General Root Meaning
To manage/govern/sustain/tend to one's dependants, to be in possession (owner) of a property or other thing (such as slaves or servants or dependants), having many maternal uncles, perceive or discover, pay frequent attention to or return to time after time, lend a thing to someone, be a keeper or guardian of a thing, a sign or mark or token of good, bestow a gift or confer upon someone, to be or do or produce what is good.

Not is on the blind any blame and not on the lame any blame and not on the sick any blame and not on yourselves that you eat from your houses or houses (of) your fathers or houses (of) your mothers or houses (of) your brothers or houses (of) your sisters or houses (of) your paternal uncles or houses (of) your paternal aunts or houses (of) your maternal uncles or houses (of) your maternal aunts or what you possess its keys or your friend. Not is on you any blame that you eat together or separately. But when you enter houses then greet [on] yourselves a greeting from that Allah blessed (and) good. Thus makes clear Allah for you the Verses so that you may understand.

O Prophet! Indeed, We [We] have made lawful to you your wives (to) whom you have given their bridal money and whom you possess rightfully from those (whom) has given Allah to you, and (the) daughters (of) your paternal uncles and (the) daughters (of) your paternal aunts and (the) daughters (of) your maternal uncles and (the) daughters (of) your maternal aunts who emigrated with you, and a woman believing if she gives herself to the Prophet if wishes the Prophet to marry her - only for you, from excluding the believers. Certainly, We know what We have made obligatory upon them concerning their wives and whom they possess rightfully, that not should be on you any discomfort. And is Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

And certainly you have come to Us alone as We created you (the) first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed (on) you behind your backs. And not We see with you your intercessors those whom you claimed that they (were) in your (matters) partners (with Allah). Indeed, have been severed (bonds) between you and is lost from you what you used to claim."

So when touches [the] man adversity, he calls upon Us; then when We bestow (on) him a favor from Us, he says, "Only, I have been given it for knowledge." Nay, it (is) a trial, but most of them (do) not know.

And when touches [the] man adversity, he calls his Lord turning to Him; then when He bestows on him a favor from Himself, he forgets (for) what he used to call [to] Him from before, and he sets up to Allah rivals to mislead from His Path. Say, "Enjoy in your disbelief (for) a little. Indeed, you (are) of (the) companions (of) the Fire."

  
wakhālātukum   (1)

4:23
Forbidden to you (are) your mothers and your daughters and your sisters and your father's sisters and your mother's sisters and daughters (of) brothers, and daughters (of) sisters and (the) mothers who nursed you and your sisters from the nursing and mothers (of) your wives and your step daughters who (are) in your guardianship of your women whom you had relations with them, but if not you had relations with them, then (there is) no sin on you. And wives (of) your sons, those who (are) from your loins and that you gather together [between] two sisters except what has passed before. Indeed, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.
