General Root Meaning
To fear, to be afraid/frightened/terrified, to put fear into another, diminish or lessen or take from, to take little by little from a thing, take from the sides of a thing, slaughter or fight.

6:80
And argued with him his people. He said, "Do you argue with me concerning Allah while certainly He has guided me? And not (do) I fear what you associate with Him, unless [that] wills (my) Lord anything. Encompasses my Lord every thing (in) knowledge. Then will not you take heed?

6:15
Say, "Indeed, I [I] fear if I disobeyed my Lord, punishment (of) a Day Mighty."

7:59
Certainly, We sent Nuh to his people and he said, "O my people! Worship Allah, not for you any god other than Him. Indeed, I [I] fear for you punishment (of the) Day Great."

And when made fair-seeming to them the Shaitaan their deeds and he said, "No (one) (can) overcome [to] you today from the people and indeed, I am a neighbor for you." But when came in sight the two forces he turned away on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am free of you. Indeed, I see what not (do) you see, indeed, I [I] fear Allah. And Allah (is) severe (in) the penalty."

And when are recited to them Our Verses (as) clear proofs said those who (do) not hope (for the) meeting (with) Us, "Bring us a Quran other (than) this or change it." Say, "Not (it) is for me that I change it of accord my own Not I follow except what is revealed to me. Indeed, I [I] fear if I were to disobey my Lord, (the) punishment (of) a Day Great."

That (do) not worship except Allah. Indeed, I [I] fear for you (the) punishment (of) a Day painful."

O my father! Indeed, I [I] fear that will touch you a punishment from the Most Gracious, so you would be to the Shaitaan a friend."

He said, "My Lord! Indeed, I [I] fear that they will deny me.

If you stretch towards me your hand to kill me, not I will stretch my hand towards you to kill you, indeed I fear Allah (the) Lord (of) the worlds."

And that "Seek forgiveness (of) your Lord and turn in repentance to Him, He will let you enjoy a good for a term appointed. And give (to) every owner (of) grace His Grace. But if you turn away then indeed, I fear for you (the) punishment (of) a Day Great.

11:84
And to Madyan, their brother Shuaib. He said, "O my people! Worship Allah not (is) for you any god other than Him. And (do) not decrease (from) the measure and the scale. Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but indeed, I fear for you punishment (of) a Day all-encompassing.

28:34
And my brother Harun, he (is) more eloquent than me (in) speech, so send him with me (as) a helper, who will confirm me. Indeed, I fear that they will deny me."

Like (the) example (of) the Shaitaan, when he says to man, "Disbelieve." But when he disbelieves, he says, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, [I] I fear Allah, (the) Lord (of) the worlds."

But if they (had) referred it to the Messenger and to those (having) authority among them, surely would have known it those who draw correct conclusion (from) among them. Certainly, has fulfilled Allah His Messenger's vision in truth. Surely, you will enter Al-Masjid Al-Haraam if wills Allah, secure, having shaved your heads and shortened, not fearing. But He knew what not you knew, and He made from besides that a victory near.

4:34
[The] men (are) protectors of the women because (has) bestowed Allah some of them over others and because they spend from their wealth. So the righteous women (are) obedient, guarding in the unseen that which (orders) them to guard (by) Allah. And those (from) whom you fear their ill-conduct then advise them, and forsake them in the bed and [finally] strike them. Then if they obey you then (do) not seek against them a way. Indeed, Allah is Most High, Most Great.

6:81
And how could I fear what you associate (with Allah) while not you fear that you have associated with Allah what Not he did send down for it to you any authority. So which (of) the two parties has more right to security if you know?"

And [that] throw your staff." But when he saw it moving as if it (were) a snake he turned (in) flight and (did) not return. "O Musa! Draw near and (do) not fear. Indeed, you (are) of the secure.

And when [that] came Our messengers (to) Lut he was distressed for them, and felt straitened for them (and) uneasy. And they said, "(Do) not fear and (do) not grieve. Indeed, we (will) save you and your family, except your wife. She (is) of those who remain behind.

38:22
When they entered upon Dawood and he was afraid of them, they said, "(Do) not fear. (We are) two litigants, has wronged one of us to another, so judge between us in truth and (do) not be unjust and guide us to an even [the] path.

Then he felt from them a fear. They said, "(Do) not fear," and they gave him glad tidings of a son learned.

And who (is) more unjust than (one) who prevents (the) masajid (of) Allah to be mentioned in them His name, and strives for their destruction? Those! Not it is for them that they enter them except (like) those in fear. For them in the world (is) disgrace and for them in the Hereafter (is) a punishment great.

Indeed, in that (is) surely a Sign for (those) who fear (the) punishment (of) the Hereafter. That (is) a Day (will) be gathered on it the mankind, and that (is) a Day witnessed.

And if you fear then (pray) on foot or riding. Then when you are secure then remember Allah as He (has) taught you what not you were knowing.

And if you fear that not you will be able to do justice with the orphans, then marry what seems suitable to you from the women two, or three, or four. And when you travel in the earth then not upon you (is) any blame that you shorten [of] the prayer if you fear that (may) harm you those who disbelieved. Indeed, the disbelievers are for you an enemy open.

9:28
O you who believe! Indeed, the polytheists (are) unclean, so not let them come near Al-Masjid Al-Haraam after their year (final) this And if you fear poverty, then soon will enrich you Allah from His Bounty, if He wills. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

Indeed, those who believed and those who became Jews and the Christians and the Sabians - who believed in Allah and the Day [the] Last and did righteous deeds, so for them (is) their reward with their Lord and no fear on them and not they will grieve.

Yes, whoever submits his face to Allah and he (is) a good-doer, so for him (is) his reward with his Lord. And no fear (will be) on them and not they (will) grieve.

Those who spend their wealth in (the) way (of) Allah then not they follow what they spend (with) reminders of generosity and not hurt - for them their reward (is) with their Lord, and (there will be) no fear on them and not they will grieve.

Indeed, those who believe[d] and did good deeds and established the prayer and gave the zakah for them - their reward (is) with their Lord, and no fear on them and not they will grieve.

Rejoicing in what bestowed them Allah of His Bounty, and they receive good tidings about those who (have) not yet joined [with] them [from] (but are) left behind - that (there will be) no fear on them and not they will grieve.

That (is the) Grace (of) Allah, He grants whom He wills. And Allah (is) All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.

They fear their Lord from above them, and they do what they are commanded.

24:37
Men - not distracts them trade and not sale from (the) remembrance (of) Allah and (from) establishing the prayer and giving zakah. They fear a Day will turn about therein the hearts and the eyes.

Is (there) in their hearts a disease or do they doubt or they fear that will be unjust Allah to them and His Messenger? Nay, those [they] (are) the wrongdoers.

Nay! But not they fear the Hereafter.
