3:1  A (Alif), L (Laam), M (Miim):
3:2  GOD (Ellahu); there is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), the LIVING (El' Hayyu), theETERNAL (El' Qayyuum).
3:3  HE has revealed (Nazzala) the Book (El'Kitaaba) to you (s) (Älai'ka) in truth (Bil' Haqqi) confirming (Musoddiqan) what (Limaa) was before it (Bai'na Yadai'hi); as (Wa) HE revealed (Anzala) the Torah (Ettaw'raata) and the Gospel (Wal' Injiila)
3:4  before (Min Qab'lu), as guidance (Hudan) for the people (Lin' Naasi), and (Wa) HE revealed (Anzala) the Criterion (2:53) (El'Fur'qaana). Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') in (Bi) the verses ofGOD (Aayaati-llahi) will have (Lahum) a severe (Shadiid) punishment (Äzaabun). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is mighty (Äziizun) with (Zuu) vengeance (Entiqaam).
3:5  Indeed (Inna), there is nothing (Laa Shai'un) concealed from (Yakh'faa Älai'hi) GOD (Ellaha) on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) nor (Walaa) in (Fii) the heaven (Es'Samaa').
3:6  HE (Huwa) is the One who (Ellazii) forms you (Yusowwiru-kum) in (Fii) the wombs (El'Ar'haami) however (Kai'fa) HE wills (Yashaau). There is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa); the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
3:7  HE (God) (Huwa) is the One who (Ellazii) has revealed (Anzala) the Book (El'Kitaaba) to you (s) (Älai'ka), of which (Min'hu) are precise (Muh'kamaatun) signs (Aayaatun); they (Hunna) are the Source of the Book (Ummul' Kitaabi) while (Wa) others (the verses) (Ukharu) are similar (39:23) (Mutashaabihaatun). As for (Fa Amma) those (Ellaziina) in (Fii) whose hearts (Quluubi-him) is deviation (Zai'gun), they will then (Fa) follow (Yattabiuuna) what (Maa) is similar (Tashaabaha) thereof (Min'hu), seeking (Eb'tigaa'a) discord (El'Fit'nati) and seeking (Eb'tigaa'a) its interpretation (Ta'wiili-hi), but (Wa) they do not (Maa) know (Ya'lamu) its interpretation (Ta'wiila-hu) except (illa) GOD 1 (Ellahu), as well as (Wa) those deeply rooted (Er'Raasikhuuna) in knowledge 2 (Fiil' il'mi), they say (Yaquuluuna), "We believe (Aamanna) in it (Bihi), all (Kullun) is from (Min' Endi) our LORD (4:82) (Rabbi-naa)." But (Wa) only (Maa illaa) those (U'lu') of intelligence (El'Al'baab) will remember (Yazzakkaru).
3:8  "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), do not (Laa) deviate (Tuzig') our hearts (Quluuba-naa) after (Ba'da) when (Iz') YOU have guided us (9:115) (Hadai'ta-naa) and (Wa) grant us (Hab'la-naa) mercy (Rah'matan) from YOU (Min Ladun-ka). Indeed (Innaka), YOU (Anta) are the GRANTOR (El' Wahhaab).
3:9  "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), indeed, YOU (Innaka) will gather (Jaamiu) the people (En'Naasi) for (Li) a day (Yaw'min) about which (Fiihi) there is no (Laa) doubt (Rai'ba). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) break (Yukh'lifu) a promise (El'Miiääd)."
3:10  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaruu'); their wealth (Am'waalu-hum) will never (Lan) avail them (Tug'niya Än-hum) nor (Walaa) will their children (Aw'laadu-hum) against GOD (Minallahi) at all (Shai'an). And (Wa) they (Hum') are those (U'laaika) who will be fuel (Waquudu) of the Fire (En'Naar).
3:11  Like (Ka) the habit (Da-bi) of the people (Aali) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) and (Wa) those (Ellaziina) before them (Min Qab'li-him’), they denied (Kazzabuu' Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa), so (Fa) GOD (Ellahu) seized them (Akhaza-humu) for (Bi) their sins (Zunuubi-him). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is severe (Shadiidu) in penalty (El'Eqaab).
3:12  Tell (Qul Li) those who (Laziina) disbelieve (Kafaru'), "You will be overcome (Sa Tug'labuuna) and gathered (Tuh'sharuuna) to Hell (Jahannama); and (Wa) wretched (Bi'sa) is the resting place (El'Mihaad)."
3:13  There has already (Qad') been (Kaana) a sign (Aayatun) for you (Lakum) in (Fii) the meeting (El'taqataa) of the two parties (Fiatai'ni); one party (Fiatun) fighting (Tuqaatilu) in (Fii) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) and (Wa) another (Ukh'raa) of disbelievers (Kaafiratun). They (the disbelievers) saw them (the other party) (Yaraw'na-hum) the like of themselves (Mith'lai'him) by the vision (Ra’ya) of the eyes (El'Äi'ni). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) supported (Yuayyidu) whomever (Man) HE willed (Yashaa') with (Bi) HIS victory (Nas'ri-hi). Indeed (Inna), there is (La) a lesson (Eb'ratan) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for (Li) those (U'lii) of eyesight (El'Ab'soar).
3:14  Adorned (Zuyyina) for mankind (Lin' Naasi) is the love (Hubbu) of craving (Es'Shahawaati) for (Mina) women 1 (En'Nisaai), children 2 (El'Baniina), quintal (El'Qanaatiiri) vaults (El'Muqantorati) of (Mina) gold 3 (Ez'Zahabi) and silver 4 (Wal' Fiddoti), branded (El'Musawwamati) horses 5 (El'Khai'li), livestock 6 (El'An'äämi) and cultivation 7 (Wal' Har'thi). That (Zaalika) is the enjoyment (provision) (Mataau) of the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (57:20) (El'Hayaati), but (Wa) with (Endahu) GOD (Ellahu) is the best (Hus'nu) of return (El'Ma-aab).
3:15  Say (Qul'): "Shall I inform you (p) (A'unabbiu-kum) what is (Bi) better (Khai'rin) than (Min) that (Zaali-kum) for those who (Lillaziina) are pious (Ettaqaw')? Gardens (Jannaatun) at (Enda) their LORD (Rabbi-him) beneath which (Min Tah'ti-ha) rivers (El'An'haaru) flow (Taj'rii), eternally (Khaalidiina) therein (Fiiha), as well as (Wa) purified (Mutohharatun) mates (spouses) (Az'waajun) and (Wa) approval (Rid'waanun) from GOD (Minallahi)." And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is cognizant of (Basiiru Bi) the servants (El'Ebaadi),
3:16  who (Ellaziina) say (Yaquuluuna), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), indeed we (Innanaa) have believed (Aamanna), so (Fa) forgive us (Eg'fir' Lanaa) our sins (Zunuuba-naa) and (Wa) safeguard us from (Qinaa) the punishment (Äzaaba) of the Fire (En'Naar)."
3:17  They are the patient (Es'Soabiriina), the truthful (Es'Soadiqiina), the obedient (El'Qaanitiina), the disbursers (El'Munfiqiina), and (Wa) the seekers of forgiveness (El'Mus'tag'firiina) before (Bi) daybreak (51:18) (El'As'haar).
3:18  GOD testifies (Shahida-llahu) that (Annahu), there is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), and so do (Wa) the Angels (Malaaikatu) and those (U'lu') of knowledge (El' il'mi), standing (Qaaima) in justice (Bil' Qis'ti). There is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa), the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
3:19  Indeed (Inna), the religion (Ed'Diina) with GOD (Endallahi) is the Submission (3:85) (El' Is'laam). And (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) were given (Uutu') the Book (El'Kitaaba) did not (Maa) differ (Ekh'talafa) except (illa) after (Min Ba'di) what (Maa) had come to them (Jaa'a-humu) of knowledge (El' il'mu); out of injustice (Bag'yaa) between them (Bai'nahum). And (Wa) whoever (Man) disbelieves (Yak'fur') in (Bi) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is swift (Sariiu) in reckoning (El'Hisaab).
3:20  So (Fa) if (In') they argue with you (s) (Haajjuu-ka), then (Fa) say (Qul'), "I have submitted (As'lam'tu) my aim (Waj'hiya) to GOD (Lillahi) and so (Wa) have those who (Mani) follow me (Ettaba'äni)." And (Wa) say (Qul) to those who (Lillaziina) were given (Uutu') the Book (El'Kitaaba) and the unlearned (62:2) (Wal’ Ummiyyiina), "Have you submitted (A-as'lam'tum’)?" And (Fa) if (In') they have submitted (As'lamu'), then (Fa) they are indeed (Qadi) guided (Eh'tada'); but (Wa) if (In) they turn away (Tawallaw'), then (Fa) only (Innama) the notification (13:40) (El'Balaagu) is upon you (s) (Älai'ka). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is cognizant of (Basiiru Bi) the servants (El'Ebaadi).
3:21  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Yak'furuuna) in (Bi) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) and (Wa) kill (Yaq'tuluuna) the prophets (En'Nabiyyiina) without (Bi-Gai'ri) right (Haqqi) and kill (Yaq'tuluuna) those who (Ellaziina) call for (Ya'muruuna Bi) justice (El'Qis'ti) among (Mina) the people (En'Naasi), hence (Fa) announce to them (Basshir'hum) of (Bi) a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabin).
3:22  Those (U'laaika) are the ones (Ellaziina) whose deeds (A'maalu-hum) in (Fii) the world (Ed'Dun'ya) and the hereafter (Wal' Aakhirati) have become worthless (Habitot'), and (Wa) they will have (Lahum) no (Maa Min) helpers (Naasiriin).
3:23  Have you not (Alam') considered (Tara ilaa) those who (Ellaziina) were given (Uutu') a portion (Nasiiban) of (Mina) the Book (El'Kitaabi), being invited (Yud'äw'na) to (ilaa) the book of GOD (Kitaabi-llahi) in order to (Li) judge (Yah'kuma) between them (Bai'nahum), but (Thumma) a group (Fariiqun) of them (Min'hum) turned away (Yatawallaa) while (Wa) they (Hum) are avoiding (Mu'riduun)?
3:24  That (Zaalika) is because they (Bi'anna-hum) said (Qaalu'), "The Fire (En'Naaru) will never (Lan) touch us (Tamassa-naa), except (illaa) for a limited number of (Ma'duudaa') days (2:80) (Ayyaaman)," but (Wa) they are deluded (Garra-hum) in (Fii) their religion (Diini-him) by what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') fabricating (Yaf'taruun).
3:25  So (Fa) how (Kai'fa) will it be when (Izaa) We assemble them (Jama'naa-hum) for (Li) a day (Yaw'min) about which (Fiihi) there is no (Laa) doubt (Rai'ba)? Every (Kullu) soul (Naf'sin) will be paid (Wuffiyat') for what (Maa) it earned (Kasabat'), and (Wa) they (Hum) will not (Laa) be wronged (Yuz'lamuun).
3:26  Say (Quli): "O God (Ellahumma), Possessor (Maalika) of the dominion (El'Mul'ki), YOU give (Tu'tii) sovereignty (El'Mul'ka) to whomever (Man) YOU will (Tashaau) and (Wa) YOU take (Tanziu) sovereignty (El'Mul'ka) away from whomever (Mimman) YOU will (Tashaau), and (Wa) YOU honour (Tuezzu) whomever (Man) YOU will (Tashaau), and YOU humiliate (Tuzillu) whomever (Man) YOU will (Tashaau); in (Bi) YOUR hand (Yadi-ka) is the good (El'Khai'ru). Indeed, YOU (Innaka) are capable of (Qadiiru Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in).
