General Root Meaning
to split, rise, slit.
sharqiyyun - of or pertaining to the east, eastern.
mashriq - place of sunrise, east.
mashriqain - two easts/horizons, two places where the sun rises (in winter and summer, East and West).
mashaariq - different points of sunrise, whence the sun rises in the course of the year, beam, gleam, eastern parts.
ashraqa (vb. 4) - to shine, rise.
ishraaq - sunrise.
mushriqun - one on whom the sun has risen, who does anything at sunrise, one entering at the sunrise.

Lord (of) the heavens and the earth, and what (is) between both of them and Lord (of) each point of sunrise.

But nay! I swear by (the) Lord (of) the risings and the settings, that We (are) surely Able

Did not you see [towards] the one who argued (with) Ibrahim concerning his Lord, because gave him Allah the kingdom? When Said Ibrahim, "My Lord (is) the One Who grants life and causes death." He said, "I give life and cause death." Said Ibrahim, "[Then] indeed Allah brings up the sun from the east, so you bring it from the west." So became dumbfounded the one who disbelieved, and Allah (does) not guide the people (who are) [the] wrongdoers.

And was fulfilled (the) word (of) your Lord - the best for (the) Children (of) Israel because they were patient. And We destroyed what used to make Firaun and his people, and what they used to erect.
