Ya Sin.
By the Quran, full of wisdom.
You are truly one of the messengers.
On a straight path.
A revelation from the Almighty, the Merciful.
To warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless.
The word has proven true against most of them, so they will not believe.
We have placed shackles around their necks, reaching up to their chins, so their heads are forced up.
We have placed a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and covered them over, so they cannot see.
It is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them: they will not believe.
You can only warn those who follow the reminder and fear the Most Merciful in the unseen. So give them good news of forgiveness and a generous reward.
We give life to the dead and record what they have sent ahead and the traces they leave behind. Everything We have counted in a clear record.
Give them the example of the people of the town when the messengers came to it.
When We sent two to them and they rejected them both, so We reinforced them with a third. They said, "We have been sent to you."
They said, "You are nothing but humans like us, and the Most Merciful has not sent down anything. You are only lying."
They said, "Our Lord knows that we have been sent to you."
Our only duty is to deliver the message clearly.
They said, "We see you as a bad omen. If you do not stop, we will stone you, and a painful punishment from us will touch you."
They said, "Your bad omen is with yourselves. Is it because you have been reminded? No, you are a people who go to excess."
A man came running from the farthest end of the city. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers!"
Follow those who ask no payment from you and are rightly guided.
Why should I not worship the One who created me, and to whom you will all be returned?
Should I take gods besides Him? If the Most Merciful intends harm for me, their intercession would not help me at all, nor could they rescue me.
I would then be in clear error.
I believe in your Lord, so listen to me!
He was told, "Enter Paradise." He said, "If only my people knew
How my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
We did not send down any army from the sky against his people after him, nor would We ever send one.
It was just a single blast, and suddenly they were extinguished.
What a pity for the servants! No messenger ever comes to them without them mocking him.
Do they not see how many generations We destroyed before them, none of whom will ever return to them?
Yet all of them, gathered together, will be brought before Us.
A sign for them is the dead earth: We bring it to life and bring forth grain from it, and from it they eat.
We placed in it gardens of date palms and grapevines, and We caused springs to gush forth in it.
So they may eat from its fruit, though their hands did not make it. Will they not be grateful?
Glory be to the One who created all pairs: from what the earth grows, from themselves, and from things they do not know.
A sign for them is the night: We strip the daylight from it, and suddenly they are in darkness.
The sun runs its course to its resting place. That is the design of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
The moon We have measured in phases, until it returns like an old date stalk.
The sun cannot overtake the moon, nor can the night outpace the day. Each floats in its own orbit.
A sign for them is that We carried their descendants in the laden ark.
We created for them similar vessels to ride.
If We willed, We could drown them, and there would be no one to hear their cries, nor would they be rescued.
Only by mercy from Us, and as provision for a time.
When they are told, "Be mindful of what lies before you and what lies behind you, so that you may receive mercy."
Not a single sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away from it.
When they are told, "Spend from what God has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed someone whom God could feed if He wanted? You are clearly lost."
They say, "When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful?"
They await nothing but a single blast that will seize them while they are still disputing.
They will not be able to leave a will, nor will they return to their families.
The horn will be blown, and suddenly they will rush from their graves toward their Lord.
They will say, "Woe to us! Who has raised us from our resting place? This is what the Most Merciful promised, and the messengers spoke the truth."
It will be but a single blast, and suddenly they will all be brought before Us.
Today no soul will be wronged in the least, and you will only be repaid for what you used to do.
The people of Paradise today are happily occupied.
They and their spouses recline on couches in the shade.
They have fruits there, and they have whatever they desire.
"Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.
"Stand apart today, you criminals!"
"Did I not command you, children of Adam, not to worship Satan? He is a clear enemy to you."
"And worship Me. This is the straight path."
"He has led astray countless multitudes of you. Did you not use your reason?"
"This is the Hell you were promised."
"Burn in it today for what you used to deny."
Today We seal their mouths, and their hands speak to Us, and their feet testify to what they used to commit.
If We willed, We could have blotted out their eyes, and they would race toward the path, but how could they see?
If We willed, We could have paralyzed them in their place, unable to move forward or turn back.
Whoever We grant long life, We reverse in creation. Do they not understand?
We did not teach him poetry, nor would it be fitting for him. This is only a reminder and a clear Quran.
To warn whoever is alive and to justify the word against the disbelievers.
Do they not see that We created for them, from what Our hands have made, livestock, and they are their owners?
We have tamed them for their use: some they ride, and some they eat.
They have other benefits from them, and drinks. Will they not be grateful?
Yet they have taken gods besides God, hoping to be helped.
They cannot help them, though they stand as an army summoned for their cause.
So do not let their words grieve you. We know what they conceal and what they reveal.
Does man not see that We created him from a drop of fluid? Yet there he is, an open adversary.
He draws comparisons for Us and forgets his own creation. He says, "Who can give life to bones when they have crumbled to dust?"
Say, "He who produced them the first time will give them life, and He has knowledge of every creation."
He who made fire for you from the green tree, and from it you kindle flames.
Is not He who created the heavens and the earth able to create the likes of them? Yes, and He is the Supreme Creator, the All-Knowing.
When He wills something, His command is only to say to it, "Be," and it is.
Glory be to Him in whose Hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him you will be returned.