3:27  "YOU insert (Tuuliju) the night (Ellai'la) into (Fii) the day (En'Nahaari), and (Wa) YOU insert (Tuuliju) the day (En'Nahaara) into (Fii) the night (Ellai'li). YOU bring (Tukh'riju) the living (El'Hayya) out of (Mina) the dead (El'Mayyiti), and YOU bring (Tukh'riju) the dead (El'Mayyita) out of (Mina) the living (El'Hayyi). And (Wa) YOU provide for (Tar'zuku) whomever (Man) YOU will (Tashaau) without (Bi-Gai'ri) reckoning (Hisaab)."
3:28  Let not (Laa) the believers (El'Mu'minuuna) take (Yattakhizi) disbelievers (El'Kaafiriina) as allies (Aw'liyaa'a) other than (Min Duuni) believers (El'Mu'miniina). For (Wa) whoever (Man) does (Yaf'äl') that (Zaalika), then (Fa) he is not (Lai'sa) with GOD (Minallahi) in (Fii) anything (Shai'in), except (illaa) to (An) beware (Tattaqu') of them (Min'hum) as precaution (Tuqaatan). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) cautions you (Yuhazziru-kumu) of Himself (Naf'sa-hu), and (Wa) to GOD (ilaallahi) is the destiny (El'Masiir).
3:29  Say (Qul'): "Whether (In) you conceal (Tukh'fu') what (Maa) is in (Fii) your bosoms (Suduuri-kum) or (Aw') manifest it (Tub'duu-hu), GOD (Ellahu) knows it (Ya'lam'hu). HE knows (Ya'lamu) whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and whatever (Wamaa) is on earth (Fiil' Ar'di). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is capable of (Qaadir Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in).”
3:30  The day (Yaw'ma) every (Kullu) soul (Naf'sin) will find (Tajidu) what (Maa) it had done (Ämilat') of (Min) good (Khai'rin) prepared (Muh'doran) and what (Wamaa) it had done (Ämilat') of (Min) evil (Suu'in), it will wish (Tawwaddu Law') that (Anna) there was an extent (Amada) of distance (Baeeda) between it and him (Bai'na-haa Wa Bai'na-hu). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) cautions you (Yuhazziru-kumu) of Himself (Naf'sa-hu), for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is kind to (Rauufu Bi) the servants (El'Ebaad).
3:31  Say (Qul'): "If (In) you should (Kuntum') love GOD (Tuhibbuuna-llaha), then (Fa) follow me (Ettabiuunii), GOD (Ellahu) will love you (Yuh'bib'kumu) and (Wa) forgive you (Yag'fir' Lakum') your sins (Zunuuba-kum'). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).” (7:158)
3:32  Say (Qul'): "Obey GOD (Atiiu'llaha) and (Wa) the Messenger (Er'Rasuula)," but (Fa) if (In) they turn away (Tawallaw'), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) like (Yuhibbu) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin).
3:33  Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) chose (Es'tofaa) Adam (Aadama), Noah (Nuuhan), the family (Aala) of Abraham (Ib'raahiima) and the family (Aala)* of Amram (Im'raana)* over (Älaa) all people (El'Äälamiin)
3:34  as descendants (Zurruyyata) of each other (Ba'du-haa Min Ba'din); and (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is Hearing (Samiiun) and Omniscient (Äliim).
3:35  When (Iz') the wife (Em'ra'atu) of Amram (Im'raana) said (Qaalati), "LORD (Rabbi), I (Innii) have dedicated (Nazar'tu) what (Maa) is in (Fii) my belly (Bat'nii) in consecration (Muharraran) to YOU (Laka), so (Fa) accept (Taqabbal') from me (Minnii). Indeed (Innaka), YOU (Anta) are the HEARER (Es' Samiiu), the OMNISCIENT (El' Äliim)."
3:36  And (Fa) when (Lamma) she gave birth to her (Wadoät'haa), she said (Qaalat'), "LORD (Rabbi), I (Innii) have given birth to (Wado'tu-haa) a female (Unthaa)." And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) was aware of (A'lamu Bi) what (Maa) she gave birth (Wadoät'), and (Wa) the male (Ez'Zakaru) is not (Lai'sa) like (Ka) the female (El'Untha), “I (Innii) have named her (Sammai'tu-ha) Mary (Mar'yama), and (Wa) I (Innii) seek protection for her (U'eezu-haa) with YOU (Bika) and (Wa) for her descendants (Zurriyyata-ha) against (Mina) the accursed (Er'Rajiim) devil (Es'Shai'toani)."
3:37  So (Fa) her LORD (Rabbu-ha) accepted her (Taqabbala-ha) with (Bi) good (Hasanin) acceptance (Qabuulin) and (Wa) grew her (Anbata-ha) in good (Hasanan) growth (Nabaatan) and Zechariah (Zakariyya) supported her (looked after) (Kaffala-haa). Whenever (Kullamaa) Zechariah (Zakariyya) entered (Dakhala) the sanctum (El'Mih'raaba) to her (Älai'ha), he found (Wajada) sustenance (Riz'qa) with her (Endahaa). He said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Mary (Mar'yamu), how (Annaa) did you get (Laka) this (Haaza)?" She said (Qaalat'), "It (Huwa) was from GOD (Min Endi-llahi). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) provides for (Yar'zuqu) whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau) without (Bi-Gai'ri) reckoning (Hisaab)."
3:38  It was there (Hunaalika) Zechariah (Zakariyya) invoked (Daää) his LORD (Rabba-hu), "LORD (Rabbi), grant me (Hab' Lii) a good (Toyyibatan) offspring (Zurriyyatan) from YOU (Min Ladun-ka). Indeed, YOU (Innaka) are the hearer (Samiiu) of invocation (Ed'Duää')."
3:39  And (Fa) the Angels (El'Malaaikatu) called him (Naadat'hu) while (Wa) he (Huwa) was standing (Qaaimun) in prayer (to pray) (Yusollii) in (Fii) the sanctum (El'Mih'raabi) that (Anna), "GOD (Ellaha) gives you good news (Yubasshiru-ka) of (Bi) John (Yah'yaa), confirming (Musoddiqa) a (Bi) word (Kalimatin) from GOD (Minallahi) as (Wa) a leader (Sayyidan), stringent (Hasuuran) and (Wa) a prophet (Nabiyyan) among (Mina) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin)."
3:40  He (Zechariah) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), how (Annaa) can I have (Yakuunu Lii) a boy (Gulaamun) while (Wa) I have already (Qad') reached (Balaganii) old age (El'Kibaru), and (Wa) my wife (Em'ra'atii) is barren (Ääqirun)?" He (the Angel) said, "Thus (Kazaalika) does GOD (Ellahu) do (Yaf'älu) whatever (Maa) HE wills (Yashaa')."
3:41  He (Zechariah) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), grant me (Ej'äl Lii) a sign (Aayatan)." HE (God) said (Qaala), "Your sign (Aayatu-ka) is not to (Alla) speak (Tukallima) to the people (En'Naasa) for three (Thalaathata) days (Ayyaamin), except (illa) by signal (Ram'zan). And (Wa) remember (Ez'kur) your LORD (Rabba-ka) frequently (Kathiiran) and (Wa) glorify (Sabbih') in the evening (Bil' Äshiyyi) and early in the morning (Wal' Ib'kaar)."
3:42  And (Wa) when (Iz') the Angels (El'Malaa’ikatu) said (Qaalati), "O (Yaa) Mary (Mar'yamu), indeed GOD (Innallaha) has chosen you (Es'tofaa-ki) and purified you (Tohhara-ki), and has chosen you (Es'tofaa-ki) over (Älaa) the women (Nisaa'i) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin).
3:43  "O (Yaa) Mary (Mar'yamu), be obedient (Eq'nutii) to (Li) your LORD (Rabbi-ki) and (Wa) prostrate (Es'judii) and bow down (Er'kaee) with (Maä) those who bow down (Er'Raakieen)."
3:44  That (Zaalika) is from (Min') the news (Anbaai) of the unseen (El'Gai'bi) which We inspire (Nuuhii-hi) to you (s) (ilai'ka). For (Wa) you (Mohammed) were (Kunta) not (Maa) with them (Ladai'him') when (Iz') they cast (Yul'quuna) their pens (Aq'laama-hum') as to which of them (Ayyuhum') should support (look after) (Yak'fulu) Mary (Mar'yama), nor (Wamaa) were you (Kunta) with them (Ladai'him') when (Iz') they were disputing (Yakh'tasimuun).
3:45  When (Iz') the Angels (El'Malaaikatu) said (Qaalati), "O (Yaa) Mary (Mar'yamu), indeed GOD (Innallaha) gives you good news (Yubassiru-ki) of (Bi) a word (Kalimati) from HIM (Min'hu), whose name (Es'mu-hu) will be the Messiah (El'Masiihu), Jesus (Eesaa), the son (Eb'nu) of Mary (Mar'yama); prominent (Wajiihan) in (Fii) the world (Ed'Dun'ya) and the hereafter (Wal' Aakhirati) and (Wa) among (Mina) those nearby (El'Muqarrabiin).
3:46  "And (Wa) he will speak (Yukallimu) to the people (En'Naasa) in (Fii) the cradle (El'Mah'di), as well as (Wa) in middle age (Kah'lan) and (Wa) as one of (Mina) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin)."
3:47  She (Mary) said (Qaalat'), "LORD (Rabbi), how (Annaa) can I have (Yakuunu Lii) a son (Waladun) while (Wa) no (Lam') man (Basharun) has touched me (Yam'sas'nii)?" He (the Angel) said (Qaala), "Thus (Kazaalika) does GOD (Ellahu) create (Yakh'luqu) whatever (Maa) HE wills (Yashaau). Whenever (Izaa) HE decrees (Qadoa) a command (Am'ran), then (Fa) HE only (Innamaa) says (Yaquulu) to it (Lahu), "Be (Kun), then (Fa) it becomes (Yakun).
3:48  "And (Wa) HE (God) will teach him (Yuällimu-hu) the Book 1 (El'Kitaaba), the Wisdom 2 (El'Hik'mata), the Torah 3 (Ettaw'raata), and the Gospel 4 (Wal' Injiil),
3:49  as (Wa) a messenger (Rasuulan) to (ilaa) the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila). 'Indeed, I (Jesus) (Annii) have (Qad') brought you (Ji'tu-kum Bi) a sign (Aayaatin) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum); I can (Annii) create (Akh'luqu) for you (Lakum) out of (Mina) clay (Ettiini) like (Ka) the shape (Hai'ati) of a bird (Ettoi'ri), then (Fa) I will blow into it (Anfukhu Fiihi) and (Fa) it will become (Yakuunu) a bird (Toi'ra) by (Bi) the permission of GOD (Iz'ni-llahi). And (Wa) I can cure (Ub'riu) the blind (El'Ak'maha) and the leper (El'Ab'rasa), and I can give life (Uh'yii) to the dead (El'Maw'taa) by (Bi) the permission of GOD (Iz'ni-llahi). I can inform you (p) (Unabbiu-kum) of what (Bimaa) you will eat (Ta'kuluuna) and what (Wamaa) you will store (Taddakhiruuna) in (Fii) your houses (Buyuuti-kum'). Indeed (Inna), there is (La) a sign (Aayatan) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for you (Lakum'), if (In) you should be (Kuntum) believers (Mu'miniin),
3:50  and (Wa) confirming (Musoddiqan) what (Limaa) was before me (Bai'na Yadayya) of (Mina) the Torah (Ettaw'raati) and to (Wali) make lawful (Uhilla) for you (Lakum) some (Ba'do) of what (Ellazii) was forbidden (Hurrima) to you (Älai'kum'). And (Wa) I have brought you (Ji'tu-kum Bi) a sign (Aayatin) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'), so (Fa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu-llaha) and (Wa) obey me (Atiiuuni).
