soul. And is Allah All-Knowing, All-Wise.

4:130
And if they separate, will enrich Allah each (of them) from His abundance, and is Allah All-Encompassing, All-Wise.

4:158
Nay, raised him Allah towards Him. And is Allah All-Mighty, All-Wise.

4:165
Messengers, bearers of glad tidings and warners, so that not there is for the mankind against Allah any argument after the Messengers. And is Allah All-Mighty, All-Wise.

4:170
O mankind! Surely has come to you the Messenger with the truth from your Lord so believe, (it is) better for you. But if you disbelieve, then indeed, to Allah (belongs) whatever (is) in the heavens and the earth. And is Allah All-Knowing, All-Wise.

33:1
O Prophet! Fear Allah and (do) not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.

48:4
He (is) the One Who sent down [the] tranquility in(to) (the) hearts (of) the believers that they may increase (in) faith with their faith. And for Allah (are the) hosts (of) the heavens and the earth, and that Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

Then to Me (is) your return and I will judge between you about what you were [in it] differing.

And We revealed to you the Book in [the] truth, confirming what (was) between his hands of the Book and a guardian over it. So judge between them by what has revealed Allah, and (do) not follow their vain desires when has come to you of the truth. For each We have made for you a law and a clear way. And if (had) willed Allah He (would have) made you a community one, [and] but to test you in what He (has) given you, so race (to) the good. To Allah you will return all. then He will inform you of what you were concerning it differing.

38:22
When they entered upon Dawood and he was afraid of them, they said, "(Do) not fear. (We are) two litigants, has wronged one of us to another, so judge between us in truth and (do) not be unjust and guide us to an even [the] path.

38:26
"O Dawood! Indeed, We [We] have made you a vicegerent in the earth, so judge between [the] men in truth and (do) not follow the desire, for it will lead you astray from (the) way (of) Allah. Indeed, those who go astray from (the) way (of) Allah, for them (is) a punishment severe because they forgot (the) Day (of) Account."

Listeners to [the] falsehood, devourers of the forbidden. So if they come to you then judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them, then never will they harm you (in) anything. And if you judge, then judge between them with [the] justice. Indeed, Allah loves the ones who are just.

And (did) not differ[ed] in it except those who were given it from after [what] came to them the clear proofs, (out of) jealousy among themselves. And guided Allah those who believe[d] regarding what they differed [in it] of the Truth with His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a path straight.

And when they are called to Allah and His Messenger, to judge between them, behold, a party of them (is) averse.

Only is (the) statement (of) the believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them (is) that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those [they] (are) the successful.

He (is) the One Who revealed to you the Book, of it (are) Verses absolutely clear - they (are) the foundation (of) the Book, and others (are) allegorical. Then as for those in their hearts (is) perversity - [so] they follow what (is) allegorical of it, seeking [the] discord and seeking its interpretation. And not knows its interpretation except Allah. And those firm in [the] knowledge, they say, "We believe in it. All (is) from our Lord." And not will take heed except men (of) understanding.

And say those who believe, "Why not has been revealed a Surah?" But when is revealed a Surah precise and is mentioned in it the fighting, you see those who, in their hearts, (is) a disease looking at you - a look (of) fainting over them from the death. But more appropriate for them

Those - (are) ones whom We gave them the Book and the judgment and the Prophethood. But if disbelieve in it these, then indeed, We have entrusted it (to) a people who are not therein disbelievers.

Not is for a human that gives him Allah the Book, and the wisdom, and the Prophethood, then he says to the people, "Be worshippers of me from besides Allah, but (would say) "Be worshippers of the Lord because you have been teaching the Book and because you have been studying (it)."

45:16
And certainly, We gave (the) Children (of) Israel the Book and the wisdom and the Prophethood, and We provided them of the good things and We preferred them over the worlds.

