O you
yāayyuhā
who
alladhīna
believe
āmanū
(Do) not
enter
tadkhulū
(the) houses
buyūta
(of) the Prophet
l-nabiyi
except
illā
when
an
permission is given
yu'dhana
to you
lakum
for
ilā
a meal
ṭaʿāmin
without
ghayra
awaiting
nāẓirīna
its preparation
ināhu
But
walākin
when
idhā
you are invited
duʿītum
then enter
fa-ud'khulū
and when
fa-idhā
you have eaten
ṭaʿim'tum
then disperse
fa-intashirū
and not
walā
seeking to remain
mus'tanisīna
for a conversation
liḥadīthin
Indeed
inna
that
dhālikum
was
kāna
troubling
yu'dhī
the Prophet
l-nabiya
and he is shy
fayastaḥyī
of (dismissing) you
minkum
But Allah
wal-lahu
not
is shy
yastaḥyī
of
mina
the truth
l-ḥaqi
And when
wa-idhā
you ask them
sa-altumūhunna
(for) anything
matāʿan
then ask them
fasalūhunna
from
min
behind
warāi
a screen
ḥijābin
That
dhālikum
(is) purer
aṭharu
for your hearts
liqulūbikum
and their hearts
waqulūbihinna
And not
wamā
is
kāna
for you
lakum
that
an
you trouble
tu'dhū
(the) Messenger
rasūla
(of) Allah
l-lahi
and not
walā
that
an
you should marry
tankiḥū
his wives
azwājahu
from
min
after him
baʿdihi
ever
abadan
Indeed
inna
that
dhālikum
is
kāna
near
ʿinda
Allah
l-lahi
an enormity
ʿaẓīman