3:51  'Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is my LORD (Rabbii) and (Wa) your LORD (Rabbu-kum'), so (Fa) worship HIM (E'buduu-hu). This (Haaza) is the straight (Mus'taqiim) path (Siraatun).' “
3:52  But (Fa) when (Lammaa) Jesus (Eesaa) sensed (Ahassa) disbelief (El'Kuf'ra) from them (Min'humu), he said (Qaala), "Who (Man') are my supporters (Ansoarii) for GOD (ilaallahi)?" The disciples (El'Hawaariyyuuna) said (Qaala), "We (Nah'nu) are supporters of GOD (61:14) (Ansoaru-llahi); we believe (Aamannaa) in GOD (Billahi) and (Wa) testify (Esh'had') that we (Bi'anna) are submitters (Mus'limuun)."
3:53  "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), we have believed (Aamannaa) in what (Bimaa) YOU have revealed (Anzal'ta) and (Wa) have followed (Ettaba'naa) the Messenger (Jesus) (Er'Rasuula), so (Fa) register us (Ek'tub'naa) with (Maä) the witnesses (Es'Shaahidiin)."
3:54  And (Wa) they schemed (Makaru'), and (Wa) GOD schemed (Makara-llahu), and (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is the best (Khai'ru) of schemers (El'Maakiriin).
3:55  Then (Iz') GOD (Ellahu) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Jesus (Eesaa), indeed I (Innii) will cause you to die (Mutawaffii-ka) and (Wa) raise you (Raafiu'ka) to ME (ilayya) and purify you (Mutohhiru-ka) from (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') and will place (Jaa'elu) those who (Ellaziina) followed you (Ettabauu-ka) above (Faw'qa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaruu') till (ilaa) the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mil' Qiyaamati). Then (Thumma) to me (ilayya) is your return (Mar'jiu-kum'), and (Fa) I will judge (Eh'kumu) between you (Bai'nakum') concerning what (Fiimaa) you have (Kuntum') differed in (Takh'talifuun Fiihi).
3:56  "But (Fa) as for (Ammaa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru'), thus (Fa) I will punish them (Uäzzibu-hum') with a severe (Shadiidan) punishment (Äzaaban) in (Fii) the world (Ed'Dun'ya) and the hereafter (Wal' Aakhirati), and (Wa) they will have (Lahum) no (Maa Min) helpers (Naasiriin)."
3:57  And (Wa) as for (Ammaa) those who (Ellaziina) believed (Aamanu') and (Wa) did (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati), thus (Fa) HE will pay them (Yuwaffii-him') their rewards (Ujuura-hum'), for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) does not (Laa) like (Yuhibbu) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin).
3:58  That (Zaalika) is what We recite (Nat'luu-hu) to you (s) (Älai'ka) of (Mina) the verses (El'Aayaati) and (Wa) the Wise (El'Hakiim) Remembrance (Ez'Zik'ri).
3:59  Indeed (Inna), the example (Mathala) of Jesus (Eesaa) with GOD (Endallahi) is like (Ka) the example (Mathali) of Adam (Aadama); HE created him (Adam) (Khalaqa-hu) from (Min) dust (Turaabin) and then (Thumma) said (Qaala) to him (Lahu), "Be (Kun)," and (Fa) he became (Yakuun).
3:60  The truth (El'Haqqu) is from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-ka), so (Fa) do not (Laa) be (Takun) among (Mina) the doubters (El'Mum'tariin). (2:147)
3:61  Therefore (Fa) whoever (Man') argues with you (s) (Haajja-ka) concerning it (Fiihi) after (Min Ba'di) what (Maa) has come to you (Jaa'a-ka) of (Mina) the knowledge (El' il'mi), then (Fa) say (Qul'): "Come (Ta'äälaw'), let us call (Nad'u) our children (Ab'naa'a-naa) and (Wa) your children (Ab'naa'a-kum'), our women (Nisaa'a-naa) and (Wa) your women (Nisaa'a-kum'), ourselves (Anfusa-naa) and (Wa) yourselves (Anfusa-kum'), and (Thumma) let us supplicate (Nab'tahil') and (Fa) place (Naj'äl) the curse of GOD (La'nata-llahi) upon (Älaa) the liars (El'Kaazibiin)."
3:62  Indeed (Inna), this (Haaza) is (Lahuwa) the narration (El'Qasosu) of the truth (El'Haqqu). And (Wa) there is no (Maa Min') god (ilaahin) except (illa) the GOD (Ellahu). For (Wa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is (Lahuwa) the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
3:63  And (Fa) if (In) they turn away (Tawallaw'), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is aware of (Äliimu Bi) the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin).
3:64  Say (Qul): "O (Yaa) People of the Book (Ah'lal' Kitaabi), let's come (Ta'äälaw') to (ilaa) equal (Sawaai) term (Kalimatin) between us and you (Bai'na-naa Wa Bai'na-kum'); that we shall not (Allaa) worship (Na'buda) except (illa) GOD (Ellaha), neither (Walaa) shall we associate (Nush'rika) anything (Shai'an) with HIM (Bihi), nor (Walaa) shall we take (Yattakhiza) each other (Ba'dunaa Ba'doan) as lords (Ar'baaban) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi)." But (Fa) if (In) they turn away (Tawallaw'), then (Fa) say (Quulu'): "Bear witness (Esh'hadu') that we (Bi'Annaa) are submitters (Mus'limuun)."
3:65  O (Yaa) People of the Book (Ah'lal' Kitaabi), why (Lima) do you argue (Tuhaajjuuna) about (Fii) Abraham (Ib'raahiima) while (Wa) the Torah (Ettaw'raatu) and the Gospel (Wal' Injiilu) were only (Maa illa) revealed (Unzilati) after him (Min Ba'di-hi)? Will you then not (Afalaa) reason (Ta'qiluun)?
3:66  Here (Haa') you (p) (Antum') are those (Haaulaai) who have argued (Haajaj'tum') about what (Fiimaa) you have (Lakum) knowledge (il'mun Bihi), so (Fa) why (Lima) are you arguing (Tuhaajjuuna) about what (Fiimaa) you have (Lakum) no (Lai'sa) knowledge (il'mun Bihi)? But (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) knows (Ya'lamu), while (Wa) you (Antum') do not (Laa) know (Ta'lamuun).
3:67  Abraham (Ib'raahiimu) was (Kaana) neither (Maa) a Jew (Yahuudiyyan) nor (Walaa) a Christian (Nas'raaniyyan), but (Walaakin) he was (Kaana) an orthodox (Haniifaan) submitter (Mus'limaan). And (Wa) he was (Kaana) not (Maa) of (Mina) the polytheists (El'Mush'rikiin). (22:78)
3:68  Indeed (Inna), the foremost (Aw'laa) of people (En'Naasi) to (Bi) Abraham (Ib'raahiima) are those who (Lallaziina) followed him (Ettabauu-hu) and (Wa) this (Haaza) Prophet (En'Nabiyyu), and (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'). And GOD (Wallahu) is the ally (Waliyyu) of the believers (El'Mu'miniin). (6:161)
3:69  A faction (Toa'ifatun) of (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi) wish (Waddat Law') they could mislead you (p) (Yudilluunakum'), but (Wa) they only (Maa illaa) mislead (Yudilluuna) themselves (Anfusa-hum'), and (Wa) they do not (Maa) perceive (Yash'uruun).
3:70  O (Yaa) People of the Book (Ah'lal' Kitaabi), why (Lima) do you disbelieve (Tak'furuuna) in (Bi) the verses of GOD (16:104) (Aayaati-llahi) while (Wa) you (Antum') bear witness (Tash'haduun)?
3:71  O (Yaa) People of the Book (Ah'lal' Kitaabi), why (Lima) do you mix (Tal'bisuuna) the truth (El'Haqqa) with falsehood (Bil' Baatili) and (Wa) conceal (Tak'tumuuna) the truth (El'Haqqa) while (Wa) you (Antum') know (Ta'lamuun)? (2:42)
3:72  And (Wa) a faction (Toa'ifatun) of (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi) said (Qaalat), "Believe (Aaminu') in what (Billazii) has been revealed (Unzila) to (Älaa) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') at the appearance (Waj'ha) of the day (En'Nahaari) and (Wa) disbelieve (Ek'furuu') at its end (Aakhira-hu) perhaps they (Laällahum') will revert (Yar'ji'uun).
3:73  "And (Wa) do not (Laa) believe (Tu'minuu') except (illa) those who (Liman) follow (Tabiä) your religion (Diina-kum')." Say (Qul'): "Indeed (Inna), the Guidance (6:71) (El'Hudaa) is the guidance of GOD (Hudaa-llahi), lest (An) someone (Ahadun) be given (Yu'taa) the like (Mith'la) of what (Maa) you were given (Uutiitum') or (Aw') they would argue with you (Yuhaajjuu-kum') in front of (Enda) your LORD (Rabbi-kum')." Say (Qul'): "Indeed (Inna), the favour (El'Fad'la) is in (Bi) the hand of GOD (Yadi-llahi); HE gives it (Yu'tii-hi) to whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau)." And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is Encompassing (Waasi'un) and Omniscient (Äliim).
3:74  HE (God) specifies (Yakh'tassu) HIS mercy (Rah'mati-hi) to (Bi) whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau); for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) possesses (Zuu) great (El'Äziim) favour (El'Fad'li).
3:75  And (Wa) among (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi) is one who (Man'), if (In) you entrust him (Ta'man'hu) with (Bi) a quintal (Qintoarin), he will return it (Yuaddi-hi) to you (s) (ilai'ka). And (Wa) among them (Min'hum) is one who (Man'), if (In) you entrust him (Ta'man'hu) with (Bi) a dinar (Diinaarin), he will not (Laa) return it (Yuaddi-hi) to you (ilai'ka) except (illa) as long as (Maadum'ta) you are standing (Qaaiman) over him (Älai'hi). That (Zaalika) is because they (Bi'anna-hum') say (Qaalu'), "There is no (Lai'sa) means (Sabiilun) against us (Älai'naa) concerning (Fii) the unlearned (El'Ummiyyiina)." And (Wa) they say (Yaquuluuna) a lie (El'Kaziba) about GOD (Älaallahi) while (Wa) they (Hum') know (Ya'lamuun).
3:76  Certainly (Balaa), whoever (Man') fulfils (Aw'faa Bi) his agreement (Äh'di-hi) and (Wa) becomes pious (Ettaqaa), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) loves (Yuhibbu) the pious (El'Muttaqiin).
3:77  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) trade (Yash'taruuna) the agreement of GOD (Äh'di-llahi) and (Wa) their oaths (Ai'maani-him') for (Bi) a little (Qaliilan) price (Thamanan), those (U'laaika) will have (Lahum) no (Laa) positive quality (Khalaaqa) in the hereafter (Fiil' Aakhirati), nor (Walaa) will GOD (Ellahu) speak to them (Yukallimu-humu), nor (Walaa) will HE look at them (Yanzuru ilai'him') on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati), nor will HE purify them (Yuzakkii-him'); and (Wa) they will have (Lahum') a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabun).