And if not (for the) Grace of Allah upon you and His Mercy - surely (had) resolved a group of them to mislead you. But not they mislead except themselves, and not they will harm you (in) anything. And has sent down Allah to you the Book and [the] Wisdom and taught you what not you did know. And is (the) Grace (of) Allah upon you great.

Our Lord! [And] raise up in them a Messenger from them (who) will recite to them Your Verses and will teach them the Book and the wisdom and purify them. Indeed You! You (are) the All-Mighty the All-Wise."

As We sent among you a Messenger from you (who) recites to you Our verses and purifies you and teaches you the Book and the wisdom and teaches you what not you were knowing.

So they defeated them by (the) permission (of) Allah, and killed Dawood Jalut, and gave him Allah the kingdom and the wisdom and taught him that which He willed. And if not (for the) repelling (by) Allah, [the] people - some of them with others, certainly (would have) corrupt the Earth, [and] but Allah (is) Possessor (of) bounty to the worlds.

3:164
Certainly bestowed a Favor Allah upon the believers as He raised among them a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His Verses and purifying them, and teaching them the Book and the wisdom, although they were from before (that) certainly in (the) error clear.

5:110
When said Allah, "O Isa, son (of) Maryam! Remember My Favor upon you and upon your mother when I strengthened you with (the) Spirit, the Holy, you spoke (to) the people in the cradle and (in) maturity. And when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Taurat and the Injeel; and when you make from the clay like the shape (of) the bird by My permission then you breath into it and it becomes a bird by My permission, and you heal the born blind and the leper by My permission, and when you bring forth the dead by My permission. And when I restrained (the) Children (of) Israel from you when you came to them with the clear proofs then said those who disbelieved among them "Not this but magic, clear."

62:2
He (is) the One Who sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His Verses, and purifying them and teaching them the Book and the wisdom although they were from before surely in an error clear.

And when you divorce the women and they reach their (waiting) term, then retain them in a fair manner or release them in a fair manner. And (do) not retain them (to) hurt so that you transgress. And whoever does that, then indeed, he wronged himself. And (do) not take (the) Verses (of) Allah (in) jest, and remember (the) Favors (of) Allah upon you and what (is) revealed to you of the Book and [the] wisdom; He instructs you with it. And fear Allah and know that Allah (is) of every thing All-Knower.

33:34
And remember what is recited in your houses of (the) Verses (of) Allah and the wisdom. Indeed, Allah is All-Subtle, All-Aware.

And if you fear a dissension between (the) two of them, then send an arbitrator from his family and an arbitrator from her family. If they both wish reconciliation, will cause reconciliation Allah between both of them. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware.

And when took Allah covenant (of) the Prophets, "Certainly, whatever I (have) given you of (the) Book and wisdom then comes to you a Messenger confirming that which (is) with you, you must believe in him and you must help him." He said, "Do you affirm and take on that (condition) My Covenant?" They said, "We affirm." He said, "Then bear witness, and I (am) with you among the witnesses."

And let judge (the) People (of) the Injeel by what has revealed Allah in it. And whoever (does) not judge by what revealed Allah then those [they] (are) the defiantly disobedient.

Do not you see [towards] those who claim that they believe in what (is) revealed to you and what was revealed from before you? They wish to go for judgment to the false deities and surely they were ordered to reject [with] it. And wishes the Shaitaan to mislead them astray - far away.

But no, by your Lord, not they will believe until they make you judge about what arises between them, then not they find in themselves any discomfort about what you (have) decided and submit (in full) submission.

Said the eldest among them, "Do not you know that your father, indeed has taken upon you a promise by Allah, and from before that you failed concerning Yusuf? And follow what is revealed to you and be patient until gives judgment Allah. And He (is) the Best (of) the Judges.

And if (there) is a group among you (who has) believed in that which I have been sent with [it], and a group not they believe, then be patient until judges Allah between us. And He (is the) Best (of) [the] Judges."