3:78  And (Wa) indeed (Inna), among them (Min'hum') is (La) a group (Fariiqan) who distort (Yal'wuna) the Book (El'Kitaabi) with (Bi) their tongues (Al'sinata-hum) to (Li) make you consider it (Tah'sabuu-hu) from (Mina) the Book (El'Kitaabi), while (Wa) it (Huwa) is not (Maa) from (Mina) the Book (El'Kitaabi), and (Wa) they say (Yaquuluuna), "It (Huwa) is from GOD (Min' Endi-llahi)," while (Wa) it (Huwa) is not (Maa) from GOD (Min' Endi-llahi). And (Wa) they say (Yaquuluuna) a lie (El'Kaziba) about GOD (Älaallahi) while (Wa) they know (Ya'lamuun).
3:79  It is (Kaana) not (Maa) for (Li) a man (Basharin) that (An) GOD (Ellahu) should give him (Yu'tiya-hu) the Book 1 (El'Kitaaba), the Judgement 2 (El'Huk'ma) and (Wa) Prophethood 3 (En'Nubuwwatan), then (Thumma) he would say (Yaquula) to the people (Lin' Naasi), "Be (Kuunu') my servants (Ebaadan Lii) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi)," but (Walaakin) "Be (Kuunu') spiritual leaders (Rabbaaniyyiina) through what (Bimaa) you have been (Kuntum') taught 1 (Tuällimuuna) of the Book (El'Kitaaba) and (Wa) through what (Bimaa) you have (Kuntum') studied 2 (Tad'rusuun)."
3:80  Nor (Walaa) would he command you (the believers) (Ya'mura-kum') to (An) take (Tattakhizu) the Angels (El'Malaa'ikata) and (Wa) the prophets (En'Nabiyyiina) as lords (3:64) (Ar'baaban). Would he instruct you (A-ya'muru-kum) to disbelieve (Bil' Kuf'ri) after (Ba'da) when (Iz') you had been (Antum) submitters (Mus'limuun)?
3:81  And (Wa) when (Iz') GOD took (Akhaza-llahu) a covenant (33:7) (Miithaaqa) with the prophets (En'Nabiyyiina) that (La), "What (Maa) I give you (Aatai'tu-kum) of (Min) Book (Kitaabin) and Wisdom (Hik'matin), afterwards (Thumma) a messenger (Rasuulun) will come to you (Jaa'a-kum') confirming (Musoddiqun) what (Limaa) is with you (p) (Maäkum'), you shall (La) believe (Tu'minunna) in him (Bihi) and (Wa) shall (La) support him (Tansurunna-hu)." HE (God) said (Qaala), "Do you accept (A-aq'rar'tum’) and take (Akhaz'tum') on (Älaa) that (Zaalikum) as MY pact (Is'rii)?" They (the prophets) said (Qaaluu'), "We have accepted (Aq'rar'naa)." HE said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) bear witness (Esh'hadu'), for (Wa) I am (Ana') with you (Maäkum) among (Mina) the witnesses (Es'Shaahidiin)."
3:82  And (Fa) whoever (Man) turns away (Tawallaa) after (Ba'da) that (Zaalika), thence (Fa) those (U'laaika) are (Humu) the immoral (El'Faasiquun).
3:83  So is it (Afa-) other than (-gai'ra) the religion of GOD (3:19) (Diini-llahi) they desire (Yab'guuna), while (Wa) those (Man) in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) have submitted (As'lama) to HIM (Lahu); willingly (Tow'ään) and (Wa) unwillingly (Kar'haan), and to HIM (ilai'hi) they are returning (Yur'jauun)?
3:84  Say (Qul'): "We have believed (Aamanna) in GOD (Billahi) and what (Wamaa) has been revealed to us (Unzila Älai'na) and what (Wamaa) was revealed to (Unzila Älaa) Abraham (Ib'raahiima), Ishmael (Is'maa'eela), Isaac (Is'haaqa), Jacob (Ya'quuba), and the grandsons (tribes) (Wal' As'baati); and what (Wamaa) was given to (Uutiya) Moses (Muusaa), Jesus (Eesaa) and (Wa) the prophets (En'Nabiyyuuna) from (Min) their LORD (Rabbi-him'). We do not (Laa) differentiate (Nufarriqu) between (Bai'na) any of them (Ahadin Min'hum'), and (Wa) we (Nah'nu) are submitters (Mus'limuun) to HIM (Lahu)."
3:85  And (Wa) whoever (Man) desires (Yab'tagi) other than (Gai'ra) the religion (Diinan) of the Submission (5:3) (El' Islaami), then (Fa) it will never (Lan) be accepted (Yuq'bala) from him (Min'hu), and (Wa) he (Huwa) will be among (Mina) the losers (El'Khaasiriin) in the hereafter (Fiil' Aakhirati).
3:86  How (Kai'fa) shall GOD guide (Yah'dii-llahu) a people (Qaw'man) who disbelieved (Kafaru') after (Ba'da) their faith (iimaani-him') and (Wa) had witnessed (Shahiduu') that (Anna) the Messenger (Er'Rasuula) is true (Haqqun) while (Wa) the proofs (El'Bayyinaatu) have come to them (Jaa'a-humu)? And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) does not (Laa) guide (Yah'dii) the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (El'Qaw'ma).
3:87  Those (U'laaika), their requital (Jazaa'u-hum') is that (Anna) upon them (Älai'him') is the curse of GOD (La'nata-llahi), the Angels (El'Malaaikati), and (Wa) the people (En'Naasi) all together (Aj'maeen).
3:88  They (the cursed) will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaalidiina); the punishment (El'Äzaabu) will not (Laa) be lightened for them (Yukhaffafu Än'humu), nor (Walaa) will they (Hum') be respited (Yunzoruun),
3:89  except (illa) those who (Ellaziina) repent (Taabu') after (Min Ba'di) that (Zaalika) and (Wa) reform (As'lahu'). Then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).
3:90  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') after (Ba'da) their faith (iimaani-him') and then (Thumma) increase (Ez'daadu') in disbelief (Kuf'ran), their repentance (Taw'batu-hum') will never (Lan) be accepted (Tuq'bala), and (Wa) they (Humu) are those (U'laaika) who are the misguided (Ed'Doalluun).
3:91  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') and (Wa) die (Maatu') while (Wa) they (Hum') are disbelievers (Kuffaaru), then (Fa) a filled (Mil'u) earth (El'Ar'di) of gold (Zahaban) would never (Lan) be accepted (Yuq'bala) from (Min') any of them (Ahadi-him), even if (Walawi) he could ransom (Ef'tadaa) with it (Bihi). Those (U'laaika) will have (Lahum') a painful (Aliimun) punishment (Äzaabun) and (Wa) they will have (Lahum) no (Maa Min) helpers (Naasiriin).
3:92  You will never (Lan) attain (-Tanaalu') righteousness (El'Birra) until (Hattaa) you disburse (2:267) (Tunfiqu') from what (Mimmaa) you love (Tuhibbuuna). And (Wa) whatever (Maa) you disburse (Tunfiqu') of (Min) anything (Shai'in), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is aware (Äliim) of it (Bihi).
3:93  All (Kullu) food (Etto'äämi) was lawful (Hilla) for (Li) the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila) except (illa) what (Maa) Israel (Is'raa'iilu) forbade (Harrama) for (Älaa) himself (Naf'si-hi) before (Min Qab'li An) the Torah (Ettaw'raatu) was revealed (Tunazzala). Say (Qul): "So bring (Fa'tuu') the Torah (Ettaw'raati) and (Fa) recite it (Et'luu-haa), if (In) you should be (Kuntum') truthful (Soadiqiin)."
3:94  Therefore (Fa) whoever (Mani) fabricates (Ef'taraa) falsehood (El'Kaziba) about GOD (Älaallahi) after (Min Ba'di) that (Zaalika), then (Fa) they (Humu) are those (U'laaika) who are the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimuun).
3:95  Say (Qul'): "GOD has told the truth (Sodaqa-llahu). So (Fa) follow (Ettabiu') the Creed (Millata) of Abraham (Ib'raahiima), the orthodox (Haniifan); for (Wa) he was (Kaana) not (Maa) of (Mina) the polytheists (El'Mush'rikiin)." (6:161)
3:96  Indeed (Inna), the first (Awwala) House (Bai'tin) set up (Wudiä) for mankind (Lin' Naasi) was that which (Lallazii) is at (Bi) Bakka (Bakkata); blessed (Mubaarakan) and a guidance (Hudan) for all people (Lil' Äälamiin).
3:97  Therein (Fiihi) are signs (Aayaatu) as proofs (Bayyinaatun); the place (Maqaamu) of Abraham (2:125) (Ib'raahiima). Whoever (Waman) enters it (Dakhala-hu) will be (Kaana) safe (Aaminan). And (Wa) upon (Älaa) the people (En'Naasi) is a pilgrimage (Hijju) to the House (El'Bai'ti) for GOD (Lillahi); whoever (Mani) is capable of (Es'tatoa'ä) the way (Sabiilan) to it (ilai'hi). As for (Wa) those who (Man) disbelieve (Kafara), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) avails (Ganiyyun Äni) the worlds (El'Äälamiin).
3:98  Say (Qul'): "O (Yaa) People of the Book (Ah'lal' Kitaabi), why (Lima) do you disbelieve (Tak'furuuna) in (Bi) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) while (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is witnessing (Shahiidun) over (Älaa) what (Maa) you do (Ta'maluun)?"
3:99  Say (Qul'): "O (Yaa) People of the Book (Ah'lal' Kitaabi), why (Lima) do you repel (Tasudduuna) those who (Man') believe (Aamana) from (Än) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi), seeking to make it (Tab'guunahaa) crooked (Ewajan), while (Wa) you (Antum') are witnesses (Shuhadaau)? And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is not (Maa Bi) heedless (Gaafilin) of what (Ämmaa) you do (Ta'maluun)."
3:100  O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanuu'), if (In) you obey (Tutiiu') a group (Fariiqan) of (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) were given (Uutu') the Book (El'Kitaaba), they would revert you (p) (Yarudduu-kum) to disbelievers (Kaafiriin), after (Ba'da) your faith (iimaani-kum').
3:101  And (Wa) how (Kai'fa) could you disbelieve (Tak'furuuna) while (Wa) you (Antum') are the ones to whom (Älai'kum') the verses of GOD (7:35) (Aayaatu-llahi) are being recited (Tut'laa) and (Wa) among you (Fiikum') is HIS messenger (Rasuulu-hu)? And whoever (Waman) sticks to (Ya'tasim Bi) GOD (Ellahi), then (Fa) he has been (Qad') guided (Hudiya) to (ilaa) a straight (Mus'taqiim) path (Siraatin).
3:102  O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), reverence GOD (Etaqu'llaha) as HE (-hi) deserved (Haqqa) to be reverenced (Tuqaati-) and do not (Walaa) die (Tamuutunna) except (illa) while (Wa) you (p) (Antum) are submitters (Mus'limuun).
3:103  And (Wa) stick to (E'tasimu' Bi) the rope of GOD (Hab'li-llahi) all together (Jamiiän) and do not (Walaa) be separated (Tafarraqu'). And (Wa) remember (Ez'kuru') the blessing of GOD (Ni'mata-llahi) upon you (Älai'kum') when (Iz') you were (Kuntum') enemies (A'daa'an) and (Fa) HE united (Allafa Bai'na) your hearts (Quluubi-kum') and (Fa) you became (As'bah'tum) brothers (Ikh'waanan), by (Bi) HIS blessing (Ni'mati-hi). And (Wa) you were (Kuntum') on (Älaa) the edge (Shafaa) of a pit (Huf'ratin) of (Mina) the Fire (En'Naari), then (Fa) HE saved you (Anqaza-kum) from it (Min'haa). GOD (Ellahu) thus (Kaaalika) clarify (Yubayyinu) to you (Lakum') HIS verses (Aayaati-hi) perhaps you (Laällakum') will be guided (Tah'taduun).
3:104  And let (Wal') there be (-takun) a nation (Ummatun) of you (the believers) (Minkum') inviting (Yad'uuna) to (ilaa) good 1 (El'Khai'ri), calling (Ya'muruuna) for kindness 2 (Bil' Ma'ruufi) and (Wa) forbidding (Yan'haw'na Äni) abomination 3 (El'Munkari). And (Wa) those (U'laaika) are the ones who (Humu) will be the successful (El'Muf'lihuun).
3:105  And (Wa) do not (Laa) be (Takuunu') like (Ka) those who (Ellaziina) became separated (Tafarraqu') and differed (Ekh'talafu') after (Min Ba'di) what (Maa) had come to them (Jaa'a-humu) of proofs (El'Bayyinaatu). And (Wa) those (U'laaika) will have (Lahum') a terrible (Äziim) punishment (Äzaabun).
3:106  The day (Yaw'ma) some faces (Wujuuhun) will be white (Tab'yaddu) and (Wa) some faces (Wujuuhun) will be black (Tas'waddu). Then (Fa) as for (Ammaa) those (Ellaziina) whose faces (Wujuuhu-hum') have become black (Es'waddat'), "Did you disbelieve (A-kafar'tum) after (Ba'da) your faith (iimaani-kum')?! Then (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') the punishment (El'Äzaaba) for what (Bimaa) you were (Kuntum') disbelieving (Tak'furuun)."
3:107  And (Wa) as for (Ammaa) those (Ellaziina) whose faces (Wujuuhu-hum') have become white (Eb'yaddot'), thus (Fa) they will be in (Fii) the mercy of GOD (Rah'mati-llahi); eternally (Khaaliduun) therein (Fiihaa).
3:108  These (Til'ka) are the verses of GOD (45:6) (Aayaatu-llahi) which We recite (Nat'luu-ha) to you (s) (Älai'ka) in truth (Bil' Haqqi); for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) does not (Maa) intend (Yuriidu) any injustice (Zul'man) for the worlds (Lil' Äälamiin).
3:109  And (Wa) to GOD belongs (Lillahi) whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and whatever (Wamaa) is on earth (Fiil' Ar'di). And (Wa) to GOD (ilaallahi) return (Tur'jau) all matters (El'Umuur).
3:110  You (the believers) are (Kuntum') a good (Khai'ra) nation (Ummatin) produced (Ukh'rijat') for mankind (Lin' Naasi); you call for (Ta'muruuna Bi) kindness (El'Ma'ruufi) and (Wa) forbid (Tan'haw'na Ani) abomination (El'Munkari) and (Wa) believe (Tu'minuuna) in GOD (Billahi). And (Wa) if (Law') the People of the Book (Ah'lul' Kitaabi) should believe (Aamana), it would (La) be (Kaana) better (Khai'ran) for them (Lahum). Some of them (Min'humu) are believers (El'Mu'minuuna), but (Wa) most of them (Ak'tharu-humu) are immoral (El'Faasiquun).
3:111  They can never (Lan) harm you (Yadurruu-kum') except (illaa) harassment (Azaan). And (Wa) if (In) they should fight you (Yuqaatiluu-kum'), they will turn (Yuwalluu-) their backs (El'Ad'baara) to you (-kumu); then (Thumma) they will not (Laa) be helped (Yunsoruun).
3:112  Humiliation (Ez'Zillatu) has covered them (Duribat' Älai'himu) wherever (Ai'na) they (Maa) are apprehended (Thuqifuu'), except (illa) by (Bi) the rope (Hab'lin) from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) a rope (Hab'lin) from (Mina) the people (En'Naasi). And (Wa) they have brought in (Baa'uu Bi) wrath (Gadobin) from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) poverty (El'Mas'kanatu) has covered them (Duribat' Älai'himu). That (Zaalika) is because (Bi'anna-hum') they were (Kaanu') disbelieving (Yak'furuuna) in (Bi) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) and (Wa) killing (Yaq'tuluuna) the prophets (El'Anbiyaa'a) without (Bi-Gairi) right (Haqqin). That (Zaalika) is for what (Bimaa) they disobeyed (Äsow') and (Wa) were (Kaanu') trespassing (Ya'taduun).
3:113  They are not (Lai'su') equal (Sawaa'); among (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi) is a nation (group of people) (Ummatun) who stand (Qaa'imatun) reciting (Yat'luuna) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) during (Anaa'a) the night (Ellai'li) and (Wa) they (Hum') prostrate (Yas'juduun).
3:114  They believe (Yu'minuuna) in GOD (Billahi) and (Wa) the Last Day (El'Yaw'mil' Aakhiri), they call for (Ya'muruuna Bi) kindness (El'Ma'ruufi) and forbid (Yan'haw'na Äni) abomination (El'Munkari), and (Wa) they hasten (Yusaari'uuna) in (Fii) good deeds (El'Khai'raati). And (Wa) those (U'laaika) are among (Mina) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin).
3:115  And (Wa) whatever (Maa) they do (Yaf'älu') of (Min') good (Khai'rin), then (Fa) it (-hu) will never (Lan) be revoked (Yuk'faruu-). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is aware of (Äliimu Bi) the pious (El'Muttaqiin).
3:116  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaru') will never (Lan) be availed by (Tug'niya Än'hum') their wealth (Am'waalu-hum') nor (Walaa) their children (Aw'laadu-hum) against GOD (Minallahi) at all (Shai'an). For (Wa) those (U'laaika) are the companions (As'haabu) of the Fire (En'Naari), they (Hum') will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaaliduun).
3:117  The example (Mathalu) of what (Maa) they spend (Yunfiquuna) in (Fii) this (Haazihi) worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaati) is like (Ka) the example (Mathali) of a wind (Riihin) wherein (Fiiha) there is severe cold (Sirrun) striking (Asoabat') the cultivation (Har'tha) of a people (Qaw'min) who have wronged (Zolamuu') themselves (Anfusa-hum') and (Fa) destroys it (Ah'lakat'hu). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) did not (Maa) wrong them (Zolama-humu), but (Walaakin') they were wronging (Yaz'limuun) themselves (Anfusa-hum').
3:118  O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), do not (Laa) take (Tattakhizu') entourages (Bitoanatan) other than yourselves (Min Duuni-kum), they will not (Laa) desist from you (Ya'luunakum') in confusion (Khabaalan). They will wish (Waddu') for what (Maa) you have yielded (Änittum'), hatred (El'Bag'doau) has (Qad) appeared (Badati) from (Min’) their mouths (Af'waahi-him), but (Wa) what (Maa) their bosoms (Suduuru-hum') hide (Tukh'fii) is greater (Ak'baru). We have (Qad) clarified (Bayyanna) the verses (El'Aayaati) to you (Lakumu), if (In) you would (Kuntum) reason (Ta'qiluun).
3:119  Here (Haa) you (Antum') are those (U'laai) loving them (Tuhibbuunahum'), but (Wa) they do not (Laa) love you (Yuhibbuunakum'), and (Wa) you believe (Tu'minuuna) in the Book (Bil' Kitaabi), entirely (Kullihi). And (Wa) when (Izaa) they meet you (p) (Laquu-kum'), they say (Qaaluu'), "We have believed (Aamannaa)," but (Wa) when (Izaa) they pass (Khalaw'), they bite (Äddu') the fingertips (El'Anaamila) out of (Mina) rage (El'Gai'z) against you (Älai'kumu). Say (Qul): "Die (Muutuu') in (Bi) your rage (Gai'zi-kum')." Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is aware of (Äliimu Bi) the essence (Zaati) of the bosoms (Es'Suduur).
3:120  If (In) good (Hasanatun) touches you (p) (Tam'sas'kum'), it distresses them (Tasu'hum'); but (Wa) if (In) evil (Sayyi'atun) afflicts you (Tusib'kum'), they rejoice (Yaf'rahu') at it (Bihaa). But (Wa) if (In) you endure (Tas'biru') and (Wa) become pious (Tattaqu'), their scheme (Kai'du-hum') will not (Laa) harm you (Yadurru-kum') at all (Shai'an). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is conscious of (Muhiit Bi) what (Maa) they do (Ya'maluuna).
3:121  Also (Wa) when (Iz') you departed (Gadaw'ta) from (Min') your family (s) (Ah'li-ka) to assign (Tubawwiu) the believers (El'Mu'miniina) the stations (Maqaaeda) to fight (Lil' Qitaali). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is Hearing (Samiiun) and Omniscient (Äliim).
3:122  When (Iz') two factions (Toa'ifataani) among you (Minkum') had intended (Hammat) to (An) fail (Taf'shalaa), but (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) was their ally (Waliyyu-humaa); and (Wa) so let (Fal') the believers (El'Mu'minuun) rely (Yatawakkali) on GOD (Älaallahi).
3:123  And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) has certainly (Laqad') granted you victory (Nasora-kumu) at (Bi) Badr (Bad'rin) while (Wa) you (Antum') were subdued (Azillatun). Therefore (Fa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha) so that you (Laällakum') may be thankful (Tash'kuruun). (8:41-44) (17th Ramadan 2 AH – Battle of Badr)*
3:124  When (Iz') you (s) said (Taquulu) to the believers (Lil' Mu'miniina), "Is it not (A-lan) sufficient for you (Yak'fiya-kum') that (An) your LORD (Rabbu-kum') should reinforce you (Yumidda-kum') with (Bi) three (Thalaathati) thousand (Aalaafin) of (Mina) the Angels (El'Malaaikati) coming down (Munzaliin)?
3:125  Certainly (Balaa), if (In) you endure (Tas'biru) and (Wa) become pious (Tattaqu'), and (Wa) they come to you (Ya'tuu-kum) from (Min) this (Haaza) anger of theirs (Faw'ri-him'), your LORD (Rabbu-kum) will reinforce you (Yum'did'kum') with (Bi) five (Kham'sati) thousand (Aalaafin) of (Mina) the Angels (El'Malaaikati), by marking (Musawwimiin).
3:126  And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) did not (Maa) make it (Jaäla-hu) except (illa) as good news (Bush'raa) for you (Lakum') and (Wa) to (Li) reassure (Tat'ma'inna) your hearts (Quluubu-kum) thereby (Bihi). And (Wa) victory (En'Nas'ru) is only (Maa illa) from GOD (Min' Endi-llahi), the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizi), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
3:127  So that (Li) HE might sever (Yaq'taä) a party (Torafan) of (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaruu') or (Aw') suppress them (Yak'bita-hum'); then (Fa) they would return (Yanqalibu') disappointed (Khaaibiin).
3:128  Nothing (Lai'sa Shai'un) is unto you (s) (Laka) concerning (Mina) the matter (El'Am'ri); whether (Aw') HE (God) forgives them (Yatuuba Älai'him') or (Aw') punishes them (Yuäzziba-hum'), thence (Fa) indeed, they (Innahum') are transgressors (Zoalimuun).
3:129  And (Wa) to GOD belongs (Lillahi) whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and whatever (Wamaa) is on earth (Fiil' Ar'di). HE forgives (Yag'firu) whomever (Liman) HE wills (Yashaau) and (Wa) punishes (Yuäzzibu) whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).