O you who believe! Fulfil the contracts. Are made lawful for you the quadruped (of) the grazing livestock except what is recited on you, not being permitted (to) hunt while you (are in) Ihram. Indeed, Allah decrees what He wills.

O you who believe! When come to you the believing women (as) emigrants, then examine them. Allah (is) most knowing of their faith. And if you know them (to be) believers, then (do) not return them to the disbelievers. Not they (are) lawful for them and not they are lawful for them. But give them what they have spent. And not any blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their (bridal) dues. And (do) not hold to marriage bonds (with) disbelieving women, but ask (for) what you have spent, and let them ask what they have spent. That (is the) Judgment (of) Allah. He judges between you. And Allah (is) All-Knowing, All-Wise.

22:56
The Sovereignty (on) that Day (will be) for Allah, He will judge between them. So those who believe and did righteous deeds (will be) in Gardens (of) Delight.

5:44
Indeed, We revealed the Taurat in it (was) Guidance and light; judged by it the Prophets, those who had submitted (to Allah) for those who were Jews, and the Rabbis, and the scholars, with what they were entrusted of (the) Book (of) Allah and they were to it witnesses. So (do) not fear the people but fear Me, and (do) not sell My Verses (for) a price, little. And whoever (does) not judge by what has revealed Allah, then those [they] (are) the disbelievers.

O you who believe! (Do) not kill the game while you (are in) Ihram. And whoever killed it among you intentionally, then penalty (is) similar (to) what he killed of the cattle, judging it two men, just, among you (as) an offering reaching the Kabah or an expiation - feeding needy people or equivalent (of) that (in) fasting, that he may taste (the) consequence (of) his deed. pardoned Allah what (has) passed, but whoever returned, then will take retribution Allah from him. And Allah (is) All-Mighty, Owner (of) Retribution.

2:113
And said the Jews, "Not the Christians (are) on anything," and said the Christians, "Not the Jews (are) on anything," although they recite the Book. Like that said those who (do) not know, similar their saying. [So] Allah will judge between them (on the) Day (of) Resurrection in what they were [in it] differing.

4:141
Those who are waiting for you. Then if was for you a victory from Allah they say, "Were not we with you?" But if (there) was for the disbelievers a chance they said, "Did not we have advantage over you and we protected you from the believers?" And Allah will judge between you (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection, and never will make Allah for the disbelievers over the believers a way.

22:69
Allah will judge between you (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection, concerning what you used (to) in it differ."

39:3
Unquestionably, for Allah (is) the religion the pure. And those who take from besides Him protectors, "Not we worship them except that they may bring us near to Allah (in) nearness." Indeed, Allah will judge between them in what they [in it] differ. Indeed, Allah (does) not guide (one) who [he] (is) a liar and a disbeliever.

And We ordained for them in it that - the life for the life, and the eye for the eye, and the nose for the nose, and the ear for the ear, and the tooth for the tooth, and (for) wounds (is) retribution. But whoever gives charity with it, then it is an expiation for him. And whoever (does) not judge by what has revealed Allah, then those [they] (are) the wrongdoers.

5:47
And let judge (the) People (of) the Injeel by what has revealed Allah in it. And whoever (does) not judge by what revealed Allah then those [they] (are) the defiantly disobedient.

And not We sent from before you any Messenger and not a Prophet but when he recited, threw the Shaitaan in his recitation. But abolishes Allah what throws the Shaitaan, then will establish Allah His Verses. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

And they assign to Allah out of what He produced of the crops and the cattle a share and they say, "This (is) for Allah," by their claim, "And this (is) for our partners." But what is for their partners (does) not reach [to] Allah, while what is for Allah then it reaches [to] their partners. Evil (is) what they judge.

29:4
Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outrun Us. Evil is what they judge.

45:21
Do think those who commit evil deeds that We will make them like those who believed and did righteous deeds equal (in) their life and their death? Evil is what they judge!