3:130  O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), do not (Laa) consume (Ta'kulu') usury (2:275) (Er'Ribaa'), double (Ad'ääfan) and doubling (Mudoa'äfatan), but (Wa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha) so that you (Laällakum') may succeed (Tuf'lihuun).
3:131  And (Wa) beware of (Ettaqu') the Fire (En'Naara), which (Ellatii) has been prepared (Ueddat') for the disbelievers (Lil' Kaafiriin).
3:132  And (Wa) obey GOD (Atiiu'llaha) and the Messenger (Er'Rasuula) perhaps you (Laällakum') will attain mercy (Tur'hamuun).
3:133  And (Wa) hasten (Saariuu') to (ilaa) forgiveness (Mag'firatin) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum') and (Wa) a garden (Jannatin) whose width (Är'du-haa) is as the heavens (Es'Samaawaatu) and the earth (Wal' Ar'du) prepared (Ueddat') for the pious (Lil' Muttaqiin),
3:134  who (Ellaziina) disburse (Yunfiquuna) in (Fii) posperity (Es'Sarraai) and (Wa) adversity (Ed'Dorraai), and (Wa) are the suppressors (El'Kaazimiina) of rage (anger) (El'Gai'zo), and (Wa) they are pardoners (El'Ääfiina) of (Äni) the people (En'Naasi). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) loves (Yuhibbu) those who are benevolent (El'Muh'siniin).
3:135  And (Wa) the ones whom (Ellaziina), when (Izaa) they commit (Faälu') an obscenity (Faahishatan) or (Aw') wrong (Zolamuu') themselves (Anfusa-hum'), they remember GOD (Zakaru'llaha) and (Fa) seek forgiveness (Es'tag'firu') for (Li) their sins (Zunuubi-him'); and who (Waman) forgive (Yag'firu) sins (Ez'Zunuuba) if not (illa) GOD (Ellahu)? And (Wa) they do not (Lam') persist on (Yusirru' Älaa) what (Maa) they have committed (Faälu') while (Wa) they (Hum') know (Ya'lamuun).
3:136  Those (U'laaika) are the ones whose reward (Jazaau-hum) is forgiveness (Mag'firatun) from (Min) their LORD (Rabbi-him') and (Wa) gardens (Jannaatun) beneath which (Min Tah'ti-ha) rivers (El'An'haaru) flow (Taj'rii); they will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaalidiina). And (Wa) wonderful (Ni'ma) is the reward (Aj'ru) of the workers (El'Äämiliin).
3:137  Examples (4:26) (Sunanun) had already (Qad') passed (Khalat') before you (p) (Min Qab'li-kum), so (Fa) travel on (Siiru' Fii) earth (El'Ar'di) and (Fa) see (Enzuru') how (Kai'fa) was (Kaana) the end (Ääqibatu) of the deniers (El'Mukazzibiin).
3:138  This (Haaza) is declaration (55:4) (Bayaanun) for the people (Lin' Naasi) and (Wa) as guidance (Hudan) and (Wa) preachment (Maw'ezotun) for the pious (Lil' Muttaqiin).
3:139  So (Wa) do not (Laa) be weak (Tahinu') nor (Walaa) grieve (Tah'zanu'), for (Wa) you (Antumu) are the superior ones (47:35) (El'A'law'na), if (In) you are (Kuntum) believers (Mu'miniin).
3:140  If (In) an injury (wound) (Qar'hun) should touch you (p) (Yam'sas'kum'), then (Fa) an injury (Qar'hun) like it (Mith'lu-hu) has already (Qad') touched (Massa) other people (El'Qaw'ma). And (Wa) these (Til'ka) are days (El'Ayyaamu) which We alternate (Nudaawilu-haa) among (Bai'na) the people (En'Naasi) so that (Wali) GOD (Ellahu) may expose (Ya'lama) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') and (Wa) take (Yattakhiza) martyrs (Shuhadaa'a) from you (Minkum'). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) does not (Laa) like (Yuhibbu) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin).
3:141  So (Wa) that (Li) GOD (Ellahu) may purify (Yumahhiso) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') and (Wa) annihilate (Yam'haqa) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin).
3:142  Or (Am') do you (the believers) think (Hasib'tum') that (An) you will enter (Tad'khulu') the Garden (El'Jannata) while (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) has not (Lammaa) exposed (Ya'lami) those who (Ellaziina) strive (Jaahadu') among you (Minkum') and (Wa) exposed (Ya'lama) those who are patient (Es'Soabiriin)?
3:143  And (Wa) you (p) had (Kuntum') certainly (Laqad') wished for (Tamannaw'na) death (El'Maw'ta) before (Min Qab'li An) you encountered it (Tal'qaw'hu), so (Fa) you have (Qad') seen it (-Ra-ai'tumuu-hu) while (Wa) you (Antum') are looking (Tanzuruun).
3:144  And (Wa) Mohammed (33:40) (Muhammadun) is only (Maa illa) a messenger (Rasuulun) before whom (Min Qab'li-hi) messengers (Er'Rusulu) had already (Qad') passed (Khalat'). So if (A-fa”iin) he should die (Maata) or (Aw') get killed (Qutila), would you turn back (Enqalab'tum') on (Älaa) your heels (A'qaabi-kum')? And (Wa) whosoever (Man) turns back (Yanqalib') on (Älaa) his heels (Äqibai'hi), then (Fa) he will never (Lan) harm GOD (Yadurra) at all (Shai'an); but (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) will reward (Sa Yaj'zii) those who are grateful (Es'Shaakiriin).
3:145  And (Wa) it is (Kaana) not (Maa) for (Li) someone (Naf'sin) to (An) die (Tamuuta) except (illa) by (Bi) the permission of GOD (Iz'ni-llahi) at a decreed (Kitaaban) time (Muajjalan). And (Wa) whoever (Man) desires (Yurid') the reward (Thawaaba) of the world (Ed'Dun'ya), We give him (Nu'ti-hi) thereof (Min'ha); and whoever (Waman) desires (Yurid') the reward (Thawaaba) of the hereafter (El'Aakhirati), We give him (Nu'ti-hi) thereof (Min'ha). And (Wa) We will reward (Sa Naj'zii) those who are grateful (Es'Shaakiriin).
3:146  And (Wa) how many (Ka'ayyin) a (Min) prophet (Nabiyyin) along with whom (Maähu) many (Kathiirun) spiritual leaders (Ribbiyyuuna) had fought (Qaatala), but (Fa) they did not (Maa) fail (Wahanu') for what (Limaa) had struck them (Asoaba-hum') in (Fii) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi), nor (Wamaa) did they become weak (Doufu'), nor (Wamaa) did they surrender (Es'takaanu'). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) loves (Yuhibbu) those who are patient (Es'Soabiriin).
3:147  And (Wa) their statement (Qaw'la-hum') was (Kaana) only (Maa illaa) to (An) say (Qaalu'), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), forgive us (Eg'fir' La-naa) our sins (Zunuuba-naa) and (Wa) our transgression (Is'raafa-naa) throughout (Fii) our affair (Am'ri-naa) and (Wa) reinforce (Thabbit') our foothold (Aq'daama-naa) and (Wa) grant us victory over (Ensur'naa Älaa) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin)."
3:148  So (Fa) GOD (Ellahu) gave them (Aataa-humu) the reward (Thawaaba) of the world (Ed'Dun'ya) as well as (Wa) the best (Hus'na) reward (Thawaabi) of the hereafter (El'Aakhirati). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) loves (Yuhibbu) those who are benevolent (El'Muh'siniin).
3:149  O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanuu'), if (In) you obey (Tutiiu') those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru'), they will turn you back (Yarudduu-kum') on (Älaa) your heels (A'qaabi-kum'), then (Fa) you would become (Tanqalibu') losers (Khaasiriin).
3:150  In fact (Bali), GOD (Ellahu) is your guardian (master) (Maw'laa-kum'), and (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the best (Khai'ru) of helpers (En'Naasiriin).
3:151  We will cast (Sa Nul'qii) terror (Er'Ru'ba) into (Fii) the hearts (Quluubi) of those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') because (Bimaa) they have associated others (Ash'raku') with GOD (Billahi) of (Bihi) which (Maa) HE has not (Lam') sent down (Yunazzil') any authority (Sul'toanan). And (Wa) their refuge (Ma'waa-humu) is the Fire (En'Naaru), and (Wa) wretched (Bi'sa) is the abode (Math'waa) of the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin).
3:152  And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) had certainly (Laqad') told you the truth (Sodaqa-kumu) with HIS promise (Wa'da-hu), when (Iz') you were bettering them (Tahussuuna-hum) by (Bi) HIS permission (Iz'ni-hi) until (Hattaa) when (Izaa) you were defeated (Fashil'tum'), and (Wa) you disputed (Tanaaza'tum') about (Fii) the matter (El'Am'ri) and (Wa) disobeyed (Äsoi'tum) after (Min Ba'di) what (Maa) had been shown to you (p) (Araa-kum) which (Maa) you love (Tuhibbuuna). Among you (Minkum) are those who (Man) desire (Yuriidu) the world (Ed'Dun'ya), and (Wa) among you (Minkum) are those who (Man) desire (Yuriidu) the hereafter (El'Aakhirata). Then (Thumma) HE turned you away (Sorafa-kum') from them (Än'hum) so that (Li) HE might test you (Yab'taliya-kum'). But (Wa) HE has certainly (Laqad') pardoned you (Äfaa Änkum'), for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) possesses (Zuu) favour (Fad'lin) for (Älaa) the believers (El'Mu'miniin).
3:153  When (Iz') you rose (Tus'eduuna) without (Walaa) going after (Tal'wu Älaa) anyone (Ahadin) and (Wa) the Messenger (Er'Rasuulu) called you (Yad'uu-kum') from (Fii) your back (Ukh'raa-kum'). Then (Fa) HE (God) chastised you (Athaaba-kum') with distress (Gammaa) upon (Bi) distress (Gammin) in order not to (Likai'la) grieve (Tah'zanu') over (Älaa) what (Maa) had gone by you (Faata-kum') or (Walaa) for what (Maa) had struck you (Asoaba-kum'). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is conversant (Khabiiru) with what (Bimaa) you do (Ta'maluun).
3:154  Then (Thumma) after (Min Ba'di) the distress (El'Gammi), HE sent down (Anzala) safe (Amanatan) drowsiness (Nuääsaan) upon you (Älai'kum), covering (Yag'shaa) a faction (Toa'ifatan) of you (Minkum'), while (Wa) another faction (Toa'ifatun) were already (Qad') concerned (Ahammat'hum') with themselves (Anfusu-hum'), assuming (Yazunnuuna) about GOD (Billahi) other than (Gai'ra) the truth (El'Haqqi); the assumption (Zonna) of ignorance (El'Jaahiliyyati), saying (Yaquuluuna), "Is (Hal) anything (Min Shai'in) of (Mina) the matter (El'Am'ri) for us (Lanaa)?" Say (Qul'): "Indeed (Inna), the matter (El'Am'ra) belongs to GOD (Lillahi) entirely (Kullahu)." They conceal (Yukh'fuuna) within (Fii) themselves (Anfusi-him) what (Maa) they do not (Laa) reveal (Yub'duuna) to you (s) (Laka). They say (Yaquuluuna), "Had there been (Law' Kaana) something (Shai'un) of (Mina) the matter (El'Am'ri) for us (Lanaa), we would not (Maa) have been killed (Qutil'naa) here (Haahuna)." Say (Qul): "Had you been (Law' Kuntum') in (Fii) your houses (Buyuuti-kum'), those (Ellaziina) the killing (El'Qat'lu) was decreed for them (Kutiba Älai'himu) would have (La) gone forth (Baraza) into (ilaa) their deathbeds (Madoajie-him')," so (Wa) that (Li) GOD (Ellahu) might test (Yab'taliya) what (Maa) is in (Fii) your bosoms (Suduuri-kum') and (Wa) to (Li) purify (Yumahhiso) what (Maa) is in (Fii) your hearts (Quluubi-kum'). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is aware of (Äliimu Bi) the essence (Zaati) of the bosoms (Es'Suduur).
3:155  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) turned away (Tawallaw') from you (Minkum') on the day (Yaw'ma) the two assemblies (El'Jam'ääni) met (El'taqaa), only (Innamaa) the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) caused them to blunder (Es'tazalla-humu) for (Bi) some (Ba'di) of what (Maa) they had earned (Kasabu'). But (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) has certainly (Laqad') pardoned them (Äfaa Än'hum'). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Clement (Haliim).
3:156  O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), do not (Laa) be (Takuunu') like (Ka) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') and (Wa) said (Qaalu') about (Li) their brethren (Ikh'waani-him') when (Izaa) they travelled (Dorabu') through (Fii) the land (El'Ar'di) or (Aw') were (Kaanu') invaded (Guzzan), "Had they been (Law' Kaanu') with us (Endanaa), they would not (Maa) have died (Maatu') or (Wamaa) gotten killed (Qutilu')," that (Li) GOD might make (Yaj'äla-llahu) that (Zaalilka) a heartbreak (Has'ratan) in (Fii) their hearts (Quluubi-him'). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) gives life (Yuh'yii) and (Wa) causes death (Yumiitu), and (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is cognizant (Basiiru) of what (Bimaa) you do (Ta'maluuna).
3:157  And (Wa) whether (Lain) you are killed (Qutil'tum') in (Fii) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) or (Aw') died (Muttum'), the (La) forgiveness (Mag'firatun) from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) mercy (Rah'matun) are better (Khai'run) than what (Mimmaa) they accumulate (Yaj'mauun).
3:158  And (Wa) whether (Lain) you died (Muttum') or (Aw') get killed (Qutil'tum'), you will (La) be assemble (Tuh'sharuun) before GOD (ilaallahi).
3:159  And (Fa) because of (Bimaa) the mercy (Rah'matin) from GOD (Minallahi), you (s) were gentle (Linta) to them (Lahum'). And (Wa) had you been (Law' Kunta) rude (Fazzoan) and harsh (Galiizo) by heart (El'Qal'bi), they would have (La) disbanded (Enfaddu') around you (s) (Min' Haw'li-ka). So (Fa) pardon them (E'fu Än'hum') and (Wa) seek forgiveness (Es'tag'fir') for them (Lahum') and (Wa) consult them (Shaawir'hum') about (Fii) the matter (El'Am'ri). And (Fa) when (Izaa) you have decided (Äzam'ta), then (Fa) rely (Tawakkal') on GOD (Älaallahi). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) loves (Yuhibbu) those of confidence (El'Mutawakkiliin).
3:160  If (In) GOD (Ellahu) should support you (p) (Yansur'kumu), then (Fa) none (Laa) can overcome you (Gaaliba La-kum); but (Wa) if (In) HE should forsake you (Yakh'zul'kum'), then (Fa) who (Man) is there that (Zaallazii) can support you (Yansuru-kum) after HIM (Min Ba'adi-hi)? So let (Fal') the believers (El'Mu'minuun) rely (Yatawakkali) on GOD (Älaallahi).
3:161  And (Wa) it is (Kaana) not (Maa) for (Li) a prophet (Nabiyyin) to (An) trespass (intrude) (Yagulla). For (Wa) whoever (Man) trespasses (Yag'lul') will come (Ya'ti) with what (Bimaa) he trespassed (Galla) on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati) then (Thumma) every (Kullu) soul (Naf'sin) will be paid (Tuwaffaa) for what (Maa) it earned (Kasabat') and (Wa) they (Hum') will not (Laa) be wronged (Yuz'lamuun).
3:162  So is one who (Afa-mani) pursues (Ettabaä) the approval of GOD (2:207) (Rid'waana-llahi) like (Ka) one who (Man) brings in (Baa’a Bi) wrath (Sakhatin) from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) whose refuge (Ma'waa-hu) is Hell (Jahannamu)? And (Wa) wretched (Ba'sa) is the destiny (El'Masiir).
3:163  Theirs (Hum') are degrees (Darajaatun) at GOD (Endallahi), for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is cognizant (Basiiru) of what (Bimaa) they do (Ya'maluun).
3:164  GOD (Ellahu) has certainly (Laqad') favoured (Manna Älaa) the believers (El'Mu'miniina) when (Iz') HE raised (Baätha) among them (Fiihim') a messenger (Rasuulan) from (Min') themselves (Anfusi-him'), reciting (Yat'lu') to them (Älai'him') HIS verses (Aayaati-hi), purifying them (Yuzakkii-him') and (Wa) teaching them (Yuällimu-humu) the Book (El'Kitaaba) and the Wisdom (Wal' Hik'mata), although (Wa In) they were (Kaanu') in (Lafii) clear (Mubiin) error (Dolaalin), earlier (Min Qab'lu). (2:151)
3:165  Or was it when (Awalammaa) a misfortune (Musiibatun) struck you (Asoabat'kum'), you were already (Qad') struck (Asab'tum) twice like it (Mith'lai'haa)? You said (Qul'tum'), "How (Annaa) is this (Haaza)?" Say (Qul'): "It (Huwa) is from (Min' Endi) yourselves (Anfusi-kum')." Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is capable of (Qadiir Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in).
3:166  And (Wa) what (Maa) struck you (Asoaba-kum') the day (Yaw'ma) the two assemblies (El'Jam'ääni) met (El'taqaa) was by (Fabi) the permission of GOD (Iz'ni-llahi) so (Wa) that (Li) HE might expose (Ya'lama) the believers (El'Mu'miniin).
3:167  And (Wa) that (Li) HE might expose (Ya'lama) those who (Ellaziina) were hypocritical (Naafaqu'). For (Wa) it was said (Qiila) to them (Lahum'), "Come (Ta'äälaw') and fight (Qaatilu') in (Fii) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) or (Awi) to defend (Ed'fau')." They said (Qaalu'), "If (Law') we had known (Na'lamu) there would be fighting (Qitaalan), we would have (La) followed you (p) (Ettaba'naakum')." They (Hum') were closer (Aq'rabu) to disbelief (Lil' Kuf'ri) that day (Yaw'maizin) than they (Min'hum') were to faith (Lil' iimaani), saying (Yaquuluuna) with (Bi) their mouths (Af'waahi-him) what (Maa) was not (Lai'sa) in (Fii) their hearts (Quluubi-him'). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is aware (A'lamu) of what (Bimaa) they conceal (Yak'tumuun).
3:168  Those who (Ellaziina) said (Qaalu') about (Li) their brethren (Ikh'waani-him') while (Wa) sitting back (Qaädu'), "If (Law') they had obeyed us (Atoauu-naa), they would not (Maa) have been killed (Qutilu')." Say (Qul'): "Then (Fa) prevent (Ed'rau') death (El'Maw'ta) from (Än) yourselves (Anfusi-kumu), if (In) you should be (Kuntum') truthful (Soadiqiin)."
3:169  And (Wa) do not (Laa) think (Tah'sabanna) those who (Ellaziina) are killed (Qutilu') in (Fii) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) are dead (Am'waata). In fact (Bal'), they are alive (2:154) (Ah'yaau) at (Enda) their LORD (Rabbi-him'), living (Yur'zaquun).
3:170  Rejoicing (Farihiina) at what (Bimaa) GOD (Ellahu) has given them (Aataa-humu) of (Min) HIS favour (Fad'li-hi), while (Wa) receiving good news of (Yas'tab'shiruuna Bi) those (Ellaziina) after them (Min Khal'fi-him') who have not yet (Lam') caught up with them (Yal'haqu' Bi-him) that there will be no (Alaa) fear (Khaw'fun) upon them (Älai'him'), nor (Walaa) will they (Hum') grieve (Yah'zanuun).
3:171  Receiving good news of (Yas'tab'shiruuna Bi) blessing (Ni'matin) from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) favour (Fad'lin) and (Wa) that GOD (Annallaha) does not (Laa) waste (Yudiiu) the reward (Aj'ra) of the believers (El'Mu'miniin),
3:172  who (Ellaziina) responded (Es'tajaabu') to GOD (Lillahi) and (Wa) the Messenger (Er'Rasuuli) after (Min Ba'di) what (Maa) had struck them (Asoaba-humu) of injury (wound) (El'Qar'hu). For those who (Lillaziina) did well (Ah'sanu') among them (Min'hum') and became pious (Ettaqaw') is a great (Äziim) reward (Aj'run).
3:173  Those (Ellaziina) to whom (Lahumu) the people (En'Naasu) said (Qaala), "Indeed (Inna), people (En'Naasa) have (Qad') gathered (Jamau') against you (Lakum'), so (Fa) fear them (Ekh'shaw'hum')." But (Fa) it increased them (Zaada-hum') in faith (iimaanan), and (Wa) they said (Qaalu'), "GOD is sufficient for us (Has'bunaa-llahu) as (Wa) a Wonderful (Ni'ma) Representative (El'Wakiil)."
3:174  So (Fa) they returned (Enqalabu') to (Bi) the blessing (Ni'matin) from GOD (Minallahi) and (Wa) favour (Fad'lin), no (Lam') evil (Suu'un) touched them (Yamsas'hum'); and (Wa) they pursued (Ettabau') the approval of GOD (Rid'waana-llahi). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) possesses (Zuu) great (Äziim) favour (Fad'lin).
3:175  It is only (Innamaa) the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) that (Zaalikumu) frightens (Yukhwwifu) his allies (Aw'liyaa'a). So (Fa) do not (Laa) fear them (Takhaafuu-hum'), but (Wa) fear ME (Khaafuuni), if (In) you are (Kuntum) believers (Mu'miniin).
3:176  And (Wa) do not let (Laa) those who (Ellaziina) hasten (Yusaariuuna) into (Fii) disbelief (El'Kuf'ri) sadden you (s) (Yah'zun-ka). Indeed, they (Innahum') will never (Lan) harm GOD (Yadurru'llaha) at all (Shai'an). GOD has intended (Yuriidu-llahu) that HE will not (Alla) grant them (Yaj'äla La-hum') luck (Hazzoan) in (Fii) the hereafter (El'Aakhirati), and (Wa) they will have (Lahum') a terrible (Äziim) punishment (Äzaabun).
3:177  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) trade (Esh'tarawu') the Faith (El' iimaani) for (Bi) disbelief (El'Kurf'ra) will never (Lan) harm GOD (Yadurru'llaha) at all (Shai'an), for (Wa) they will have (Lahum') a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabun).
3:178  And (Wa) let not (Laa) those who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaruu') think (Yah'sabanna) that what (Annamaa) We dictate for them (Num'lii La-hum) is better (Khai'run) for (Li) their souls (Anfusi-him'). We only (Innamaa) dictate for them (Num'lii La-hum) that (Li) they may increase (Yaz'daaduu') in sin (Ith'man), for (Wa) they will have (Lahum') a humiliating (Muhiin) punishment (Äzaabun).
3:179  GOD (Ellahu) is (Kaana) not (Maa) to (Li) leave (Yazara) the believers (El'Mu'miniina) for (Älaa) what (Maa) you (Antum') are upon (Älai'hi) until (Hattaa) HE distinguishes (Yamiiza) the bad (El'Khabiitha) from (Mina) the good (Ettoyyibi), nor (Wamaa) is (Kaana) GOD (Ellahu) to (Li) show you (Yut'liä-kum' Älaa) the unseen (72:26-27) (El'Gai'bi), but (Walaakinna) GOD (Ellaha) chooses (Yaj'tabii) whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau) of (Min) HIS messengers (Rusuli-hi); so (Fa) believe (Aaminu') in GOD (Billahi) and (Wa) HIS messengers (Rusuli-hi). And (Wa) if (In) you believe (Tu'minu') and become pious (Tattaqu'), then (Fa) you will have (Lakum) a great (Äziim) reward (Aj'run).
3:180  And (Wa) let not (Laa) those who (Ellaziina) are stingy (Yab'khaluuna) think (Yah'sabanna) what (Bimaa) GOD (Ellahu) has given them (Aataa-humu) of (Min) HIS favour (Fad'li-hi) is (Huwa) better (Khai'ran) for them (Lahum). In fact (Bal'), it (Huwa) is bad (Sharrun) for them (Lahum'); they will be encircled by (Sa Yutowwaquuna) what (Maa) they were stingy (Bakhilu' Bi-hi) on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati). And (Wa) to GOD belongs (Lillahi) the heritage (57:10) (Miiraathu) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal'Ar'di). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is conversant (Khabiir) with what (Bimaa) you do (Ta'maluuna).
3:181  GOD (Ellahu) has certainly (Laqad') heard (Samiä) the statement (Qaw'la) of those who (Ellaziina) said (Qaaluu'), "Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is needy (Faqiirun), while (Wa) we (Nah'nu) are rich (Ag'niyaa'u)." We will record (Sa Nak'tubu) what (Maa) they said (Qaalu') and (Wa) their killing (Qat'la-humu) of the prophets (El'Anbiyaa'a) without (Bi-Gairi) right (Haqqin), and (Wa) We will say (Naquulu), "Taste (Zuuqu') the punishment (Äzaaba) of the Fire (El'Hariiq).
3:182  "That (Zaalika) is for what (Bimaa) your hands (Ai'dii-kum') have sent forth (Qaddamat') and (Wa) that GOD (Annallaha) is never (Lai'sa Bi) unjust (Zollaamin) to servants (mankind) (Lil' Äbiid)."
3:183  Those who (Ellaziina) said (Qaaluu'), "Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) has entrusted (Ähida) to us (ilai'naa) not to (Allaa) believe (Nu'mina Li) any messenger (Rasuulin) until (Hattaa) he brings us (Ya'tiya-naa Bi) an offering (5:27) (Qur'baanin) which (-hu) fire (En'Naaru) will consume (Ta'kulu-)." Say (Qul'): "There have already (Qad') come to you (Jaa'a-kum') messengers (Rusulun) before me (Min Qab'lii) with proofs (Bil' Bayyinaati) and (Wa) with that which (Billazii) you said (Qul'tum'). So (Fa) why (Lima) did you kill them (Qatal'tumuu-hum'), if (In) you should be (Kuntum') truthful (Soadiqiin)?"
3:184  And (Fa) if (In) they deny you (s) (Kazzabuu-ka), then (Fa) they had already (Qad') denied (Kuzziba) messengers (Rusulun) before you (Min Qab'li-ka), who came with (Jaa'uu Bi) proofs 1 (El'Bayyinaati), scriptures 2 (Ez'Zuburi), and (Wa) the enlightening (El'Muniir) Book 3 (El'Kitaabi).
3:185  Every (Kullu) soul (Naf'sin) will taste (Zaa'iqatu) death (21:35) (El'Maw'ti), and (Wa) you will only (Innamaa) be paid (Tuwaffaw'na) your rewards (Ujuura-kum') on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati). So (Fa) whoever (Man) is budged (Zuh'ziha) away from (Äni) the Fire (En'Naari) and (Wa) admitted (Ud'khila) into the Garden (El'Jannata), then (Fa) he has indeed (Qad') triumphed (Faaza). And (Wa) the worldly (Ed'Dun'yaa) life (El'Hayaatu) is only (Maa illa) an enjoyment (Mataau) of delusion (El'Guruur).
3:186  You will (La) be tested (Tub'lawunna) within (Fii) your wealth (Am'waali-kum') and (Wa) your souls (Anfusi-kum'), and (Wa) you will (La) hear (Tas'maunna) from (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) were given (Uutu') the Book (El'Kitaaba) before you (the believers) (Min Qab'li-kum') and from (Wamina) those who (Ellaziina) associate others (Ash'rakuu') much (Kathiiran) harassment (Azaan). But (Wa) if (In) you endure (Tas'biru') and (Wa) become pious (Tattaqu'), then (Fa) indeed (Inna), that (Zaalika) will be from (Min') the determination (Äz'mi) of matters (El'Umuur).
3:187  And (Wa) when (Iz') GOD (Ellahu) took (Akhaza) a covenant (Miithaaqa) with those who (Ellaziina) were given (Uutu') the Book (El'Kitaaba) that (La), "You shall make it known (Tubayyinunnahu) to the people (Lin' Naasi) and do not (Walaa) conceal it (2:159) (Tak'tumuunahu)." But (Fa) they discarded it (Nabazuu-hu) behind (Waraa'a) their backs (Zuhuuri-him') and (Wa) traded (Esh'taraw') it for (Bihi) a little (Qaliilan) price (Thamanan). And (Fa) wretched (Bi'sa) is what (Maa) they were trading (Yash'taruun).
3:188  Do not (Laa) think (Tah'sabanna) those who (Ellaziina) exult (Yaf'rahuuna) in what (Bimaa) they have committed (Ataw') and (Wa) like (Yuhibbuuna) to (An) be praised (Yuh'madu') for what (Bimaa) they have not (Lam') done (Yaf'älu'), so (Fa) do not (Laa) think of them (Tah'sabannahum) to be in (Bi) triumph (Mafaazatin) against (Mina) the punishment (El'Äzaabi), for (Wa) they will have (Lahum') a painful (Aliim) punishment (Äzaabun).
3:189  And (Wa) to GOD belongs (Lillahi) the dominion (Mul'ku) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di), for (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is capable of (Qadiir Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in).
3:190  Indeed (Inna), in (Fii) the creation (Khal'qi) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) and the variation (Ekh'tilaafi) of the night (Ellai'li) and (Wa) the day (En'Nahaari) are (La) signs (Aayaatin) for (Li) those (U'lii) of intelligence (El'Al'baab),
3:191  who (Ellaziina) commemorate GOD (Yaz'kuruuna'llaha); standing (Qiyaaman), sitting (Qu'uudan), and (Wa) upon (Älaa) theirs sides (Junuubi-him') and (Wa) ponder (Yatafakkaruuna) about (Fii) the creation (Khal'qi) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), YOU did not (Maa) create (Khalaq'ta) these (Haaza) in vain (Baatilan); glory be to YOU (Sub'haana-ka), and (Fa) safeguard us from (Qinaa) the punishment (Äzaaba) of the Fire (En'Naar).
3:192  "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), indeed (Inna-) whomever (Man) YOU (-ka) admit (Tud'khili) into the Fire (En'Naara), thence (Fa) YOU have (Qad') humiliated him (Akh'zai'ta-hu). And (Wa) the unjust will have (Liz' Zoalimiina) no (Maa Min) helpers (An'soar).
3:193  "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), indeed we (Inna-naa) have heard (Sami'naa) a caller (Munaadiyan) calling (Yunaadii) to the Faith (42:52) (Lil' iimaani) that (An'), 'Believe (Aaminu') in (Bi) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'),' so (Fa) we have believed (Aamannaa). Our LORD (Rabba-naa), so (Fa) forgive us (Eg'fir' Lanaa) our sins (Zunuuba-naa) and (Wa) atone (Kaffir') our bad deeds (Sayyi'aati-naa) for us (Ännaa) and (Wa) cause us to die (Tawaffa-naa) with (Maä) the pious (righteous) (El'Ab'raar).
3:194  "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), and (Wa) give us (Aati-naa) what (Maa) YOU promised us (Ädtta-naa) through (Älaa) YOUR messengers (Rusuli-ka) and (Wa) do not (Laa) humiliate us (Tukh'zinaa) on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati). Indeed, YOU (Inna-ka) do not (Laa) break (Tukh'lifu) a promise (El'Mii'ääd)."
3:195  So (Fa) their LORD (Rabbu-hum) responded (Es'tajaaba) to them (Lahum') that, "I (Annanii) will not (Laa) waste (Udiiu) the deed (Amala) of a worker (Äämilin) among you (Minkum), a (Min) male (Zakarin) or (Aw') a female (Unthaa); you are of each other (Ba'du-kum Min Ba'din). As for (Fa) those who (Ellaziina) emigrated (Haajaru') and (Wa) were evicted (Ukh'riju') from (Min) their homes (Diyaari-him') and (Wa) were harmed (Uuzu') in (Fii) MY cause (Sabiilii) and (Wa) were fought (Qaatalu') and (Wa) killed (Qutilu'), I will (La) atone (Ukaffiranna) their bad deeds (Sayyi'aati-him') for them (Än'hum'), and (Wa) I will (La) admit them (Ud'khilannahum') into gardens (Jannaatin) beneath which (Min Tah'ti-haa) rivers (El'An'haaru) flow (Taj'rii),” as reward (Thawaaban) from (Min' Endi) GOD (Ellahi). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) possesses (Endahu) the best (Hus'nu) reward (Etthawaab).
3:196  Do not let (Laa) the movement (Taqallubu) of those who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaru') in (Fii) the land (El'Bilaad) delude you (s) (-Yagurrannaka).
3:197  A little (Qaliilun) enjoyment (Mataa'un); then (Thumma) their refuge (Ma'waa-hum') is Hell (Jahannamu), and (Wa) wretched (Bi'sa) is the resting place (El'Mihaad).
3:198  But (Laakini) those who (Ellaziina) reverenced (Ettaqaw') their LORD (Rabba-hum') will have (Lahum') gardens (Jannaatun) beneath which (Min Tah'ti-ha) rivers (El'An'haaru) flow (Taj'rii), eternally (Khaalidiina) therein (Fiihaa); a lodging (Nuzulan) from (Min' Endi) GOD (Ellahi). And (Wa) what (Maa) is with GOD (Endallahi) is better (Khai'run) for the pious (Lil' Ab'raar).
3:199  And (Wa) indeed (Inna), among (Min') the People of the Book (Ah'lil' Kitaabi) are (La) those who (Man) believe (Yu'minu) in GOD (Billahi) and what (Wamaa) was revealed (Unzila) to you (ilai'kum') and what (Wamaa) was revealed (Unzila) to them (ilai'him'), being submissive (Khaashieena) to GOD (Lillahi). They do not (Laa) trade (Yash'taruuna) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) for (Bi) a little (Qaliilan) price (Thamanan). Those (U'laaika) will have (Lahum') their reward (Aj'ru-hum') at (Enda) their LORD (Rabbi-him'). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is swift (Sariiu) in reckoning (El'Hisaab).
3:200  O you (Yaa Ayyuha) who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu'), be steadfast (Es'biru'), be patient (Soabiru'), be united (Raabitu') and (Wa) beware of GOD (Ettaqu'llaha) perhaps you (Laällakum') will succeed (Tuf'lihuun).
